It's nostalgic and the best sandwich shop. When I studied abroad in London back in 2006- I was so…read morelucky to live up the street and got to eat here everyday! I've come back to visit London several times since then (most recently in September) and its amazing how all the shops have changed on this block but this sandwich shop still remains! I am sooo glad it's still here! Seriously the best sandwiches, hot dishes such as Samosas- still cheap and fast service! Love that the locals come here everyday and know they can get the best sandwich or hot food from here! I'm obsessed with their simple bacon and egg sandwich (all comes on a baguette) I get it with no sauce of any kind. My second choice- chicken with corn. Simple yet so tasty. No need a million toppings-

This is the best sandwich shop in the world and I look down on anyone that disagrees. Just kidding…read more The sandwiches and employees here are pretty amazing though- as are the prices! I came here 9 years ago when I was a student and vowed to come back to try more tasty treats. I did just that and brought my husband this time! We ordered: -Tandoori sandwich (hot) -Peri Peri Chicken sandwich (hot) Both were so delicious, huge, and under 3 pounds (which is unbelievable)! I would say peri peri chicken was the tastiest. The flavor was on point and had a good kick of spice. If you want to save money and are in the area-maybe to go visit the V&A or another museum, come grab a quick meal to go here first and then have a picnic!

It's alright here at Miss Ellie's, nothing spectacular but does exactly what you need. It's a small…read morecafe-type place in South Kensington (just near the tube station) and very handy for a bite to eat especially if you're on the go as just about everything they offer is handheld (croissants, panninis, massive doughnuts, cookies, tea, coffee, soft drinks, pasties etc. etc.etc). There are seats and tables inside but not many. The prices are fairly reasonable given the area (my pannini was £3.49 I believe) and on my 2 or so previous visits, whatever I've eaten from Miss Ellie's has been rather nice. I'll be popping back in if I'm in the area and a bit peckish, farewell for now, Ian

No, not Miss Millie's U silly... this is Ms Ellie's. And it's not half bad. It's a nice, nay…read moreeven good, bakery. So there's your typical rows of croissants and pastry with chocolate in, for the Kensington scene to gorge themselves upon. It's small premises, which lets the 'experience' down. So tables are quite cramped together, and you're sitting on those cheap metal table and chairs, so if it's cold, like it is at the moment, maybe not great to sit outside. They standardly do coffee, out of at least a proper coffee machine. But really, nothing that excels. I'd only really come here for a pastry. Not the whole cafe or coffee shop experience, grap something and move. Miss Ellie's has none of the kind of cosy little corners that you'd want to spend a long time in. So good bakery, just not great as a coffee shop... Hhhmmm
