All of his coffees are exceptional with strong hints of chocolate, or cocoa, and some have fruity notes. He ensures only the highest quality beans are used and it is Fair Trade/gourmet coffee where the coffee farmer is paid a premium for their hard labor and care of their crop. Breakfast buffet is decent with a pretty good amount of options but it's also quite expensive. The service is generally classic passive aggressive southern hospitality with some more genuinely nice servers sprinkled in. I do understand this part is a little hard to overcome as they of course need to hire locals, but it's an aspect of the experience nevertheless. On the positive side, it's a beautiful location. I just wish the pub area were more amenable for future hangs. Also of course everyone drinks and drives, so it would also be cool if there were a shuttle within Lake of the Woods, but I suppose that's a separate complaint. This should be gathering spot for a large portion of the community, instead I understand it to be struggling when it absolutely should not be.
