The waffle is crispy but soft and the coffee is just a great, smooth frappe treat!! The staff are so friendly, the place is cutely decorated and they play uplifting Christian. It's like there isn't any good ventilation or something. I can't swing it. This most recent visit I had stopped prior to closing and ordered a coffee. I was inside no more than 3-5 minutes and the whole rest of the day my clothing reeked of their shop. I would love to come back with friends, especially on delay-days which we will be having soon I imagine, but to avoid smelling like their place all day, I will have to pass. The coffee is good, though. Their menu has tons to choose from and there is something for everyone!

She remembered hearing that this is a beloved local donut shop, so of course we had to check it out. Free street parking was easy to find nearby, which is always a plus. When we walked in, the shop was quiet, and a young lady came out from the back to help us. We asked a few questions about what was available, but unfortunately, the interaction felt a little rushed--as though our curiosity was an inconvenience. We were genuinely interested in learning more about Red's history and offerings, so that part was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the donuts themselves did not disappoint. My wife chose the apple fritter, which she loved--it was flavorful and fresh. I went with the donut holes, which were light, sweet, and tasty. The shop itself has a cute, small-town charm that adds to the experience. Overall, the donuts were yummy and the location is great, but the customer service could be warmer to match the reputation and nostalgia that surrounds Red's. We'd still encourage donut lovers to stop by for a sweet treat--especially if you're exploring downtown Lexington.

My husband and I love getting a coffee while we shop around so this was perfect! We were surprised to see that they offer so many options either hot, iced, or blended. They even had a special holiday menu which we, of course, had to order from. I got the iced hand warmer (our barista joked with us about what an oxymoron that is LOL) which consisted of chocolate, cinnamon, and brown sugar. It was DELICIOUS. Perfect balance of syrup to coffee. My husband got the iced turtle latte and his was good also, maybe a little less coffee flavor because there was both caramel and chocolate in his. The staff was super nice and efficient. Besides joking with us about our order, they were friendly and prompt with getting our coffees to us, even with how busy they were. We will definitely be stopping into the antique store when we are in the Lexington area and of course that will have us ordering another coffee from Wallburg Emporium and coffee shop!

Four of us were able to place orders, eat, socialize, and get out in less than an hour. Super speedy! Minus one star because it is so smoky inside. They have a grill area where they cook, which is fine, but there is no hood/ventilation and so when they grill anything, the smoke just goes out into the restaurant. The four of us who ate there smelled like bacon smoke the entire afternoon. Will continue to eat from here, just maybe not inside until the ventilation sees an improvement.
