There is a little park right across the street where you can boat in from Lake Lower Beverly. I always like looking at the crafted goods and the local art on the walls. On top of that the staff is very friendly and helpful.

There are not a lot of tables to eat at - only 3, with a few couches interspersed. The staff and patrons are friendly. We got there early today, and had time to look around before our friends got there. This gave us time to wait for a table, It gets busy in here, so ordering can take some time. However, the food was a while coming out. Our food came out well before our friends' food. However, the food was tasty when it did come out. Unfortunately, my eggs were a bit better done than I like them, but the meal was still edible, while we were eating and our friends were waiting for their food, the waitress admitted that they were short staffed by 2 people (you could really tell!) Later on, we heard they had run out of eggs. Although it is an interesting place, with an eclectic menu, and it's not next door for us, I would not be in a hurry to go back. I would give it one more chance, though, in a while, hoping they get their staffing issues sorted.

The owners work tirelessly to bring quality atmosphere and food to it's patrons. They are so kind and friendly, and go out of their way to make sure your visit is enjoyable. Cafe le Matin has great coffee, breakfast and lunch menu items, but one of the best eggs benedicts I have had in Calgary. They have a few Korean dishes as well. The Bugolgi Long Burger is delicious and worth a try if you are feeling like trying something new and delicious. They also have Bipimbap. Their portions are very generous. You may have trouble finishing. As many businesses have struggled during COVID times, these folks have as well, but they are not giving up. Please support this family owned and operated business and keep your hard earned money local rather than supporting large chains who are often owned internationally. Also, they have some challenges with adjacent businesses inappropriately taking over the parking stalls directly in front of Cafe le Matin.

The brunch menu has lots of traditional options (eggs & bacon, omlettes etc) and the coffee is fantastic. The set up involves you ordering & paying at the main counter and then once you choose a seat, your order will be delivered to you. I spied some amazing looking rice krispie squares that I didn't get a taste of, but a good reason to come back again soon!

I was looking for a coffee place for a mid afternoon pick me up and i found Sens on Yelp. I saw a…read morereview saying that it was far from the downtown core, but i chanced it anyways because the weather was nice and lets face it, everyone needs a walk. The walk was actually quite short, if you consider where the farmers market is located, its only about a 5 min walk away, 10 minutes if you're a really slow walker. The people behind the bar, i assume are the owners spoke French (and English), so it was fun to try an get my son to practice some of the French he's learned (he saw a sign that said Je parle Francais). But he was shy and said he forgot all his French even though school just ended the week before. I ordered a latte, and waited for my drink to be made. Things move slowly in the relaxed Parisian way (the only way I could describe it). So it took a bit of time for my coffee to be made. But hey its vacation time, what's the rush. On the bar, there was cocoa powder, cinnamon, liquid cane sugar, and honey for you to add to your drink. My latte was made well, nice and smooth with no acidic after tones. If anyone is in Kingston in the downton core, make sure to stop by here for a coffee. Prices were reasonable. There was plenty of seating, decor was rustic charm with exposed beams and exposed brick/rock work.
