I decided to come visit this location on a Friday afternoon. I love all the natural light you get from two walls! The furniture was made of light-colored wood and burnt orange. Very calming! A few handfuls of customers trickled in and out, but it didn't get too busy. I ordered the peach tranquility. My favorite herbal tea from Starbucks! It never disappoints! Staff was absolutely fantastic! I'm sure I'll be back! Parking is ample and there's no drive-thru here, which makes this places a tad less busy than other locations. read more

Starbucks is a kind of a magical place that people tend to either love or hate. I'm on the "love it" category, largely because it's reliable just about wherever you go. We recently visited this location on a Sunday afternoon for a quick java fix. I'm more of a Macchiato kind of guy, while my wife is a Java Chip Frappuccino fan. We've been to this location a few times and it's never been too busy. On this particular visit there was only one customer, so we went right up to the counter to order. I always have to order for my wife because she doesn't understand Starbucks lingo (Personally I find it a bit ridiculous as well, but after a time you get used to it). Within two minutes of walking in the door our order was placed and we waited. In all of our visits this location has always been very clean inside with no trash on the floors, trash cans never full, and tables recently wiped down. I really like the taller tables this location has. Our orders were ready in less than five minutes (in some Starbucks that is a downright miracle) which is actually amazingly fast. I love when I first get my cup of coffee (in this case the Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchiato) and I wrap my hands around it. There is something about the heat of a fresh cup of coffee that feels like a hug from someone who hugs REALLY well. The employees here are always friendly (if a bit hurried at times, if it's very busy) and never rush the order process. They also take the time to explain if someone has questions. Side note: It's interesting that there are 3 Starbucks within about 1/10 of a mile at the intersection of Taylorsville Rd. and Hurstbourne. Since they're attached to or inside of other businesses, there's also no drive-thru. Not that that's a show stopper. Believe me, if someone wants coffee it doesn't matter. :) read more

I don't often review chain donuts, but my sister offered to get me something free at Starbucks. Since I have been wanted to try their donut for a while, I asked her to get me one. I 'should' be more harsh on this donut, but it was actually a decent donut. It had a good size to it and was a delicious cakey donut. They did offer to heat it up for me, which was a plus. I guess in a pinch, this would be a good regular donut, but I wouldn't pay $3.25 for just a regular donut (which is what it cost). Still, I supposed you could do worse. This is your typical Starbucks. Stuffy, packed with business folk from around the area, and a snobby manager. If it wasn't the only place to get coffee by my home, I would frequent elsewhere. The coffee is good but the management kind of sucks. I got told to shhh and hold on by a manager when they couldn't get my free drink to go through. The app wasn't working well but they made me feel bad because of it. I was simply trying to state that I would pay for it and use my free drink next time. Was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Line wasn't terrible but it wasn't short, went in thinking it might take a bit before I get my coffee but nope. Paid using the app (gotta get those rewards), and it was very simple. I tried they're new Cinnamon Shortbread latte and it wasn't bad at all. Meh. Manager is bossy and rude to customers. She literally told me that there was no reason for me to place a mobile order if I'm in the store... which would be fine except for the long line of people and a paying customer should be able to choose how they order and pay. I still placed my mobile order, sans sandwich because they don't keep their inventory updated, and walked out of there way ahead of when I would have if I stayed in line and dealt with her. I stop at this Starbucks once a week because it's really close to my work. I go to plenty of other Starbucks locations but the reason I wanted to review this one is because there is a particular employee there that I just enjoy very much. She is always kind, happy, and calm. And this might sound weird, but she kind of reminds me of Carrie from Portlandia in both demeanor and appearance. Today, I noticed no skim milk was out so I went back to the counter and asked for some. After I had set my lid down, she came back with a new one (because, you know, germs). I didn't even think about that, so I felt like that was very thoughtful of her Aside from my always pleasant interactions with her, the store is clean and quick so I can pop in, pop out, and get to work. Good things about this Starbucks: - Visible from Hurstbourne Lane. It's a relatively quick on and off back to Hurstbourne Lane or Taylorsville Road. - Parking is generous for a Starbucks and that's because it is located next to multiple stores in the same lot. - Service has always been friendly and quick, even during the morning rush. Things I don't like about this Starbucks: - It does not have a drive thru. I don't want to sound snobby or lazy but sometimes I'm in need of coffee because I just don't feel like getting out of my car and walking yet without some caffeine. You don't want to run into me in line without some coffee in me. - The décor is the same as all Starbucks but the atmosphere in this location is definitely not as cozy feeling as most other stores. It's because the layout of this store causes a louder atmosphere with people in a busy line appearing closer to those sitting down. I don't think most Starbucks are cozy anyway but this one even less. Overall it's like most Starbucks but it's a store you want to go in, get your drink, and not stick around if you want to concentrate on anything important. read more

Clean store, the drinks are made correctly and most consistently the past 5 times in a month I went there. Always ordered either Caramel Macchiato or Green Tea Frappucino with 2% and no whip. I also ordered cheese danishes or butter croissants, which were often slightly more burnt than they should be compared to other Starbucks; I took 1 star off for that. Atmosphere was good, big nice wooden table with good lighting to sit at and read. They have a total of 2-3 outlets, which are more than other stores, which is a huge convenience if you need to work on your laptop. Will recommend for people who just want to get a drink and a place to read. read more

Happy to see the good reviews for this particular SB, as there aren't a lot of coffee shops on this side of the Watterson (and I won't be living outside the W much longer, so yay me...). This one has a nice feel to it as well as consistent service. It's never terribly crowded, and the seating options (including a bar-height counter table that I like) are comfortable enough that I can easily work here for an hour or two. Well who doesn't love Starbucks?! I stopped by just to get a lemon pound cake and caramel frap and ended up getting a slice of their chocolate banana nut cake instead of my caramel frap. Now the chocolate chip banana nut wasn't bad, but it didn't have a chance up against my lemon pound cake. The lemon pound cake is very good. As any traditional pound cake, its dense yet when you bite into it--its very moist. The cake itself isn't that sweet but to get that sweet kick that I love I actually eat the cake from the bottom to the top where the icing is (basically eating it the same way the employees put the cake in the little bag (icing first). If you don't believe me try it for yourself. It is the best tasting non-homemade pound cake you'll ever eat. read more

Terrible customer service and rude staff. Came by today to see if they were carrying the 2018 holiday refill tumbler, to my surprise they were sitting on the end of the counter. I picked one up and stood in line for 10min only to be scolded like a child when I reached check out. The lady snatched it from hand and told me I was not allowed to buy one today. I asked why they were on the counter then and she replied that end of the counter is not for items on sale (its the first thing you see when you walk in the door). I asked when I would be able to purchase and she said she had no clue, but possibly black Friday. read more

I am a Starbucks addict but this is my favorite one to visit. It does not have a drive through I have to go in and I'm okay with that because they always greet my by name and know what my usual coffee is. The staff is always so kind, helpful, sweet, and truly cares how my day is going! They also are very good at suggesting new drinks that I may like based on my reguLar order. If you are looking for a coffee shop that is consistently great with product, speed, and staff this is the Starbucks for you! They will know you just after two visit and make this larger city feel like a small town. I also like that they have had 90% of the same staff for the 2 years I've been going there. Another great perk to going to Starbucks is the rewards program they have with the reload able gift cards. Each purchase you make on that card in person or using the app you will earn stars to get a free drink. There are also other perks to the rewards program just ask your barista for details. read more

Came into this location while running some errands. There was a small line, but they were trying to move swiftly. A few more hands would help. Ordered a grande coffee with heavy cream. They were very accommodating and didn't look at me funny. It's been a while since I've been to a Starbucks - i brew at home. However, these folks were nice. The bathroom was clean. The store was well kept and the sugar bar/station (idk the proper name) was well stocked. I was very satisfied with my coffee and the additional cup of ice I got was good for the trip on the road. Just walked out of the Starbucks location on Taylorsville and Hurstborn. Just wanted a large regular coffee with heavy cream ! And the female worker that was asked to assist our server was so rude and off the top of her head said "No Cream". No cream in a coffee shop!!?? And when we asked her to put the money back onto our gift card she did so with an attitude.., I wouldn't be going there again. I'll drive a couple more mile to get a friendlier atmosphere and the cream I like in my coffee! read more
