Today I was two hours away from home and stopped by the Starbucks off Highway 265 exit 17. My car completely died right in front of the drive-through window. We stopped here for hot chocolate to go as we were out gallivanting around town looking at Christmas lights. Two adults and one kiddo and I was impressed and relieved that the staff made sure to not superheat the kiddo's beverage! :) The hot chocolate was topped with whipped cream, which was a nice surprise. We all loved our drinks and commented how rich and delicious it was. So, I'll bet it was full fat milk and a bazillion calories, but so worth it for a treat. It's cold and miserable but Starbucks is just across the street from Costco. After picking up my wife's prescription I decided on a coffee and a chocolate croissant. Service was quick and friendly. They warmed up the croissant and brought it to my table. Remember that if you drink your coffee inside refills are free. And having a gift card helps immensely. read more

I'm really not one for giving national chains reviews on yelp, but this Starbucks deserves the review. Their local to my neighborhood and they're always incredibly kind, efficient, and correct with my order. The food and drinks are good, the usual Starbucks, fair, but the service is what makes this place extraordinary. They're very quick on the drive-through and very social when you go inside. All of the employees make it their goal to be kind and friendly if it's before the sun comes up or after the sun goes down. I frequent this location often for my Starbucks needs. Getting into the establishment can be challenging due to the tight spaces. The line moves rather quickly and the parents are always so nice. Stopped by Starbucks on Christmas Eve for a quick pick me up before seeing the family. This trip took eonsssss. Update: October 7 2018. Okay, so the last few times I've been to this location I've opted for the drive thru due to time. Well, each time I've had a specific barista take my order- she hears my order correctly and repeats it back to me. Every single time I get to the front and pay- she hands me a macchiato. I order iced lattes. I've let it slide a few times, bc I thought maybe she was confused? Today my husband expressed to her that we didn't order the macchiato, and ordered an iced caramel latte. She then proceeded to try to get us to accept it by saying "well macchiatos are just like lattes" We told her we would prefer what we ordered and she honestly seemed really irritated that we did not take the drink she knew was wrong. read more

The employees at this store will always be my favorite. Lately, they've been dealt a shit hand. I came in yesterday afternoon with my mom and they were SEVERELY understaffed with only three people working and a line out the door. Katie (the manager), Sarah (barista) and another barista whose name I do not know. All were professional and kind and doing their very best! Sarah was on bar, the other barista was on the front register, and Katie was doing her best in drive thru and doing her best to help Sarah with the flood of drink stickers! I remember my Starbucks days and I had many shifts that were like this, unfortunately. It was hard to resist the urge to throw on an apron and help them (it really hasn't been that long since I left- I think I remember all the drink recipes!) but I had to simply stand by and wait for my drinks. The hours listed online are incorrect. The coffee is over-roasted and overpriced. The service is slow due to lack of staff... Hint to management and clueless corporate execs who call the shots despite having never actually worked at a Starbucks cafe in their lives: offer your workers decent pay with benefits (including allowing tips to be made on card payments, since hardly anyone carries cash these days) and reasonable hours and treat your employees with respect, then you'll have more skillful staff that make better tasting drinks faster, which leads to more happy customers and more money in your pockets. This location is super busy most people actually order inside and take it out. The service is quick and friendly. They have a wall of products and food items as well. I've been going to this Starbucks for about a decade. For most of that time, this has been a reliable location. However, something is amiss as of late. My last three trips in particular summarize how it can be a somewhat mixed bag: - 6/4/2019: I ordered a machiato via the mobile app. It took longer than the app estimated, about 15-20 minutes. This was an unusual turnaround time for this location, so I just chalked it up to an off day, possibly staff turnover, etc. - 6/26/2019: They don't have nitro cold brew, so I settled on a cold brew with cold foam. Pretty easy order, right? I ordered this via the mobile app and it took over 20 minutes for a team of 6 with virtually zero traffic to make the beverage. Eventually, I asked as to the whereabouts of my order -- making sure to inquire in a casual and reasonable manner given that we can all have off days at work, being human -- the barista seemed really hypersensitive to questioning, as did her teammates, so perhaps morale is really down at this location for one reason or another. - 7/15/2019: I ordered a cappuccino and the barista was putting the finishing touches on the drink as I was walking in, although she was out of vanilla powder, then spied some on the counter near the door. The missing powder wasn't a big deal to me, either way, but I appreciated the barista's sincere honesty and initiative. Perhaps after my 6/26 visit some training and/or a little staff TLC occurred? Still, I'm hesitant to order here given the recent hassles I've encountered and I usually try to take only a quick, 30-minute lunch. I'll probably not give this location another try until the awesome fall season lattes arrive. This Starbucks has to be the slowest in Kentucky. Getting into the drive thru is difficult enough but then you wait in line, inside or outside, forever. They are slow as molasses! Everyone is nice enough however try stepping up your game to get people through the line faster. There were only three cars in line the other day and it took me 20 minutes. Wow unorganized and unfriendly to say the least. The drive thru was wrapped around the building so I went in. No one greeted me. I was 1 of 4 people inside. There was 1 person in front of me. We waited forever to be helped. Not one person said hi or one moment or anything. Then I ordered a Blueberry Black Tea which they didn't have of course. So I got a simple iced green tea which takes 2 seconds to make. I waited FOREVER for my drink as I watched them make several complicated drinks before mine. Not one person said sorry about your wait or anything. They acted like I was invisible. Then the rude girl with the blonde and pink hair threw my drink together. I was standing literally right in front of her the whole time. Instead of handing me my drink which it was clearly mine, she walked past me and set it on the counter and mumbled the order. How freaking rude. I've never had such terrible service. If you hate your job then quit!!! They didn't treat anyone else that way. So why me? I witnessed a very distasteful, inappropriate, and disturbing situation here on 11/6/2018. There was an employee who was an Indian woman (I'm assuming, excuse me if im incorrect about her nationality) being treated disturbingly bad by another woman employee. Not only was she unprofessional in doing this in front of multiple people, but If i was the woman being mistreated, I would sue the crap out of Starbucks to allow this kind of behavior. She was belittled, mistreated, not respected, and was clearly mistreated due to her nationality. I will never go to any Starbucks ever again knowing this type of mistreatment of minorities is going on. It's not the first time I've witnessed mistreatment of minorities in Starbucks, but this was over the top. Icing on the cake. I love this Starbucks location. It is in my neighborhood and super convenient. The drive thru makes it so easy to just head out in my PJ pants and no make-up to grab my skinny Mocha. Having this Starbucks addiction, sucks, LOL. I find myself checking their website to make sure a new flavor hasn't came out yet. My Cinnamon Chai Frappe with extra whip(I always have to get that extra whip)is my common flavor. This time I had to try their new iced Macchiato. What could be better than whipcream, well the yummy milk foam cloud on top of the Macchiato. The Macchiato comes in caramel or cinnamon. I can't never decide, so I always choose caramel and ask them to add a little cinnamon, perfection. I can't wait till their s'mores or cream brûlée flavors are back. Those are some of my favorites too. I have managed to find out the best and bad times to visit this location. Around the AMs of 7:30 and the NOONs of 12, it's bad times. They have long lines and they rush making your drink. So you end up waiting for a long time in line, and pay for a pricey drink that doesn't taste to great. I found around 10am and 4:30pm is the best time to beat the traffic and the drinks taste great. I actually had stopped going to this location for a while because one rude employee. Now that I've returned I'm happy I haven't seen that person, and everyone seems back to their cheerfulness. read more

I have been visiting this Starbucks pretty regularly since working near it 5-6 years ago. I am not a Huge coffee drinker, but I have found solace in their teas, and refreshers, and their seasonal drinks hit the spot on a cold day. I am never super impressed with their customer service when I go in the store. I feel like I end up waiting too long when I was trying to avoid the wait at the drive-thru. If I got out of my car, I shouldn't be made to wait longer, right? Maybe not, apparently not. Their drive-thru stays busy in the morning time... at least between the 7-8 am time period. Most of the time the line goes quickly and there isn't much waiting.They have on more than one occasion messed up my drink order. I a lactose intolerant and ask for my drinks to be made with soy milk and at least twice they have made it with regular milk or some sort... which is fine, I wont die, but its still irritating because then my tummy hurts later. Overall, its super convenient to have Starbucks close to my work, and lots of my co-workers survive on Starbucks. If I had to choose on a regular basis? I've been using my own personal mug now for 6 months. It's in between a grande and venti. I used to explain that, but all the baristas always told me not to worry, just order a grande and they'd fill it (I only order black coffee). Not here. This Starbucks has become my go-to Starbucks in recent months due to convenience of location, and it's been pretty consistent in quality so far. I haven't had a drink made incorrectly yet or a super long wait time. I mostly go through the drive-thru, and everyone I have encountered working the window during my visits has been friendly and efficient. I mostly get their iced coffees, flat whites, iced teas, and the occasional coffee frappuccino (no whip), and so far, so good! The only unfortunate thing about this Starbucks is that the parking lot is pretty small, and it can be tricky to get in and out of, especially during the morning and evening rush hours! I came into this Starbucks as a quick stop in between patients during my work day. While pulling into the parking lot, barista by the name of Mckenzie (orange/red hair with bangs) swung into the parking lot at the same time as me within a foot of hitting my car. I am on the right side of the parking lot (as we are all taught to drive on the right side of the road), and she squeezed onto the right side of me. Keep in mind, I'm on the right side so there's not much room. She was close enough that she had to stop beside me before parking in the LAST spot. You'd think that'd be for customers but I guess not. I contemplated saying something to her since she blatantly ignored me during the incident. I waited and then I eventually did say, hi I'm the one you almost nicked in the lot - please try to be more careful! You were very close to hitting me. She got very defensive, said she was on the job and couldn't talk to me. Said if I wanted to talk to her manager that I could and I really just wanted her to acknowledge my panic during the situation. The manager came in and she told her this situation quickly to cover her butt - the manager then (without knowing hardly anything about the situation) got on ME about this. She said the girls house burnt down 2 weeks ago and she's going through a lot. The manager was aggressive and seemed to not have a lot of time for me other than she def was going to support her barista. This is great to see the support but as far as customer service goes, I was pretty taken aback. I wish I could've done more to feel safe in these situations but it didn't seem like that was going to happen. Typical Starbucks... Overpriced coffee. But I have to have my white moca from time to time. My biggest knock was the drive thru. I drive an SUV and the road is narrow. Then add a dumpster next to it, I had to pay extra attention on my driving. Move the dumpster!!!! The service was fast. There was at least four cars in front of me and my order was done in under four minutes. The woman who took my ordered sounded bubbly and friendly. Came in yesterday to pick up a Venti Java (first time trying- I now know what I've been missing ‍‍) order was ready. I want to give a special shout-out to the Starbucks employees for being welcoming with greetings and to store manager Vanessa. She was busy with work and I overheard when she complimented SB's baristas for doing a good job. A smile or a greeting even if short and simple can change the dynamic of a moment, even a day. Also, SM Vanessa was very approachable when I mentioned a gratitude heart ( à la Uber) or emoji could be shown to employees when they have been tipped through app or given a compliment. This Starbucks gets pretty busy, however, before any biases are called out I've ordered here x3 past two weeks, drinks have been ready. Have noticed the new set up to assist with the drive-thru line, incoming traffic and vehicles existing (attempting- been there as well). It shows that recommendations or areas for improvement are not only "heard" but also implemented. Thank you very much! Vanessa and Baristas, keep up the good work!
