Walked in to ask for a cup of water and the waiter was very clear that "water is for paying customers". I don't really do reviews unless the experience was great or terrible. But for a company that prides itself on going out of it's way to support and encourage the progress of human rights it is WILD and pretty immoral that they would turn someone away who just wanted water in a hot day. "It's policy". Was the response, my answer was that in a human level, if what we are talking about is basic humanity... when someone needs some water, that shouldn't be an issue. I mean hell... charge me for the cup? But don't try to make me spend money when all I need to do is hydrate. I have lost all respect for the company, and the guy who denied the water should be fired. I decided to try their mobile ordering when leaving a Dr. Appt. This location was the closest and took almost no time to get there. Upon arriving I managed to get the only parking space available other than handicap. I go in and sure enough my order is ready and sitting at the counter where the mobile order sign is. I had ordered a Vanilla Bean Frappe and it tasted fresh and cold as if it were just made. The reason for my 3 star review is of course the small parking lot. If they are busy you will be lucky to get the last spot like I did. And another reason as I walk in and getting my drink, not a soul acknowledges my existence. Not a single hello or hi how are you, not even a have a nice day as I left. The bathroom there was also kinda messy and this location doesn't have a code to get in the restrooms. I ordered on the app for in-store pick up and when I got there the doors were locked. There were five of us standing outside waiting for our orders. The workers ignored us and one of us called they were rude on the phone. We all had to wait in the drive thru to pick up our orders making me late for work. Sadly unprofessional, understaffed, make frequent errors. Two days ago we had to wait for the cashier to hang up his phone. We were the only customers in the store. Usually errors are minor and easily fixed. Today both of our frapps were wrong. They aren't difficult by Starbucks standard. The tall caramel frappe with an extra shot, no whip. Came out macchiato. Then came out with mocha. Then finally appeared correct, but was without extra shot and no drizzle. My hubby decided to just take it, out of frustration. I don't think it was charged right either. Very awkward location to access, in the middle of a triangle of 3 streets. Every time I went to this area, I wanted to stop by a Starbucks, then I thought about which street I need to be on to precisely turn on and access this store. Also the parking lot is very small, making it difficult or park. Drive-through area is also tricky as you don't get much maneuvering space. All the trouble. As of today, Friday August 9th, at app. 1:30 pm, I will no longer go to any Starbucks. I went thru the drive-in at Taylorsville Rd. In Hikes Point and got a venti cocoa cloud. The cost was $5.78 and I said put the change in the tip cup. The lady said "Every little bit helps"! I couldn't believe she said that. I get a breakfast sandwich and coffee about 3-4 days and leave a dollar plus the change as a tip but I guess it doesn't matter. This store is woefully understaffed! The staff are friendly and try hard, but during rushes, both drive through and walk-in it is apparent that there are never enough staff to accommodate the traffic. I mean why have two cash registers if you only use one? And in most cases the person at the one cash register has to operate the oven for both drive through and walk-in customers food orders. This Starbucks kills me. If it wasn't so close to my work I'd never go. It doesn't matter the time of day, there's always a long line in the drive-thru and parking is hard to get. When I go in, I'm ignored before ordering on a regular basis. If I go through the drive-thru I usually have a 15-20 minute wait. There's typically about 5-8 people behind the counter, with only one taking orders and one making drinks and the rest are usually just chatting or not doing anything even if the two working are running around like crazy. It's just frustrating to wait so long for an iced coffee when there are people available to make it. read more
