They had a wonderful selection of goodies. We ended up choosing the tiramisu cookies, chocolate chip cookies, olive oil cakes w blackberry thyme jam, cinnamon rolls, and mozzarella, tomato, basil focaccia. To start the tiramisu cookies had wonderful coffee flavor, and the fresh, creamy frosting paired nicely. The chocolate chip cookies were soft, chewy, and had chocolate woven throughout. One of the best I've had! The olive cakes were good, well backed and had a delicate flavor. However, we weren't the biggest fans of the thyme flavor, but that's just our preference. The focaccia was deliciously savory, the toppings paired well with the bread without overtaking its flavor. Lastly, the showstopper, was the cinnamon roll. It was next level good, and I dare say the best I've ever had. The roll itself was soft, buttery, and full of cinnamon spice. The frosting was perfect, creamy with a delicate cream cheese flavor. I know I'm going to be craving it in the future. On top of the delicious baked goods, the interior was clean and had welcoming vibe. The employees were kind and helpful. The price for everything was $58, which makes sense with how expensive groceries are nowadays. And you're supporting a small, locally owned business. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!

Still, this place made the trip worthwhile and I enjoyed a nice hot chocolate (and complimentary Halloween-themed shortbread cookie!). The barista was pleasant and answered our questions about the environs. We only checked out the bookstore section briefly though it did have an excellent selection, and even had a typewriter set up for aspiring typists to play around with. As a typewriter owner, it's always cool to see opportunities for the next generation to get a chance to work with these machines (if only so they can appreciate how much easier word processors are when it comes to editing!) I would gladly come back here again, and hopefully take more time to check out the books as well. Overall: 4.5/5 stars ---- Pros: - Great drinks. - Pleasant staff. - Quiet place to do work or look for a new book to dive into. - Easy street parking nearby. Cons: - Most tables are two tops, so if your group is three or more, you may have to improvise your seating arrangement.

Both times, I received what can only be described as a cup of sugar and milk with a whisper of coffee flavor. After the first visit, I accepted my loss, threw it away, and went on with my day. Unfortunately, I apparently had not learned my lesson, because the second visit was just as disappointing. Then came the 15-minute wait. While standing there, I had the pleasure of listening to employees outside have an extremely graphic conversation about their MRSA butt boils, leaking green pus, and how nasty and gross they were. Yes, you read that correctly. And yes, the same employee involved in that conversation was the one who handed me my drink. I'm not sure what was more disgusting--the conversation, the lack of coffee in my coffee, or the fact that I paid for the experience twice. I'm all for employees being comfortable at work, but there is a time and place for everything. A drive-thru is not the place to discuss graphic medical issues, especially while customers are waiting on their drinks. Two visits. Two terrible drinks. One wildly inappropriate conversation. 10 out of 10 would not recommend. I came for coffee and left with two cups of sugar milk and an experience I'm still trying to forget.

Nothing fancy about this place, just very friendly and I felt at home and comfortable. The menu is hand written on a white board, but it's easy to read. I had a hard decision to make, everything sounded delicious. But, when I asked about the C3 sandwich, I was sold when I was told that the sauce is their signature sauce. I was given a choice to have homemade bread, which I could not turn down. I can tell that this sandwich was made by someone who's proud, and made with love. This was the best darn sandwich I have had in such a long time. The sandwich was toasted, the pepper jack cheese was melted and the signature sauce was just so good on all the warm insides. This was definitely a mouth watering delicious sandwich. It had just the right amount of ham, turkey, red onions. I'd drenched it with all the sauce that I had in a little container. The sandwich is so much better than anything you'll ever get at any fast food sandwich shop. The owner was absolutely friendly, he told me his name but I'm going to call him D cuz I can't remember it. He offered me a sample of their peach bread without any sweet icing on top, and boy it was so good. There were lots of delicious baked goods and I'll be coming back for dessert. I will be coming back here. By the way it's right across the street from the Cabell library.
