So, you might be wondering why this random Starbucks here gets four whole stars. I mean, I don't even like Starbucks coffee. Well, let me tell you... I really love the 'You Are Here' mug collection. I love the designs. I love collecting them. I love thinking about my trip whenever I drink coffee from my mug. And trust me, I don't like random crap. I'm in the process of Marie Kondo-ing my entire house. All this stuff has got to go! Everything except my beloved Starbucks mug collection. So...I see this Starbucks and yell across the car to my husband who has now driven almost 1000 miles over a day and a half..."STARBUCKS! IN THE SAFEWAY!". And, I'm sure at this point, he's questioning things...like...the marriage. But, anyways, we park and walk in, in search of the New Mexico mug. And, let me tell you, not only do they have the New Mexico mug...they had Arizona and Colorado too! They didn't have the Utah one, which was too bad. Would have been five stars for sure if that Utah one had been there. But man, what a find. read more

I went to the Starbucks below at 7:20 to order several sandwiches and egg bites and they said they turned off their ovens because they are closing soon. I said you close at 9:00 and it's only 7:20. The rep said that it takes a while for the oven to cool off to clean. Since when do you stop serving sandwiches early before close. What's the point of being opened?? Frustrated! The ONLY Starbucks in Gallup and the line showed it. Needed a quick caffeine boost to keep me awake on the road so I stopped here. After 20 minutes in line and still about 10 people back I decided to walk across the street and get a drink from the gas station. This location is so busy because it's the only one. Nothing special about it. Starbucks is leaving money on the table by only having one location. read more

Me and my girl stopped by through here even though most yelp reviews made this place sound intolerable, and I'm happy to say that the customer service was good, and so were our drinks. Also we must've gotten lucky because there was only 1 person in line ahead of us when we arrived. So I guess this place may just be a bit of a hit or miss. Won't complain. Got a bunch of goodies at the Safeway grocery store where the Starbucks resides. Happy travels folks! read more

I didn't go in the beginning, but after a month I went. They have been excellent; the store comes with the great customer service you would expect from Starbucks chains. Their coffee is great-I typically get an Americano! I did have an issue where they added whipped cream to my coconut mocha...they fixed it for me with a smile! I will visit them again, and won't wait a month to do so. Baylee was particularly amazing, she addressed a question I had, her attitude was great, and she followed up with a correction when she asked her manager for confirmation! read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been in... they are in no hurry at all. The drinks were mixed inconsistent with the chains norms... we watched baristas mix drinks and dump them out after it was made wrong.. the store was dirty. I'll save my Starbucks crave for another area. read more

Decided to visit the New Starbuck in the local town. Was SEVERELY disappointed. Since we all know Starnucks releases custom secret menu drinks. I went in wanting The Sally secret menu drink. When I gave my drink order. The cashier didnt know how to ring up the custom drink. And asked another barista for help when he gave us sass for ordering a customer drink and tried to belittle our order by saying a license store and corporate store are different. But as a STARBUCKS SECRET MENU drink it is made with supplies at all known Starbucks locations. When we got our order it was poorly made not what we ordered was layered, not properly blended there was still large ice chunks in one of the drinks, they didnt seem to add the strawberry inclusions that we were charged for, they were just sad compared to our other drinks. Definitely didnt like that the barista was rude the drinks looked sad and unattractive. Definitely not worth the $20 I paid. The picks attached the colorful on is from my local grocery store and this the plain sad looking on is from this location. Definitely not pleased, I dont recommend this store to anyone. read more

I went to Safeway to buy groceries and there was a line for the coffee at the 20 x 20 space they set up::)))))) for Starbucks. The line was blocking the way for my cart to get out of the store. No one would move people without their caffiene fix can be quite rude so I had to bump one of the people could you please move???? They did but I had to bump them with my cart I would never attempt to wait in line for a cup of coffee. I did buy one of the latte's at Walmart lol and it tasted horrible. My ancestors died in the service to this country Mr.Schultz you should be named as a traitor in chief. read more

The absolute worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I know it's new- but every single time I've gone, I've wasted my money. If you can hold your coffee craving until the next town- save your coin. Even if you complain and ask for a new drink, they will argue with you and try to convince you that you don't know how your favorite drink is supposed to taste. read more

I have never had a bad cup of coffee at any Starbucks... until I stopped at this one while driving through Gallup. It was so bad I poured it out in the parking lot and drove the rest of the trip without my regular coffee buzz. The coffee tasted like it was burned or maybe just stale, but it was worse than gas station coffee. Yuck! I hope Starbucks corporate gets the message and sends in an elite team of trainers to fix this location. Disaster! Zero stars! read more

My husband and I were on a road trip and yelped Starbucks to find one nearby that we could pull off to. I saw that it had an overall 2 star review and mentioned to my husband that I can't imagine Starbucks could get such a low review. It was located inside a Safeway grocery store. We ordered 2 food items and a tall coffee along with some almonds for the road. After we ordered we moved out of the line and over to the "pick up" area. While waiting I noticed a sign that posted a free grande coffee with the purchase of a breakfast item. I mentioned it to the barista and she asked me what size coffee we purchased. I told her a tall and she said this only applies to the grande size. I told her that if I knew we would have got the larger size and not paid for it since it would have been free anyway. I asked her if we could change it. She told me that if I wanted to get back into the long line we could redo the transaction. For one thing no I don't want to get back in to the line and it would have been nice if either the flyer was posted near the order line and not the pick up line so you can see it when you order it or the barista could have mentioned it when she placed my order knowing the promotion they had going on at the time. Doesn't merit a bad review, it's a Starbucks in Gallup. If there was a Lotaburger in my hometown back east, I likewise would not expect it to be the same as most other Lotaburgers. I grab Starbucks several times a week! While driving through Gallup, I noticed there was a Starbucks so I decided to stop in for a quick pick me up and to stretch my legs. I ordered my usual, green tea sweetened. I was so excited to start sipping on my favorite drink but to my surprise, it was awful. Tasted like I just spent money on a drink that was so watered down, I couldn't hardly taste the flavor of tea. So disappointed, wouldn't advise anyone to stop and waste their money like I did. Grab something from the gas station until you can make it Albuquerque or Flagstaff (depending on the traveling direction). What a let down! read more

Pumpkin spice latte yes! So very very delicious but this place is very busy but being the only starbucks in town I bet. Hearing people from the line saying they should hurry up but there only 3 or 2 at times. The barista are doing there best to get coffee out and going! Barista against the whole town it seems.. they need more starbucks store or there own store to serve so many people. This Starbucks must be run by a former Lays Potato Chip employee. Went here last evening for a pick-me-up and stretch break on a day-long road trip. They managed to make you feel like an inconvenience when ordering, but whatever. It's Gallup. When we got the drinks, my wife's chai latte was fine; but my white mocha breve did not work out so well. After sucking the foam off the top because there did not seem to be much actual drink in the cup, I saw the cup was a little over half full of actual coffee, so I went back to see if they could fill it up the rest of the way. She said they would do that for me. I watched as she put in another pump of white chocolate syrup, a little more half-and-half, and then re-steamed it. She gave it back and it felt about the same. I sucked the new, thicker foam off and saw the cup was now fully two-thirds full of coffee. I was not going to go back a to the counter for a third time because they somehow had a long line. Perhaps I'm just being ridiculous, but I somehow expect to get a full cup when I pay $4.50 for a drink. Will not be ordering anything but a drip brew from here if I ever come back. read more
