Tells me that who ever does the menu out real thought into it, and didn't just go with the typical cheaper syrups that are easy to find. They didn't even just go with one really good brand (Holy Kakow) and leave it at that. They brought in others where appropriate (Torani peppermint is great, as is monin simple syrup). Coffee and service alone would be a 5/5. Beyond that, the beauty of the space is remarkable. Visually and its purpose. The coffee shop is on the first floor of a beautiful complex that was built with purpose and intention. A food pantry, kitchen, housing for at risk youth, and a host of social services. The entire space is inspiring. It's clear that great thought went into not just the services offered for the community, but the visual design of the space. The space is designed to be welcoming and treat every human as a human.

The inside is really nice and aesthetically decorated, with a faith based atmosphere throughout. Even the cups have really interesting artwork! It was very busy and pretty loud inside, with the line almost out the door, but it moved quickly. I ordered the Hallelujah, which is white chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon. First sip... OMG. So good!! Now I understand why the line was out the door! They also have plenty of options besides coffee, including tea, matcha, lemonade and other drinks, plus food items like breakfast burritos and toast. They sell their own coffee beans and a nice selection of Kuppa Joy merch too. Overall, great coffee and a lively atmosphere. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Fresno!

It was the afternoon, so I balked my normal coffee order and went with the sour patch energy soda. This is a watermelon and sour candy mixed drink with Blue Lotus energy base. It was sweet, but I kind of loved it. I ordered a bacon grilled cheese with a dragon spicy sauce and it complemented the sweet drink perfectly! The owner, Hamzeh, was standing by ready to chat about his coffee, the business, and how he got started. I walked away with a bag of their Guatemalan, Rwandan and Hilwa coffees. Seeing as Hilwa coffee is a variety from the Armenia/Turkey region, which is my families heritage, I got home and immediately made a cup of it. The flavor of this coffee was spectacular, but what really set it apart is the ground toasted cardamom in it. I've had coffee with cardamom before and always thought it was just ok, but the owner said the real trick is to make sure its toasted before its included in the grinds. He was 100% right, it was an outstanding cup of coffee, I think I may have found a new favorite. Will definitely be buying more from Q29!
