On my recent trip to Fernley, we stopped at Starbucks. We were shocked walking in the door at how many employees there were. Walked up to the counter, waited to be served for a while. The inside of the store was pretty empty, as far as people go. As we were looking around we see items on a tray individually wrapped and thawing out, notice wrappers all over the floors, trash is dirty, the self serve area for sugar and cream was dirty, the tables were dirty, the store was just dirty. Our order was simple, with customizations, still simple. Venti vanilla latte extra hot, add toasted coconut syrup. Chai tea, extra hot no classic add toasted coconut syrup. The order came, decently quick and was wrong. The drink was barely warm and was missing toasted coconut syrup and was made with coconut milk. Simple fix. We stepped outside and enjoyed the outdoor seating. A few moments later, my son appeared out of nowhere and walked up on us. We forgot he had our location and joined us. He asked us what we thought of this Starbucks and asked for an honest opinion. I stated what I stated above. I interrupted and asked him if he wanted a cup of coffee before heading back to work. "Mom I don't have it in me to wait 30-45 minutes to get my drink and it'll be wrong anyways, where I'm going there's a Starbucks there, I'll grab my drink, thank you though," was his reply. Fell inline with what we were thinking for our mid day cup. We carried on an entire conversation about how this is the MOST STAFFED and THE DIRTIEST SB we had all ever seen! It was shocking. Drink was fixed, we carried on with our day, but decided to skip coffee there the next morning and drove to Reno to get our coffee instead since we were heading that way. Will I return: NO.. glad my son moved into Reno! Have had great customer service all over Fernley, with one other exception.. so happy he has a few SB's that are staffed, very clean, and get the orders correct where he moved. read more

Just an update for 2025. As of a week ago, they no longer open at 4:30, but rather 5:30 AM now. It feels like the store is lacking help, but that fits the theme anywhere now. Still appreciate the team that shows up and does their best. It's very hectic in the mornings now since we show up right at 5:30 to grab our daily dose and head off to work. read more

Came through the drive through Tuesday evening to pick up a cup of coffee for my birthday and I was met at the speaker with a very disrespectful attitude her name was Aly I believe, I waited in line for quite sometime and I didn't hear her when she supposedly asked me to give her a second so I continued with my order and received attitude and yelling in return and was treated as if I was arguing with her about the fact the wait was so long. I get up to the window and that Aly girl was extremely rude and handed me what seemed like a card reader and I told her I was paying with the app since I wanted to use my birthday reward she rolled her eyes and scanned my app and slammed the window in my face then a young lady with a blond pony tail handed me my drink and was incredibly sweet and apologized for the wait and wished me happy birthday the only reason I'm even considering of going back is to see the young lady with the pony tail the way that Aly treats customers is disgusting, if I ever see her there again I'd skip Starbucks Starbucks do better. read more

They have the worst Starbucks baristas I've ever seen. Typically the swing shift staff, they make lots of mistakes, look so inconvenienced if they mess up. They don't apologize, they just stand there with a bad attitude to see if we are going to ask them to remake it. They've ignored me while I'm talking to them as if they are trying not to get into a fight or something. They've ignored don't apologize or thank us when we tell them it's fine. Lazy. Grumpy. I don't even like telling them when they make mistakes anymore. read more

Went through drive thru so my dog could get a pup cup and we get our morning pick me up. Grabbed a pumpkin spice frap tie the season, cheese and protein bistro box my fave on the go snack, and a hot non fat white chocolate mocha along with jaspers pup cup. Everything was great and smooth except I didn't get a straw for my frap. Luckily I always carry my reusable one with me. Service was on the slower side then normal but they were busy. read more

It's my favorite time of the year! On our way to attend a wedding, but we need to do a pit stop at Starbucks. I ordered my favorite breakfast combo, which is pumpkin loaf and pumpkin spice latte. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store is typically clean and the orders are usually correct. However, there has been recent ongoing issue with timeliness of getting orders out. I've repeatedly seen delays of approximately 30 minutes to get orders to waiting customers. Additionally, on more than one occasion, I have place a mobile order that starts out with only a few minutes of wait time only to jump up to approximately 30 minutes after the order is submitted. Furthermore, the store had approximately four to five days of not opening until 9:30 am, which created backlogs early in the day. I am not sure if this is a staffing issue or if there are problems with the current employees. I hope that someone takes notice of this matter and gets things corrected. read more

I politely asked a lady named KAYA for help, but she reacted as if I was arguing with her. It's important for people to grasp the real essence of customer service. I went in to grab a coffee and asked Chloe, the barista, for some help. Instead of assisting, she gave me a very unpleasant, dirty look and told me to ask someone else. Customer service here sucks! Especially when Dena is working the cashier... She never greets me when I order not even just a hello and she'll tell me the total and then just walk away. The other older lady with glasses and short dirty blonde hair is very nice and will say "hi good morning" I wish she would work the cashier more often. I did a mobile order so I didn't have to wait in line when I showed up they had a sign on the door drive-through only and when I called and asked if I could just have them handed to me, they said no I have to go through the drive-through with 37 other cars in line. If you're not gonna open up the full restaurant, don't have mobile ordering on. Absolutely ridiculous that I had to wait for my pick up order for 40+ minutes. I hate to do this because the employees here have always been great every time I stop by. This updated review has nothing to do with them. Instead, it's the company and/or management of this location who can't seem to figure out what time they want to close. If there's one thing that'll kill any restaurant, coffee shop, etc for me, it's inconsistency. Whether that be the service, food quality, whatever. Here, it's the hours. I understand covid has been messing with businesses pretty badly, but I can only be so patient. This location has gone from closing at 10pm, to closing at 8pm, then 7pm, to apparently now noon. And, instead of opening at 430am, they're opening later. All without any kind of notice or updating in search engines and the app. Every other week I pull up to find it closed when everything said it's open. I was at this store on 6/1 at 11:30am, waited in the drive thru line for 15 minutes I start to tell the guy what I want and he says "sorry we are closed, we don't have a manager to supervise us." I told him I had been waiting for 15 minutes and there were 6 or 7 cars behind me. A girl then says "we are exhausted and are closing " I asked if they were going to tell the other customers in line and she said "when they get to the box". Manager needs to learn how to make a schedule so the staff are not put in this kind of situation. read more

So this morning I arrived and ordered something different for a change hoping it wouldn't be all cream. The floors are filthy, hasn't looked like behind the counter has been cleaned since forever. While waiting for my drink I noticed there were more flies than customers and staff. As I picked up my drink flies were swarming around the pick up counter. Staff was just working away and oblivious to the obvious flies. Probably won't be back. The trash cans were already full on the inside and it was only 10 am. Be careful and double check your drink.They expect a tip even though they mess your drink up on purpose Specifically the drive thru. I have been in the service industry for years. Never did I expect a tip until I served the order was nice and did the best service. Coffee and drinks are expensive so when deciding to spend money you would like your drink done right not messed up or shorted because of perceived slight on their part. The reason for the low stars (in addition to the lack of cleanliness) -- unfortunately for vegans, this location does not carry the vegan bagels and avocado spread. I drove a LOT of miles on my road trip across the state just waiting to get here so I could get a bagel and coffee to wake me up, and the fact they were unable to deliver was disappointing. But, to at least have a Starbucks along a stretch of highway where there's really not much for hundreds of miles is something, so -- two stars. read more

Who is the district manager for this location? Never have I been in a more abhorrently filthy Starbucks. The condition of this location is obviously a management issue. While I was dining, an employee came on to their shift and began to sweep up the debri behind the counter, but a supervisor stopped him. I've emailed Starbucks, but I expect nothing will be done. Just a word to the wise; grab something to eat/drink elsewhere. I'd be especially concerned about contamination and health conditions behind the scenes. This is how people get sick read more

I usually don't have problems with this Starbucks, but at 6:30pm on a Thursday (January 13. 2022) they were closed despite the website saying they were open. It's a 25 min drive round trip from my home. It's just more than annoying. read more
