Lots of sweet temptations in New York City. But when I find a special shop, I love to spread the word. This tiny corner of sweetness needs to be on the radar of anyone who likes great baked goods. We get almond croissants and hot cocoa here but their cupcakes and layer cakes are, as they say in the City, to die for... Go, have a cocoa or coffee, follow with a bakery temptation. Thank me later. read more

We made a quick stop here to get some drinks. The store was large, with some spots to sit and dine at the store. There was a merchandise section across the pick up area. They had all the drinks and bakery items were available as well. The barista helped us to put in our order for 3 drinks. They were prepared in a short time. We waiter less than 5 minutes. Even though all things went well, my family members said the drinks were not properly made. They tasted bad. So that was a bummer. read more

Friendly staff. Inside is clean and spacious. Painting on the wall is vibrant and colorful. They have most of the merchandise, bakery and drink menu. Me and my mom ordered ice coffee and unsweetened ice tea. We both agreed it doesn't taste right. Literally no tea flavor. I feel like they water down my tea. Coffee doesn't taste the same like other locations. I wouldn't come back to this location. read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denville, New Jersey

Starbucks is the best place ever! Every-time I go there my order is perfect. I always get a caramel drink or pink drink and they always turn out amazing. And the service doesn't take a long time. I'm always satisfied! 5 stars! Would come any day! read more

This review is not from the in-store order, but through Doordash. The incompetence of the people that work at this location is mind boggling. I ordered a coffee and butter croissant. I was sent with a bag of popcorn. They even printed a receipt and they still stamped it on the bag of popcorn (see photo). So, I called the store location (time: 2:36 pm - 10/22/23) that's listed in my Doordash. I spoke to the "Supervisor Shift" and she said, "we don't do Doordash." I literally called them from the doordash information of the store I ordered from. She denied it! Photo attached from my Doordash order. Does she know that you can look up information from Doordash in case there's a problem with orders? I have the feeling she's the one that messed up the order. How do you even deny this? I come to Yelp, and sure enough, only 3 stars review. Case closed! Incompetent people working at this location with no regards to your order. read more

Geez is this location ever open ? I was meeting my daughter near there yesterday at 3pm and I got there a few minutes early to get a nice cold drink and a cake pop for my grandson and low and behold they were closed again. While waiting for them to arrive I counted 15 people who came and tried to open the door plus myself. in a matter of 12 minutes. As a long time shareholder and customer I don't understand how at 3 pm on a tuesday they are closed, this is a regular occurence, even on friday nights. pm on a weekday is a horrible time to close, they do alot of the High school student business then. The employees are usually pretty good there except for the few with an attitude. Thank goodness for smart world coffee down the street, I wish they were still acrross the street. read more

Absolutely filthy place. The bathrooms actually have clearly not been cleaned in weeks. I went in one and it was so gross I went in the other and it was the same. There are nasty stains on the walls and floors everywhere that honestly were here the last time I stopped in here. Last time I assumed it was stuff from being busy that day, clearly not. very gross. If you can't clean the bathrooms and main area how clean are the things you use to make coffee and other foods and drinks! read more

Have visited here before but no more. Disinterested staff and no action on a simple order until I finally said something, twice. Back to Starbucks down the street! And i even left a tip! read more

Hello to all who read this. This business makes the drinks very well, the ice is to die for. But, there is a certain person (I'm not sure what their pronouns are and I will not name drop) who made my group not feel welcome. Peter is very nice and is a very good worker he deserves a raise. Otherwise, this place is very nice and clean and has a great atmosphere. read more

Just wanted to update my review from a couple years ago. This place seems pretty on top of customer service, the cashiers and baristas all seem to enjoy being there, it's clean, and they make a good latte. After five or six returns I can definitely say they have turned it around! Old review... I've noticed recently that when I walk into a Starbuck's that they seem to be more packed than usual...then I read how they are cutting back on personnel AND pushing the App which allows you to order and pay before walking in the door. When I was here at this location the other day I saw, in-person, how this change impacts the customers. This is actually a fairly convenient location for me and they DO always have pretty consistent coffee. Unfortunately, with one cashier and two baristas, they were overwhelmed with the people who were ordering through the app. My service was pleasant, but because they are clearly understaffed we were in there for almost 20 minutes between waiting in line and waiting for a cup of tea and a caramel latte. Way too long a wait...again, NOT the employees fault as they were working as fast as they could...They needed at least one more person working...Hope they fix this as the coffee shop across the street is going to start killing them if they don't straighten things out. read more

Stopping by on a road trip; ordered a tall iced mocha and bought a Berry Trio yoghurt granola cup. The granola in the Berry Trio was mostly wet with some unidentified liquid; I brought it back to the counter in a pause between other customers and I was told that "honestly, this just happens sometimes in packaging". News to me and I've been eating these for years. Also really really really not my issue if your packaging process occasionally ruins the Berry Trio. When this happens, you need to refund the price. No refund offered, and after a few moments it was obvious none was going to be forthcoming. (Salesperson checked with someone that looks like a manager, I received a hard stare from the manager, and the sales person went back to other work. Shoddy, sloppy, and you took my money without giving me a product or a refund. Thumbs down. Also, the mocha is more like a sweet latte. Avoid this Starbucks. read more

Here at 6:30 am. Greetings were for select customers. Seems just the ones in business attire. Dirty bathrooms and no rush to clean them. Food was prepared sloppy. I wish more places realized being friendly will not only create repeat business, but it will lead to tips. read more

Starbucks - Got these for summer! I love the colors! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denville, New Jersey

There's no real distinction amongst cookie cutter corporate caffeine filling stations but everyone once in a while the smiley, obsequious, cheery barista mask slips. A beautiful day in this beautiful world I sauntered into this Starbucks to get a trycluceiide jam packed nasty frappachino and life was fine. Then I get the hand crafted masterpiece from one of the smiling wage slaves who floats away blissfully leaving another larger, bulkier tough barista with that Sideshow Bob plume of jaundiced coral atop his Noggin. Now to be fair the straws were waaaay over by Him and I was a bit rude. I kind of shouted "could I have a straw please?" He looked at the straws and pointed. Turned his back on me. No most Karen's (what's the male version?) would get angry because they are ENTITLED! Lol he is a lowly BARISTA? But me? Nah. I saw a flash of rebellion in this modern day soft plantation and I laughed. I laughed the laugh of an older rebel with nearly all the rebellion knocked out of him - but not all! And Cranky McSurly would agree with me - the REAL coffee is down at the street at Smart Coffee on Main Street! read more

Driving through Denville, I saw the familiar window decals from the corner of my eye. One cartoon double-take and what may have been a legally-questionable lane change later, I entered my caffeinated haven. I didn't have time to check the reviews until after I ordered, and by the time I got my drink, I realized they were spot-on. It was fairly empty when I got here, but it still took considerably longer than usual to get my latte. The staff didn't appear to be slacking or lazy; they were just a little slower than I'm used to. My drink is perfect, and isn't that what really matters? Weird observation: the parfait/sandwich refrigerated shelves are empty; instead, there's a sign that says to ask for items. Maybe it's broken? I got here right before a mad rush of people arrived, so I claimed a great loungey sofa by the front window. There's ample seating in here, & I'd probably stop in again if I ever find myself driving through Denville again. read more

Starbucks - Strange lack of products on display ... hopefully temporary? - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denville, New Jersey

Very sad because usually a simple unsweetened iced drink is processed quickly. Stopped in to get a gift card and iced green tea. No one in line in front of me but I waited 10 minutes, in clear sight of the baristas. Looks like there were 10 mobile orders processed before mine. And then someone in line after me got her iced coffee before I got mine, so I finally had to ask about my order. Poor processing system. Not the Starbucks experience I am used to. read more

This is a poorly run Starbucks with badly trained employees. The manager is a mess and has even gotten my order wrong. Ordered a green tea latte and he gave me Earl Grey. Have waited in front of person taking orders with no taking of order for at least 5 minutes. Last straw was ordering egg sandwich and order not put through and it was hardly busy! I have gone to this location due to it being on the way to work. But never again! Incredibly slow and unfriendly service. read more

Stopped here on a road trip because we needed to both pee and caffeinate. I'm familiar with Starbucks for the most part. The girls here were super friendly and accommodating and on top of that my drink came Out WHILE I WAS STILL PAYING. I'm talking lightning speed here. Same for my my friend. His drink was ready within a minute. And just so you don't think I'm hyping up an easy drink, I got a grande iced caramel macchiato stirred and he got a grande caramel frapp. 5 stars! This Starbucks is always great! The employees are very friendly. I've never had a bad experience here. I am a frequent visitor, as I work down the road. So sometimes I was visiting twice a day! Today, I received exceptional service. As everything is done via mobile order now due to COVID-19; I placed a mobile order. Upon picking up the man working informed me they were out of the bagel I ordered and asked if I wanted a different type instead. Of course, that was fine with me. When he brought out my bagel he brought out a $4 voucher card. Great service always but especially today from the Denville crew! read more

Starbucks - a hand holding a starbucks coffee ticket - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denville, New Jersey

The service here is pretty good, but could be faster. Usually the order is accurate, I haven't had to send a drink back. It gets pretty packed in here during peak hours and on weekends. I've tried to do work here but it can be challenging because the majority of the seating is in the front of the store, by the doors. That makes it difficult to stay warm when it's cold out, I've even tried to work there wearing my jacket. Theres a little bit of seating in the back, but it's right next to the bathrooms. Not very many outlets here either. Also, the parking lot gets crowded quickly, which can be challenging as well. read more

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to and it's unfortunate it's the closest on my way to work. I find myself going out of the way just to avoid going there. Besides the staff being super unfriendly, they aren't trained properly or they just don't care. My friend has had issues with ordering oatmeal in that they don't give her everything that's supposed to be included, so I decided to give it a try and ordered the oatmeal. The good news is I got all of my toppings. The bad news is the oatmeal cup only had dry oats!!! No water was added and being I don't have hot water near my desk it made for a pretty disgusting breakfast. Avoid this Starbucks at all costs. read more

Starbucks - This pretty much sums up this Starbucks location. This is how they served me oatmeal. Avoid if you can - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Denville, New Jersey

I will give them 2 stars because the drinks don't always taste too bad. If you have a question about a drink, you're being treated like a pain in their butt. I decided to buy the new tea infusions for my daughter and kept asking if they can make it kids' temperature. Dan said yes and I saw him pour out of their hot water pot. When I got the drink, I asked again if it's kids' temperature and he said yes. Before handing it to my 4 year old, I decided to taste it and severely burned my mouth. It was sore and peeling for days. Also, their espresso ALWAYS tastes burned. I try to avoid this location but it's the only Starbucks around here. Even Panera Bread's espresso drinks taste better. I miss my old Starbucks.. P.s. yes, tea infusions only come hot but that's why I asked. "No" is an acceptable answer or I could have added some ice read more

I had such a great experience that I had to email the store manager. I customized my drink tremendously and it was made perfectly!

Service is fast and I go here about once a week but I am giving two stars because they will never make a pour over! They never have french roast in the pots and when I ask for one the staff looks at me like I have 6 heads and says they can't because there is no open bag? Wtf. Other starbucks will make pour overs no problem. You are a coffee shop! How can you not be able to make me a cup of coffee?? So frustrating. read more

Every time I've been by this Starbucks it felt like grand central station which can be expected of most starbucks at certain times of day, I suppose. The baristas work hard and my drink is always correct and the few times it wasn't it was corrected. I only have two points to make: There are two types of employees at this Starbucks. The slightly disgruntled impersonable ones who don't seem to know how to make eye contact and the ones that who seem to always maintain a more cheerful helpful attitude which I know is hard to maintain in any customer service position - but it is noticed. This is the only Starbucks that doles out straws like they are barbeque sauces at McDonalds. There are no straws at the coffee bar area. Are straws worth something now and I just didn't know? I googled it and nothing came up. Nothing! read more

SLOWEST. STARBUCKS. I'VE. EVER. BEEN. IN. ...and they have plenty of staff! I can't figure it out for the life of me. Maybe it's all the mobile orders? Drinks, I've never had any issue with mine. Seating, normally more than you'd expect for a small Starbucks. Line is long often. Trash needs emptying more often. I think most of the staff spends their time trying to keep up with drink orders instead of keeping the rest of the place in check.
