Ordered a venti matcha latte, extra shaken. I received about 3/4 of a venti matcha latte, I did not ask for light ice so the cup should have been filled all the way. Also, for an extra shaken matcha there should not be residual powder left sitting on the bottom of the cup. I came in to this location today at 10 AM to meet up with a potential new hire. I don't typically frequent Starbucks, not for any other reason than I don't usually drink coffee. The service in this location was unbelievable... It's also super clean and not packed to the gills "INSIDE" Their drive thru on the other hand is always ROCKING OUT! Typical of this location again... the girl told me she could only fill it up so much for no reason? I told her she could just fill it up with oak milk till the top but she said she can't. I've had that drink at the Kroger and Target location and never had this problem. I guess when you buy a $6 drink topping it off with a oz of oak milk is asking a lot. This location seems to be a huge problem all the time some days they are just randomly closed. Go to the other stores where you will get what you pay for. read more

First visit here so I have a lot more to learn about this location. Here at 0615 so it is pretty quiet inside the store as far as how many customers are here. People going through the drive thru so there is plenty of activity behind the counter. Folks here were quick to serve and friendly. Store is clean and neat, with the floors freshly mopped before opening. Only downside is that all the surfaces in the store are hard so sound carries; I expect that this place gets pretty loud in the busier times. read more

I usually order on my way into work and it's always been fine up until the last few visits. This was the last straw honestly, and guess I will be making my way to dunkin more. If I could rate this a zero, I would. I asked for caramel on top of my coffee, and they accidentally forgot. Fine no problem, but then as she is handing it to me out of the window, she asks for me to take the lid off so she can pour the syrup right there. Not only that, but it was the wrong one and had to do it twice and at this point, the syrup is dripping everywhere and making a huge mess. I went inside and explained the situation so I could possibly get a new one since there was caramel running down the sides, but the girl gave me attitude and didn't even want to help me. I have no clue why this location has so many negative reviews. It's one of my favorite Starbucks locations. Sure sometimes the lines get long and you might have a bit of a wait. But if you're going at peak times you should expect that...and if a few of the cars in front of you are getting drinks for the whole office, it's of course going to take time to make everything. So if you know you're going before work when the line is usually long, maybe plan ahead for that instead of blaming the store that you're late for work?? The baristas at this location are so friendly and always make conversation with me at the drive thru window if my coffee is still being finished. They tell me they hope I have a nice day with genuine sincerity. The coffee is always made well and tastes great. I truly don't think long lines should be the sole reason for a negative review since so often the line is not something the store can control! One of my least favorite Starbucks ever. Consistently SLOW SLOW, impressively SLOW service. I remember waiting in line the other day for over 10 minutes with only one person in front of me. I watched workers just walking around nonchalantly casually wondering where more sandwich bags were. Going to the drive thru? You'll be lucky to get thru in less than 15 min. This location is busy busy busy, I wanted to cut them some slack Bc I've worked at Starbucks (not enjoyable, let me tell you) but there is NO drive to exceed customer expectations here. They barely even meet it. Break time? You better believe they will drop that cup in their hand!! Damn timer goes off for them to do shift rotations/cycle cleaning? Cups will drop!!! Any excuse to stop working is taken. I've seen it happen multiple times. Granted there are a few diamonds in the rough here. But overall.....bleh. The GM needs to give Dayton stores some TLC. Boycotting Starbucks until the new one by my house opens. read more

The service is extremely slow and my drink is horrible and watered down every time I order it, I have to send it back every time for them to get it right. Let me start by listing the good parts of my few visits here: 1) They have a drive thru 2) My drinks always taste good. Okay, that's all. Now my reasonings for the low star rating.... The barista told me I had a very complicated order and asked me to repeat it four different times, no exaggeration. So on the fifth time I said it as slow and as loud as I could: "Hot chocolate. With 2 pumps of caramel. The largest size you have." Still not sure where the confusion was as it seems pretty basic to me, but my real problem was not that I was asked to repeat my order so many times. This location is closed 9/10 times that I have stopped, even though they are supposed to be open. Need new management. Even when they are open they are continually running out of supplies. I have written reviews before, but nothing changes. Such an embarrassment for Starbucks that this once excellent location has become a disappointment. The workers are very fast and super friendly. This is a great location. The great part about this Starbucks location is: after all the hussle and bussle of shopping at the stores (close to this location: Walmart), you can come here and just relax. They even have a nice round table to have a little work or friendly meeting around. The decor is from Dayton of the past. I was so impressed with the service I have had while visiting this location. My first time visiting my Batista gave me my drink for free because of my wait which wasn't even that long.
