The nitro coffee machine has been down for three weeks. It doesn't seem with anyone there to get a fixed.

My first visit and the customers kept coming in for the coffee and the odor of it brewing was very very good. I myself do not drink coffee so I ordered the hot chocolate with a chocolate pastry and both were awesome. They heated the pastry and it tasted so good I could have eaten more. The staff greeted customers they see every morning by name. The overall opinion of Starbucks is a first rate establishment with delicious coffee, hot chocolate and wonderful pastry. I first time customer the place felt welcoming, comfortable, products very enjoyable. I saw customers rushing in buying their favorite coffee and rushing out. Some bought their coffee and sat down at a table read a newspaper. I sat down and enjoyed the welcoming environment and delicious pastry and hot chocolate. read more

oh my gosh. guys, youve seriously outdone yourself. peaches did an outstanding job taking my order that i usually place on the app, he is ALWAYS so welcoming and friendly when i come, i always look forward to seeing him! and for the woman that was at the drive-thru (i didnt get her name but she had black straight hair) she was so kind! and dont even get me started on my coffee. whoever made it made it PERFECTLY! it tastes like heaven after my long shift. these guys working here seriously need a raise, they are outstanding people! i wish i could give more than 5 stars because these karens leaving 1 star reviews are completely out of their minds. thank you so much guys, i really appreciate the excellent service! read more

Changing my 5 star review to 1 star. They are ALWAYS out of food. you would think that a manager would be smart enough to place bigger orders because this is on the regular. It's not like it's on the weekend or on a holiday weekend. It's 100% of all the damn time. What what's wrong with just ordering more so you have enough on hand? You're cutting your sales by not having the product available to sell. Do you realize how that works? And then it was the brown sugar latte that I have ever gotten - completely sucks. The worst $6 dollars I have ever spent. It was thrown at me. I was rushed through the drive-through and they had the balls to ask me to leave a tip on the machine. Great spot for afternoon coffee by the beach. Great view and very new, clean establishment. Friendly staff and nice decorations wall sea life murals. It has drive through which you get to see the ocean while ordering/ waiting inline. Very surprised that it is not packed with people. Highly recommended. read more

Very disrespectful. Even the manager. The drink was very good. But the manager and another employee were very rude. The rest of the Starbucks seemed to be filled. It was a very nice Starbucks. Just not the best workers. We asked to talk to the manager and the manager was one of the disrespectful employees there. We then said we would talk to corporate and they said "Y'all have fun with that." Overall, I rate this Starbucks with two stars. my drink was at least still good. read more

Stopped at this location leaving Port Aransas heading back home to San Antonio. The wife and I order a ham and cheese croissant and two lattes. The staff were very friendly and had smiles on their faces. It was a pretty busy in the store with drive thru customers, mobile orders, and people in side but the wait wasn't long. The ambiance of the place when we first walked in looked friendly and the place is nice. Two of the employees were very disrespectful one of them was even the manager(her name was Jen) and the other was blonde who was making the drinks. When the manager was taking my cousins order my cousin said a vanilla frappe, the manager misheard her and put something else. So when she got her drink my grandma and her were very confused because my cousin knew what she ordered. So when we told the blonde girl that this isn't what she ordered she took it and dumped it out and it was all good. But then the manager Jen came over she said "well that's what she orders, she ordered it wrong" and got very defensive and rude. When she turned her back she said in a very rude tone to the blonde girl and said "she ordered it wrong" so we were all getting upset so grandma asked if we can talk to the manager, and of course the manager was the rude one. So my grandma just said she would email corporate and the blonde one in a rude tone says "You have fun with that" So an overall rating is 1 because the drinks were good, but the food could be better. My chocolate croissant was not the best. So one star from me because of the disrespectful employees. i read more

The coffee is good as was the service and so are the breakfast sandwiches, so why 3 stars? For starters, there is no prep area to add your cream, sugar, etc, you have to ask for it. Secondly, Gnats! Gnats in the food display case and in the dining area. I had to shoo them off my sandwich twice. Third, they have a really great outdoor patio area with lots of seating. Unfortunately, it is completely unusable in the morning hours as they are coated with the morning dew and everything is soaking wet. No effort is made to squeegee the water off the tables or dry the chairs. Basically, the patio area is pretty useless until around 10 AM when the sun comes out. That's a shame, because the outdoor patio faces out towards the bay, which is picturesque. The sandwiches were good but they bag them instead of plate them, so the sandwich comes apart in the bag and you have to put it back together. Starbucks aren't all the same. This is a pretty darn good one. The staff here was all friendly and the spot can't be beaten! The view is amazing, even the drive-thru view is spectacular. If you have time to sit and sip, there's a nice deck/porch area for you to relax on and enjoy the amazing view. I'm not an Islander - we were just here for a visit, so I can't comment on the whole battle between Island Joe's vs Starbucks. I can say that I was overly impressed by how friendly and attentive everyone was, how well our drinks were made that happen to also be "out of the norm, with several adjustments" and how easily we got in and out. (and that view!) Stop in and give them a try. :) read more

Bought 2 oatmeal's and they were as dry as can be. When we called we were told that they fill up the container to the line and if we didn't eat them right away this could have happened. We were helped a few times, each by a different barista, every one of them was fantastic. My grandmother had some issues with her app and our first barista was very patient and helpful. She even made a great suggestion when I learned they were out of a flavor I wanted. Someone else took my order from the window and when I asked where it was they went above and beyond to ensure it was corrected and that we were satisfied with our experience. As we sat in the lobby we watched and listened as they gave every other customer fantastic service as well. If I could give this place a 0 I would . Since I've been coming into this shop. With my dog just to order then go outside to enjoy my drink . I was thrown out by manager Chris tall fellow. Even after I explained that my dog was a service dog. And I just wanted to order and walk outside with her.. I asked to talk to a higher up and he refused to get me any information. This Starbucks location is full of very friendly employees, however they urgently need to get the fruit flys under control. You can't sit in the dinner area, pull out your laptop and enjoy your coffee without having fruit flys swarming on you. Islanders are very opinionated. You'll see a lot of bad reviews that inflate island joe's and criticize Starbucks. The truth is that this is my favorite Starbucks in the area. It's easier to get to, not a lot of people have discovered it, and the drive through's view is stunning. Keep in mind they only opened a month ago. Sometimes it takes time to train the staff to produce what you're used to from any shop, even a chain. I like island joe's too. I just happen to think there's room for both. read more
