When I pulled up to the drive-thru, the barista asked for my order. I let her know I had a mobile order and provided my name. She told me to hold on, then came back after about 90 seconds and said, "Well, you only placed the order two minutes ago, it's not ready yet, but you can pull around." That response was completely unnecessary. A simple, courteous response such as "We're still working on it, please pull around" or "Got it, pull around" would have been much more appropriate. After waiting about 10 minutes in line, I finally reached the window. She handed me the drink, and when I asked to speak to a manager, she rolled her eyes. I explained the situation to the manager, who then claimed there was a "new policy" stating all mobile orders take at least 12 minutes and that the app should reflect that. Suspicious, I contacted Starbucks corporate, who confirmed--as I suspected--that no such policy exists. The manager lied directly to me. What could improve - the accuracy of my order. Location is prime, but the staff seem to change every week. There is a huge difference between coconut milk and lemonade. After pointing out to staff in drive thru that my drink was wrong- he stood his ground saying it's coconut milk. I drove off, too early to argue. Mindblowingly slow. They get irritated if you order in-store pickup and end up going through drive-thru. Today I ordered drive-thru and it took over 30 minutes to get through drive-thru with only about 8-10 cars. And once you enter the drive-thru there is no backing out because there's a curb on each side of the car. read more

Well... it's kind of hard to review a Starbucks. They are good at being consistent, so what you get is generally what you expected. This one didn't disappoint. The service was fast, polite, and friendly. My order was a simple drip coffee (Venti pike), but they still don't have cream and sugar out for customers to self use. The server was careful to understand how I wanted mine, and made it just how I asked. I was meeting some colleagues for a meeting, and appreciated the outside tables with good Wi-Fi access. My only recommendation is for them to wipe down the outside tables more often. All of them needed a bit of attention. read more

This Star Bucks is on the way back from the gym. I like it because they do all the promos stars that are on the app. This StarBucks is almost always crowded! It has taken 30 minutes to make and get an order one time. Usually it can take at least 10 minutes. If you have the Starbucks app, I recommend ordering on the app so you don't have to wait so long. The inside is a typical Starbucks store but since it is crowded, it is a bit hard to move around. The service is fine. Even though they are crowded. This Starbucks is a lil gem in an unusual location - which is actually a good thing. Many Starbucks are located in a busy, high traffic area which makes it hard to get in and out. This Starbucks is not in a shopping area but IS next to a highly traveled artery in the Columbia, MD, area. Smaller than most Starbucks but the quality of service, cleanliness, friendliness, and excellent coffee was reassuring. Don't forget you can order a FREE Pupccino--a child size cup with whipped cream for your dog to enjoy while you have your own warm or cold favorite drink. Decent sized household goods selection with a nice variety of items to purchase as a quick gift or to enjoy Starbucks at home. I have been enjoying this location for 5+ years. Service is typically very friendly and quick. Currently, early Oct 2019 they are looking for new staff and a little slower than they typically are. Right now, I suggest pre ordering on the Starbucks App so your order is ready when you arrive. Typically, however, there is no need as they quickly clear the line and fill everyone's order without much wait. Sadly, this location only has 2 comfortable chairs if you happen to have Pain Issues & are not comfortable in hard, upright chairs. UPDATE JAN 2020: now have 3 Comfy Chairs !! They are tucked away in the corner by the merchandise for sale. They still face the line of people ordering, but are angled facing each other now. Two chairs are side by side and there is a small end table shared by the 3 chairs. The 3rd chair is on the other side of the end table. They appear to have responded to my previous review. That I stated the only comfy chairs were in a not so nice location within the store as they were pointed facing the line and baristas all the time. This won't matter to most visitors. But, as a customer with Chronic Pain, the number & location of soft sided chairs makes a difference to me. I had sat down to start working on my laptop - and the barista even brought my breakfast to me. This location is easy on off from 32, and has great parking. The pick up counter is a little small and cramped compared to other locations, especially when there are a lot of other people waiting for their drinks. I frequent this Starbucks to do work and study in, as well as to hang out with my friends on the weekends when I am home. It is a small, cozy shop with friendly staff, and though we sometimes have to move to another location because there are not enough seats available, when there are available seats, we could sit there for hours with a few cups of coffee and a donut or popcorn, and we do not get harassed to leave. I often see teachers grading, and college students studying for exams here. I feel very comfortable doing work here, and have no problems going up to the baristas and ordering seconds or thirds of whatever drinks I feel in the mood for. read more

I'm the mornings they are swamped to the point that it takes 20 mins to get a bagel- you can mobile order and still have a 10-15 min wait. The systems they have in place are not effective. The woman working the food will make 7 items and then bring them to the front so if your item wasn't in that batch you have to wait for the next few items.
