Perhaps the most unclean Starbucks I have been to in 10 years. Filthy bathroom, paper on floor, water on floor.....filthy. As I placed my order the barisista was busy ordering supplies thru her headset to another employee. Our entre conversation consisted of me ordering a Pumpkin Spice Latee, handing her my gold card (since 2009) and her reply of "you don't have a reward." Done. When I picked up my coffee at the bar no acknowledgement it was mine! .....oh....and no thank you either! What was the bonus you asked? ....the young man apparently sleeping, or in a stooper slumped over his steering wheel in the small red car parked in front of the sidewalk leading into the front door. Wow! Talk about a lack of customer service. I come every day sometimes twice a day and spend close to $500 a month here thanks to my daughters and my addiction to Starbucks. Today I encountered a slow and not properly trained cashier it took 15 min just to order our drinks with 3 people in front of us, then it took an additional 30 min to get our drinks. After asking this gentleman named Leo (who later I learned was a supervisor, that must be a joke) why my drinks are seating there untouched for 20 min, he tells me loudly so everyone in the room can hear, "we are short staffed, this is how the manager staffed us, we are short staffed and the manager didn't care so that's that! " wow! Instead of trying to diffuse the situation and apologizing this amazing supervisor (being sarcastic) blows up with his frustration to a loyal customer. I will not have that.. when I asked a barista what his name was she told me he was the supervisor, I didn't ask that. I told her that didn't matter because he's not the manager. This is one of a few Starbucks near my house. This particular Starbucks is smaller and parking lot is smaller than others. On a positive note, this Starbucks is conveniently located right off the 215 freeway. The baristas here are friendly and attentive. It seems the restrooms need to be cleaned and stocked more frequently. read more

In the time since my first review I have had the misfortune to visit three other Starbucks locations. They say you dont know what you got till its gone and I so agree, although I am happy to say that MY Starbucks aint gone! My go to Starbucks! I usually come here after the other starbucks across the ways messes up on my drink. The drive thru is always long which is a good thing because that means that they obviously know how to make things taste good. I have always been greeted and have had great customer service. I have also had interactions with Alyssa in drive thru and that is why I come inside now because I'm not going to let her be the reason this location gets a bad rep. She is extremely rude but the other staff makes up for it. Overall this is probably one of my favorites in Colton. Amy, Caleb, and Xavier always go above and beyond for my mobile orders. Every time I come to this Starbucks or make or make an online order something is always wrong. There is a full staff so there's no excuse about being short staffed. Today I ordered online it's been 30 min that I order and it's still not ready the barrista the only guy here rather make walk in orders rather than the orders placed online. This was my first time at this location. I was completely disappointed. I ordered one of the pastries and it was extremely dry and stale ( She charged me 20 cents to replace it). In addition, my drink was prepared incorrectly. Most of all was the disappointment of customer service that I received. The young lady that took my order was named Alyssa. I've come here a few times because it's the closest to my home. Each time I do, I think- this time will be different....Wrong! The drive thru at this location is the slowest ever! Whether there are 10 cars or just 2. I don't know what the heck they do in there but they need to step it up. Each time I pull up to the window I see about 5-7 baristas standing there looking confused and overwhelmed. Last time I visited that location (Saturday 6/18 @9am) I asked for a Venti cool lime refresher with coconut milk and light ice. She handed me my drink with no Coconut milk and no lime slices, I told her I asked for coconut milk and she forgot the lime wheels, She took it back, I waited a few, then she handed it back to me, still no lime wheels....I just sighed and drove off. Took a sip of my drink. It literally tasted like water with coconut milk! Never again will I visit this location. I'd rather drive a little more to the Mt Vernon & Washington location or 9th & I-10. I used to work at this location quite a few years ago and it makes me sad to see it go down hill. What happened to pride in the customer service you provide? Cleanliness seems ok but I see frequent health violations like not washing hands and towels hanging out of butt pockets. Please wash your hands between taking dirty cash and making my drinks! But my main concern is customer service. They shut down bars to clean at the during peak times in the evening but that isn't even the worst. What happened to immediately greeting dt customers right when they get to the window? Every visit I sit and stare at the window waiting to give them my money for at least two minutes and frequently longer. I wasn't planning on mentioning names but Ricky is the rudest barista. As a customer I am not allowed to correct him. I have gotten him as the dt barista two visits in a row and may not return. For example I ordered a kids sfv steamer with no whip. He asked what size I said kids he said so short... Well yeah but kids. I got to the window waited for him eventually to come to the window and when he finally got there he didn't greet me but I asked if the steamer was rung in as kids. He lied and said yes I asked for a receipt at the end of a very rude and painful interaction. The receipt read short. It came with whip and wasn't filled all the way up. I give these to my 2 year old nephew and got sfv for a reason not just to put it in the whip. This is how every interaction with Ricky has been. I asked how long he has been with the company he said a year. If it was a couple months I could see how maybe the issues (other than attitude) could happen and maybe just asking other coworkers for help would take care of it. But a year with the company the kids option should be a known button on the pos for him to use. In my opinion he seems so prideful and as a customer I am a inconvenience to him. There was one young lady that was at the window a few visits ago that was just fabulous! She was bubbly and happy and had a nice conversation with me while I waited for my drinks! I ordered $43 worth of drinks this morning, and none of them were worth drinking! My hot white mocha tasted like dirty warm water. The fraps were so thick, and tasted like ice. The chocolate milk I got for my granddaughter ended up being an iced mocha. It said chocolate milk on the cup, when she said she didn't like it, I tasted it, and knew right away there wasn't any chocolate milk in it. To top it off, I sat in the drive through for 50 minutes to get this! Someone in upper management needs to step in and do something with this place! I have truly NEVER been in a Starbucks with a rowdier, more oblivious-to-volume staff team than this one. Monday, 2/5/18 closing staff to be specific. First strike was when I came in, and employee at the register decided to multitask between taking my order and chatting *non-work related topics, quite loudly* with coworkers. That's all fine. Until 10 minutes later, when I realized I've watched 2 people who were behind me get their orders before me. So I let them know. Apparently they had never put the order in. Staff looked completely lost, and for a brief moment, like they were questioning whether or not I had placed an order to begin with. I showed them my receipt, they apologized, drink was ready in less than 2 minutes. Fine; water under the bridge. Second strike, however, was within the last 20 minutes before closing. I originally planned on using the time left on finishing up with work, but these baristas are LITERALLY SINGING/SCREAMING (a poor version) OF SOMETHING RESEMBLING OPERA AS THEY WORK. Not to mention the shouts, the laughter, and the general college-party like ambience they were setting. I noticed that throughout the night, during the rare, quieter moments, they would say something like "thanks, have a good night" to people walking out-- but as the last of us were leaving, they were so absorbed in conversation, I'm not even sure they noticed we were there to begin with. TL;DR: if you're going to study here, bring noise cancelling headphones, or consider not even bothering. The Starbucks off Mt. Vernon, in my experience, is MUCH better. read more

My chai soy latte was not hot and tasted very watered down and flavorless..I hope they used soy milk because I'm very lactose intolerant..soy milk adds a thicker consistency and this one is very watered down.. on another note.. I always get great service at Starbucks.. that's why I come here as opposed to coffee bean.. because coffee bean has the sugar free chai I like and Starbucks doesn't have the sugar free..today I did not have that great service. I just want to share five stars to this location. We had a rough start this morning. The first Starbucks we were going to use was closed and we had mobile ordered with no idea it was closed due to a power outage. Maddie was a doll and assisted us- we got out drinks. Ordered food and she even offered us water. In my job we are told in training classes after training classes to always treat customers with respect and the little things you do to go above and beyond can make the slightest different in someone's days. And you never know what their past is. You never know if that frown means they are having a bad day. Little things go unnoticed. But Maddie thank you for being such a great barista !! read more

By farrrr the worst Starbucks that I go to! I travel all day long between Colton Loma Linda Redlands San Bernardino Highland and Yucaipa. This review is not based on one visit but six visits... One time I had good service the other five times I've encountered rude baristas, filthy restroom, wrong orders. At the Clark location in Redlands, on my second visit they were calling me by name SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE! Even though this location is near my home I don't think I will be back! Usually this Starbucks is okay. Drinks aren't made perfectly every time, and compared to other locations, they fall short. Today, I ordered a drink and they did not give me what I ordered, and then proceeded to tell me that it was. Mind you I order this drink all the time. They said all the cold foam had sunk to they bottom. They gave me a drink that was completely mixed together and filled to the brim. I don't think there was ever cold foam in there and the wrong lid for that drink was on the cup. Instead of saying they made the wrong drink or that they were out of it, I'm not sure what happened l, they told me it was what I ordered and that I should just take it cause it tastes the same. The two guys who work here regularly provide excellent customer service. This review is not about them. I would appreciate better service from some of the women who work at this Starbucks. There have been several times where I have come here and my order, both mobile orders and in person orders, have been incorrect. Instead of being apologetic for the mistake, they have made me feel as though it were my fault for getting the order incorrect. I can understand if maybe I wasn't clear in person, but an online order with a receipt of what I ordered? That doesn't seem right. This most recent encounter I asked for an everything bagel but received a plain bagel and asked if I could get what I asked for. Three of the women who worked there began talking right in front of me about my situation, expressing their annoyance for having to reheat a new bagel. I understand if the place was busy and in fact I probably would have just taken the plain bagel if that were the case but there was no one in line or in the drive thru lane. Literally 30 minutes later I ordered a hot drink but received an iced version. The man working there apologized and asked if I wanted my drink remade, to which I declined because the woman who had given me attitude about the bagel started giving me a side eye. I don't know what went wrong with the service here. This used to be my favorite Starbucks and I still come here on the regular but it is really difficult to want to come here when the service is the way it is. I hope their working conditions become better for them, part of me thinks/hopes the reason for the change is that they've been overworked and are feeling burnt out from the workload they have. read more

The lack of customer service here is astonishing. I constantly get eye rolling from staff here when I ask for something I asked for while ordering. My order is not hard. When I order oatmeal I ask for no nuts due to allergies and apparently that's annoying to staff. The drive thru is a wreck, I constantly have to repeat my order and it's only right half the time. This location is the most convenient for me but I apparently need to start leaving early to go to a different location. I've been to many starbucks all over the country. This is by far the best Starbucks I've ever been to. Melissa and layla (I hope I spelt her name right), make every stop there the most enjoyable and uplifting experience to have. If they were to be rewarded for post like these my hope is that this company uses their personality and expert customer service as their future training model. However if that were to be the case please never take them away from this store. Because of their service I plan to be a returning customer even though I live 2hrs away.
