I've repeatedly experienced discrimination and poor treatment as a disabled customer at two Starbucks locations: 125 Redlands Blvd, San Bernardino, CA 92408 1241 E. Washington St, Colton, CA 92324 As someone protected under the ADA, I expect to be treated with respect when I let staff know I have a disability. Unfortunately, I've repeatedly been questioned, scolded, and even threatened with order cancellations simply because I cannot place my mobile order 15-20 minutes in advance due to medical appointments. I've explained that I'm disabled and that the app helps me manage my neurological condition by remembering my drink order for me, yet employees still challenge me every time. Starbucks is a multi-billion-dollar company, and if there are ongoing issues with ticket printing or order timing, that should be handled internally by your IT or operations team -- not taken out on customers, especially those with disabilities. Please ensure your employees and managers receive proper ADA and sensitivity training. When a customer identifies as disabled, that should be the end of the discussion -- not the start of a confrontation. I'm not asking for special treatment, only for equal access and a simple, respectful experience when ordering my drink and food without being harassed or made to prove my disability. I did attempt to resolve this without leaving a negative review, but I guess I am not worthy of a phone call back from management to see how they will proceed with their future employee ADA training. read more

Came to this location at 9:12pm, location did not close for another 18 minutes and the doors were locked. Tugged on the door and the two employees glanced up, shook their head, and continued closing-- EARLY. General business practice is that you stay open for the time you are advertised to do so... I would advise the management team here to retrain the closing team from June 22nd because clearly they don't know how to do that! read more

My drink was prepared incorrectly twice, and when I politely pointed it out, the barista responded with visible annoyance instead of an apology. Throughout the interaction, the barista spoke to me in a dismissive tone and rolled their eyes when I asked simple questions about my order. I asked to speak with the manager and the barista goes she is the manager her name was Aisha, expecting the situation to be smoothed over. Instead, she doubled-down on her attitude, questioning whether the error was really "that big a deal" and refusing to remake the drink without additional charge. Her defensiveness and unwillingness to own the mistake left me wondering about her basic sense of fairness and professionalism. I usually enjoy Starbucks for its consistency, but this visit left a sour taste--literally and figuratively. Very unprofessional today my wife came home and told me what happened at Starbucks. Amber was rude and gave my wife attitude all because they messed up her drink. My wife told them at the window that she does not want to no lenonade in her strawberry açai, but they insisted that it was no lemonade but when my wife drink it, it had lemonade. She went back in to tell them what they did wrong and they still continue to give her attitude. This is really unprofessional. You need to talk to your workers. The employees act like it's an inconvenience when someone comes through the drive-through, and they're often rude. Today, a girl handed me my drink while scrolling on her phone--the only words she said were "$6.20." No greeting, no smile, nothing. I've also had my drink made incorrectly multiple times, and when I've gone inside to have it fixed, the attitude is just as bad. One time, the barista grabbed my drink, poured some sweet cream into it without a word, and handed it back. No apology, no acknowledgment--it's like basic kindness or decency is too much to ask for. My wife orders the strawberry refresher and asked for the dehydrated strawberries to be put in a small cup for our daughter instead of in the drink and the employee refused. Instead, we told her to put the strawberries in the drink and then asked her to give us an extra cup, and spoon for us to do it ourselves. No other Starbucks has ever had a problem putting the dehydrated strawberries in the cup for our daughter. Most even put extra strawberries in the cup for her. The location is great for us. Coming down from Mount Vermont in Riverside, we spotted the Starbucks sign and so we were actually looking for a place to eat, but since we were here we then craved a bagel and some coffee. The outside patio area is great with both views to plushy green mounds and stunning views of the majestic snow top covered mountains. The breeze was perfect and my bagel was just right. However my husbands cascara latte that he ordered, was way too hot and since he ordered it with almond milk, Almond milk is sensible to heat, so that changed the whole flavor experience. What we think happened, their drive that was jammed packed and so they might of overlooked at the exact order and that caused the situation. He sent it back and we immediately got a replacement, which was better tasting than the first but that took away on the experience. And the fact that staff does not take that extra step towards world class customer friendly and warming welcoming experience just adds this chain to a fast track coffee place. The staff are all in masks and clientele are required to mask. they tell you where to stand when to move up to keep the distance and they are busy busy busy. they also had time for great customer service.
