The coffee and food are fine here. It's how slow it is that is the problem. The staff is nice enough and working hard behind the counter. Clearly Starbucks needs to recognize that more people are needed to work this particular store. I placed an online order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting the full 15 minutes, I checked on my order and was told that three employees had called out, so they were backed up--but that my order was only two away. I decided to wait, even though I had a train to catch. After waiting a total of 35 minutes for just one drink, I asked again when it would be ready and was given the same response--that they were behind. Since I was going to miss my train, I had no choice but to leave and request a refund. At that point, I was told I was being "condescending," which I found very unprofessional. I completely understand that staffing shortages happen, but there should still be a basic level of customer service when customers ask about their orders. This seems to be an ongoing issue. Some suggestions: Post a sign on the door or in the app letting customers know that orders are running 15-20 minutes behind. Temporarily pause online ordering until the team catches up. What shouldn't happen is staff being rude when a customer inquires about their order. Just really disappointed with Cohasset Starbucks. Unfortunately, this seems to be an ongoing issue at this location, and it feels like Cohasset Starbucks has become complacent--acting as though they don't need to provide good customer service because their name and popularity will carry them regardless. That sense of entitlement is disappointing and not what you expect from such a large, established company. read more

There ARE good baristas here. That being said, I try to go to any other Starbucks but this one. I've waited as long as 25 minutes to get to the window and by that time, the ice in my drink has made it watery. Does management have any idea how many customers they are losing with so many cars peeling out of the line, sick of waiting? Drink orders seem to get mixed up frequently and if the peach green tea I ordered had any peach in it, I would be surprised. I just don't understand this--it didn't used to be like this. Perhaps there needs to be some serious retraining. In the meantime, I recommend Marshfield --a lot of traffic, but well managed, quality drinks, and consistently good baristas. read more

The quality issues are horrendous at this store. We FREQUENTLY have our orders incorrectly made and have to go back inside the store to complain and get the order corrected. Half the time we don't even bother to complain because the wait is so long that we don't have the time to continue to wait. I just left the Starbucks on 3A in Cohasset after waiting 30 mins without placing an order. I waited 20 mins in the drive through, 15 mins with no movement with 1 car in front of me. I understand at 9:30 AM it's very busy and things can get backed up. So I proceeded inside, where I waited another 10 mins with no one at the register to take my order. Again, understandable, very busy time of day. While I waited inside there was a customer communicated in a calm manner his frustration for the wait. The staff just laughed at him and ridiculed him in front of other customers when he left. That's where my patience ends and I left. Such disrespect for customers is unacceptable. I'll get my coffee elsewhere. Thank you. To those who work there, you may want to think about the goodwill of the store when you treat a customer that way in front of other customers. I hope the owner of the store sees this and realizes how his shop is being managed steps in. Otherwise between the long wait and rude staff you will unquestionably lose more customers. read more

It's Starbucks and for that I give it one star. Last Saturday I tried to order a new menu item and ended up listening to a lecture about banana smoothies. All i wanted was a frappucino but just not possible. I was repeatedly corrected by the smug ordering voice that I didn't know what I wanted. Really? Well I know I don't want to hear you correct me, when I know you're wrong. In fact when I finally got to take my order and showed the (different) window employee a picture of what I wanted, she said, " oh sure, I know what that is!" Are you the only one? Starbucks- why is this store so consistently slow to deliver? The order will be correct 75% of the time but by then I've waited in line so long- I DON'T CARE! Derby Street has nowhere to park and no drive through but I'd still rather go out of my way there- no lectures and I get what I order! read more

It was nice there was a drive thru and it was pretty fast, it was good because there was no line in it. I ordered your basic Frappuccino and it was really good. The service was excellent and the young gentleman that handed us our drinks gave us napkins when we didn't even ask. The drink was perfect and refreshing, I had absolutely no complaints. read more

Starbucks cohasset has really gone downhill, I'm not sure what happened. They were amazing at one time I've been a customer since 2003 (them opening ) and former employee from 2004-2007 I know exactly the recipes and how everything should taste. It's annoying how they changed the Frappuccino coffee base into a syrup which makes them appear less coffee like and not even a light brown/tan color. EVERY single time EVERYTIME they put the whip cream on the Frappuccino when it ALWAYS says NO WHIP when I order thru mobile order, It's very aggravating to get so many wrong orders all of a sudden and long wait times I'd say a few times a week , 15 min wait the other morning for a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, many calls to corporate having to get back my stars on my gold card cuz the young girl would use them on " not that expensive drinks" I would order without asking me just applied the rewards when I said no to her asking me if I wanted to get a free drink or pastry, it's very busy I know I get it but they never used to be this unorganized, making incorrect orders, and teenagers not knowing what they're doing and basically not caring multiple calls to corporate and a phone call with the store manager for 15 mins ........ you would think they wouldn't make mistakes on my orders still I mean no ones perfect but STILL the same mistakes not all the time but often ....... This is a nice little Starbucks situated within Cohasset. It gets extra points for being relatively bright, and having a WiFi hotspot. Being someone on vacation who checks his email and discovers that he has 48 Hotmail messages (though about 35 seem to have been from the Yelp discussion he started about Transformers), I appreciate the fact I can find somewhere out here that's relatively easy to get to that I can check my email at. read more

Usually a very good Starbucks, but very slow some mornings because the cashier there will take one customer's order, then walk off when she's done and go stock pastries or go into the back room and come back a few minutes later to take the next order. I have actually left twice without ordering anything. The drive through is more efficient than going inside. read more

The Cohasset Starbucks is one of the worst Starbucks I have EVER been to! I asked for a venti strawberry açaí with no ice(because I don't like ice in my drink) and they handed it to me less than half full! I asked them why it was not full and they told me that that is what the normal amount of drink is and they just fill the rest with ice! I and many others pay about $5.00 (with tax) for this drink, when really more than half the cup is just full with ice! Also, the women who talked to me(maybe the manager) was a jerk! read more

This place is the singular worst coffee shop. Their drive through takes over twenty minutes for no discernable reason. I have sat at the window and watched then fill three new orders from the counter while I wait. This drive thru has to be the slowest I've ever experienced. I'm not sure if it's in fact the employees or the customers who seem to be on Facebook while waiting to order. It's unfortunate because the beverages I've ordered have been good and all of my orders correct. Can we just speed things up a bit? 10-15 minutes waiting for a coffee is ridiculous. I've traveled most of the 50 states and have tried Starbucks in most of these states many times. I'm not sure why it is, but like many of the other customers who have commented here, this is the slowest place on Earth to get a cup of coffee. The managers may want to walk into a Dunkin Donuts to see how quickly lines of people can move. It's really pitiful. read more
