The service was great too - young and friendly staff who were happy to serve and help. It can be disappointing to travel all the way to Abridge to find that all the tables are taken + there's a queue or bikers who got there first waiting for the next 5 ones to vacate. It's not a big place, and during winter it's too cold to sit outside. The tables are packed together and communal, which it's not everyone's cup of tea. But the fact it's packed reinforces how good the grub is. Arrive earlier or later on the day, beat the crowds and give it a go! It's totally worth it.
