I don't like this place but my wife does. I typically go to DD and did for a simple Black coffee only to have their shitty cup fail. This cup failure is my 3rd this year.....errr. We happened to be swinging by STARBUCKS for my wife's Gr Ic Chai Car Cf 3 pumps Chai and the lady swapped out my crap cup. Thank you Starbucks team for the rock star cup. What a friendly group! I am not a local and I ran in to get some hot chocolate due to the weather! The service was phenom. They were friendly, cheerful, and fast. The hot chocolate was delicious and hit the spot! I visited everyday I was in town. They already knew what I wanted when I came in the door! I miss that Starbucks! I specifically ordered a double-smoked bacon sandwich, the workers told my driver that they can't swap the bacon and instead gave me pork. When I asked why they gave no response and had the same response and I wasn't allowed to refund my order neither. Definitely won't be ordering from here again. read more

My ordering usually takes place through the app and it's always ready when I pick up my order. Baristas are super friendly and efficient. This is my favorite location so far of all the others in the area. It's always organized and tidy both in front and behind counter. The napkins, straws, creamers, spices, etc., are always refilled and I've never seen the trash receptacle overflowing with garbage. I'd really like if they did the pour overs and carried more premium coffee beans like the Potomac MD location. read more

I used to frequent this Starbucks until the day I overheard two of the older female employees complaining about law enforcement. One of the complainers was a short heavier set woman with brown hair and the other employee was a tall older female. Neither could muster a smile or act as though they wanted to help anyone. Not sure If they were management or possibly that particular Starbucks franchise owner. Regardless, very unprofessional ladies! Save the complaining for after hours. Today I stopped at the Bel Air Starbucks to buy a coffee and I also decided to buy a bagel to bring back home where I was going to toast it. The sign said Everything With Cheese Bagel $1.50. When it was rung up the cashier rung it up at $1.75. I pointed out that it wasn't right and the cashier acted very curt with me saying she couldn't fix it. She also suggested that it was tax, which it wasn't. I understand that it is a small amount of money, but the signage displayed should match the actual price at the register and other people could be affected by deceptive pricing. To top it all off the coffee I got was luke warm. While they might have been having a problem with their coffee maker, they still shouldn't be serving luke warm coffee. Other experiences haven't been that great at this Starbucks, but this was by far the worst one. read more

Whoa! Worst Starbucks in Harford County. I am all about giving props to Starbucks locations, but not to this one. They're some weird cats in here. They don't typify the friendly, at-your-service Starbucks Barista. I've been here three times and the following example illustrates the theme of what I've experienced each time I've been. I went this morning. I stepped up to the cashier when it was my turn to order, not because I was asked if I could be helped, because I would have been waiting maybe forever. She just looked at me blankly when I approached, a blank stare accompanied by her hand hovering over the register, ready to press some buttons and get my order over with. That is precisely what it feels like very time I am in here: they don't care that you're there, they just want to get you in and out. It's like they're automatons. Anyway, I asked the cashier how she was doing (I think the standard "how are you" preface to taking/giving one's order is preferable). She looked at me like I had three heads, like no customer had ever asked her how she was doing. I was probably defying the robot code of employee-customer transactions. I then placed my order: "I'll have a Venti Veranda and a blueberry oatmeal." I paid, she gave me my coffee, and I walked to the counter to wait for my oatmeal. Four minutes later I didn't have my oatmeal and the employees behind the counter were showing no signs of making an oatmeal. Note that the place was not busy at all. I stepped closer to the counter, trying to catch a pair of eyeballs, all of which were seemingly going to great lengths to avoid my own pair. Robots aren't too keen on eye contact. Finally I said, "excuse me, do you know when my oatmeal will be ready?" Confused, lips-parted stare. Again, I must have grown two more heads since I walked in. "Oatmeal? What kind of oatmeal?" Geez Louise. I'll stick with Bel Air B&N location where they're friendly and efficient. read more

My favorite Starbucks in Bel Air. They have some employees that really go above and beyond to know their customers and provide stellar service! The only reason I gave them 4 versus 5 stars is because the parking can get a little hectic (parking lot is small) and at times they get so busy that they forget parts of your order. Love that it is close to home but wish it was larger. Busy location and it can get very tight on a busy day. No matter how busy they get everyone is friendly and always happy to help. It is always busy with people ordering extra hot, extra foam, double shot, skinny whatever. I just want a coffee or expresso, and I have to wait behind all of that almost without fail. The parking lot is small, which makes it hard to park close. The outside seating overlooks route 22, which makes conversation and relaxing difficult. The recent remodeling made the small inside space less inviting to hang around and enjoy your coffee. At least the coffee is always good and the snacks that I get from time to time hit the spot. Not impressed with this location. I ordered a venti; told her only skim milk, sugar free caramel, 4 shots of espresso & ice blended together. I told her it is similar to a frap just less calories. Therefore, it took her a second to ring it up I'm assuming she rung up a regular frap and added all of what I asked, because my total came to $8.73 almost $9 for one drink! I knew that couldn't be right but I didn't even say anything and texted my friend who had told me about the drink before I went and she said she pays about $3 for that same drink at the Starbucks she goes to. I don't usually go to this location however it is close to my house and I was around the area. I go to the Starbucks on the avenue often, because I work around there and I paid $3 for the same drink the girl charged me almost $9 for! read more
