This is my go-to Starbucks on my way out to the river. It's basically the half way point and the only place I want to stop before getting on the 40. Plenty of parking and it's convenient that they have a drive thru (but I usually go inside to use the "facilities"). It is always busy so order ahead if you can. On my last stop, their computers were down so my drink was free! Friendly staff and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. read more

We arrived yesterday 7/9/17 about 3:15pm, we always stop here on our way to Las Vegas or Laughlin..when we walked in the door we immediately noticed trash all over the floors, dirty counters & tables! with only myself & family in line we just couldn't believe how dirty the store was!! I observed at least 6-7 employees behind the counter. We entered the ladies room, WOW disgusting!! again, trash all over the floors, empty cups, trash can overflowing etc....I ordered the pumpkin bread & when we left & hoped on the frwy, opened the bag, it was banana bread!!! Dirtiest & slowest Starbucks I've ever been in. The women's bathroom was absolutely disgusting: dirty floors, empty cups, toilet paper, seat covers & trash everywhere. The drink prep area (honestly all the counters behind the register) were filthy. Crumbs or pieces of food all over the counters & floor, empty/dirty containers everywhere It was so bad that one barista was literally stacking up containers so he had room to work. Another barista spilled a drink & just left it dripping onto the ground instead of cleaning it up. On top of the gross factor it took 20-30 minutes for 2 arguably simple drinks, especially considering there were maybe 5 other people in front of us and 4 baristas working. Came to this Starbucks with my service dog. When quickly approached, my dog barked per his training. The shift manager kicked me out of the Starbucks and when I asked him about kicking my service dog out of a place that clearly states "We welcome Service Animals" he told me this is his store and that if a dog barks I need to get out. I expressed to him that I have PTSD and he and two other men cane around the counter. Not only did he laugh at me having PTSD, when I asked him to please step back, he said "no, you step back!" I know other people who have survived a trauma as I have and utilize service animals will understand how this made me feel and how offended I am that I was laughed at due to this. read more

I use to work for Starbucks for almost 14 years. This has got to be the worst one yet. Person at the Register was not personable and the barista stood at the bar looking at her nails. No acknowledgment at all and I was standing there for at least 2 minutes. I asked for an iced venti caramel cloud macchiato. And the register person was asking me if it was iced or hot. Way too busy and there are limited amount of workers. If you understaff how are they going to make good drinks? I tried the Horchata Almondmilk Frap back home, and it tasted bomb. Easy to get to location. Always very friendly staff who are working hard. With a Starbucks you usually expect consistency, whether it be their drinks, service or cleanliness. Worst of all, she told me I could not get my free drink during happy hour because I did not order it when I ordered my drink. We stopped here on the way home from Vegas and it was packed! The line to order drinks was at the door and the bathroom line was just as long. Drinks came out pretty quickly after you placed your order but still took quite awhile overall. It made for a much longer pit stop, for sure. It was a convenience to stop at this Starbucks location because it was a quick on/off the freeway. The building from the outside gave me a sense that it was a new Starbucks. It was a late afternoon stop and a chilled iced beverage sounded great. First red flag should've been the lobby area which was covered in trash. And garbage spilling out of garbage cans. Second red flag inside the bathroom. Floors and trash strewn on the floors and of course flies. Third red flag. Tables and the counters sticky from the aftermath of customers. Fourth red flag. 2 drinks ordered and several customers received their orders before ours was done. I had my drink fairly quick (loosely termed) but then waited an additional 5-7 more min for my husband to get his beverage. Get it together, Starbucks. While it is true there was a long line for coffee, the ladies restroom is in terrible condition. WOST STARBUCKS IVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE. Decided to stop by for my FREE BIRTHDAY DRINK, and Costumer Service was literally shit. They messed up on both of my drinks and I kindly asked the barista if they could please adjust them and instantly the girl had an attitude. I ordered two ICED drinks, got one hot and the other was missing HEAVY CREAM. I asked one of the baristas if she could add a splash of HEAVY CREAM and she brings a jug of HALF AND HALF. I asked to see the label because I recognized it was NOT the heavy cream one, and she's like "THIS ISSS, THE HEAVY CREAM" with a horrible attitude. The other barista changed my hot drink to cold ask asked but in a very sarcastic way. However, the cashier was very patient and very kind as she took my order. Idk what is up with this location, but clearly there are more one star reviews out there and this team is filled with bad apples. This location is OK! Ive been to better. I usually make a pitstop here on the way home to Vegas. The staff never seems like they are in a good mood BUT their drinks are always made right. Their baked goods, sandwiches, salads etc. are always good & they seem to have a decent selection most of the time. Lines are always long but expected. Location doesn't seem too clean BUT being that this location is really a tourist trap with swinging doors they may be under staff and unable to keep it consistently clean. This is a management problem that should be addressed, just my opinion. They have outdoor seating & free wifi. During the summer the staff seems to be a bit more unfriendly. Its weird. I guess the heat puts them in a shitty mood OR the huffy customers, who knows?? I never see the same faces. Ive been going to this location on & off every month since they first opened their doors. This location continually gets worse as time goes on. They're always busy, a result of its remote location and nothing to do with its service or quality. It's a starbucks and it's in Barstow, it also sure gets busy by people stopping by along the way on the high way. We needed to make a pit stop, use the restroom, and get some caffeinated beverages and it worked out great. We were just at the Chevron across the street and they have Seattle's Best so I guess we could have gotten drinks there but like I say, this was a Starbucks on the long road to where ever we were going and it was a pleasant stop. Just about the halfway mark between Vegas and Los Angeles, this is a really good spot to stop and stretch your legs. Also not too bad to get a little caffeine help you with the drive. The coffee is Starbucks. You either like it or you don't. We stopped here for breakfast. I got the mozzarella and roasted tomato on bread. They warm it up before they serve it to you.
