This place is pretty cool right off Interstate 15. We stopped in on the way to Utah for gas, coffee, and a restroom break. The place was larger than I expected and it had a lot to offer for road trip travelers. The restrooms were clean enough and in good working order. They offer hot drip coffee or freshly ground espresso coffee from an automated machine. I had the drip and it was very good. We also picked up some waters, and my friend purchased a Dr. Pepper fountain drink and he said it was very good. We love to stop here when driving through Barstow! This location is inside a TA travel center. The restaurant has its own entrance for easy access. Once inside a hostess will seat you. We usually have had little or no wait. The menu has a great selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are some light options, smaller portions, kids, and senior entrees. The food is nicely prepared. Good portion sizes. Leave room for dessert, or better yet, take some to go!! read more

I've been here several times. But I don't recall going to the shop. We had batteries replaced yesterday and only made it to Kingman. Come to find out the tech in Barstow didn't reattach one of the cables to its battery post. He also didn't tighten most of the rest of them. This caused the alternator to work overtime. We're now in Kingman getting it fixed properly. The Barstow tech tried to blame what was checked on my husband. He knows as a tech what he's supposed to check on batteries and didn't so here we are sitting for over 8 hours in another shop. So Beware taking your truck to this shop!!! read more

This is my favorite place to stop when im on my way to vegas. It reminds me Im only 2 hours away from Vegas! Let me start by mentioning how impressed I was with the cleanliness of this travel stop. Usually, the restrooms are pretty messy with all the foot traffic that goes through these types of places but there wasn't any real mess. The staff were also cleaning the coffee area and organizing the trinkets while I was looking around. I noticed they had a 2 hot dogs for $5 promotion so I took advantage of that because why not?! When it was time to pay, one of the employees stopped what she was doing and attended me. She was very kind. Needless to say, it was a very easy going and productive pit stop. read more

I stopped in here for the first time on my way back home from Vegas. My first reaction was that this place is amazingly huge. The convenient store section is variable start with lots of food and drink items and also a lot of merchandise that you can purchase. There's a few dining options in here too. Further down the way there are some restrooms and lounge, a couple of washing machine to do laundry, and there are even showers available as per the signs I saw along the hallways. This is definitely not one of your standard gas stations but I could imagine why a lot of truck drivers would stop here and get gas, food, drinks, and rest up. read more

This review is mainly in regards to the bathroom. It was very clean for a truck stop! Each toilet had its own deodorizer. The bathroom wasn't too easy to find. Not to mention, their Colombian coffee and the 20% more caffeine coffee is delicious!! Ended up stopping here for 35 minutes bc the kids wanted to play games at 3 AM!! Staff was friendly and helpful. They have a Verizon guy here, a barber shop and showers. I'm thinking the average family won't need these services as much as our long distance truckers. My little pit stop between L.A. area and Lake Havasu. Total Meltdown! 100 degree weather outside, so this is a excellent stop for ice cold drinks...and to go potty. They now have a Subway, but they don't serve all the great sandwiches other Subways do...so it's ok. I don't like to eat all that greasy crap, (potato chips / beef jerky) that my friends always buy for me, because I don't like feeling sick when I'm driving through the desert. It is clean, coffee is good and all kindsa junk to buy, some good things...some overpriced things, jackets and hats. Who needs that? It's over a 100 degrees outside. Anyways...back to the road.... This place is as comprehensive as it gets in providing service to motorists. I've stopped by here on and off when headed to Vegas, and I have not been let down. A quick caffeine fix, a stop to the restroom, and a quick stretch helps keep me energized for the rest of the way. If you're feeling famished, you can buy some food at Subway on site. Or if you need more than a quick stretch, they have a fitness center here (although I've never used it, as I personally prefer to use the gym at whatever hotel I'm staying in Vegas). Not your ordinary gas station, TA in Barstow is your one stop trucker stop. This gas station has a huge store, Subway sandwich, a Denny's type cafe, small arcade, mini movie theater, huge restrooms, a fitness room, and even a coin-op laundry room. I bet they even have shower. This has to be a trucker's haven. I only tend to stop at TA's if I'm heading 15 south and needing to make one of those pit stops. If I'm heading 15 north, I stop at the 76 across the street (cranes w/Benjamin's). TA's is open 24 hours and it's clean (including the rest rooms). read more

Soda fountain is share with the gas station, but the flirts, oops I mean ladies give you a cup. The TA store... I don't like the fountain drink/coffee area. It's always messy & un-kept. Last week I needed a new travel coffee cup. there was a nice display but no prices. When asking the clerk about it, he gave me an "uummm I dont know," instead of "I'm sorry, which ones can I check for you". I am here every week & I'm surprised they have teeth still, that a trucker hasn't knocked them out. The truckers fuel island store. Has a little bit of stuff & a whole lot of nothing. Grungy. Truckers are people too & deserve a brighter perkier area without having to take the extra walk to the main store. Definitely needs some work in a few areas, but over all it is a decent place. We have driven by this place a million times on the way to Las Vegas. We usually stop on the other side of the highway and decided to take a peak and we are sure glad we did. They have a restaurant, Subway, snack bar, rest area, showers, laundry service, and even church services on Sunday. The restroom was small but clean. So on my way out towards Vegas, I decided to stop and grab some gas because the further out you get away civilization the more expensive gas gets. Barstow isn't too big of a city but at least it has plenty of choices for food, gas and other things that you won't be finding in places like Baker, California. This travel center sits off the western part of the 15 very close to the exit for both north and southbound. When I came here, all the gas on the east side of the freeway was at least 20-30 cents more per gallon for 87, so going to TA was a no brainer. I personally like most of the TA centers that I visit, the bathrooms are always clean, plenty of food options and lots of different coffee to choose from. This center has a Subway and a Black Bear Diner connected to it as well. Great place to stop for a break on your way up the 15. read more

They do have an inside sitting area for you to enjoy your gas station bought food and/or subway. Gas station food = hot dog...microwaveable sandwiches...lunchables...etc The gas is shell gas. The bathrooms are pretty decent and clean. Which was the main reason for this stop. We did check out the store and what they have to sell. We were looking for a butt pillow. They have a back one you can use as a butt one...thats $20? Then they have a back and butt.combo and a very pricey butt pillow $70! Apparently its memory foam...but the lady that helped us even said it was pricey. But tried to suggest maybe sit on a neck pillow or blanket or something. But did say if you put your keys on the chair and have that $70 memory foam...you cannot feel the keys. But we didnt get it.. its too pricey haha. But overall nice people...helpful...and clean. This is a Travelers Mecca! The staff is friendly. They offer a variety food selections, one of which happens to be Subway. Extremely poor internet service. I pay for an annual subscription to their services. When I call customer service, the response is "sorry, it's overloaded." The problem is that this is not a once in a while event. There are hundreds of truckers parked for the night and the vast majority of them are streaming video of some sort. The drain on the system is tremendous. It's simple economics. Supply isn't meeting demand. Internet services need to be upgraded. In this day and age, the internet is a requirement not a luxury. My business is on hold because if the poor connections. Create a multi tier service. I'm glad to pay more. I need the service. read more
