This review is based on their gas prices. Hands down, it is the cheapest gas per gallon - up to $1/gal less than its competitors. I was going to stop by the Chevron (or the other, can't remember the name now) but remembered there is an Arco/ampm a few yards away. With curiosity gnawing at me, I drove the few seconds just to see. Sure enough, they were much better. Highly suggesting to make comparisons first before pulling the trigger as to where to get gas at anytime you make a stop from a Vegas-Socal-Vegas trek. This area has many restaurants and shops to keep a person busy while stretching their legs after driving for hours. I dropped in to purchase our office pool Lottery tickets. The cashier was very nice and quick to assist in making all the transactions I needed. It's a busy store but you'll be in and out in no time. read more

Ever since I was a little kid, I've been stopping by this particular AM/PM on the way to Vegas! Growing up, I remember my Uncle Roger left the gas pump locked to fill up the family vehicle and my dumb-ass lifted the gas lever because I was curious about what would happen. Sure enough, the gas stopped and my uncle got mad as hell at me! hahahaha! Great times! Great times! Cut to recent times... my girlfriend and I recently went back to Vegas together and we HAD to stop here for nostalgia and for a toilet break. If you or your kids are bored on the road, they sell crossword puzzles, cap guns, mini toys, etc. If you're with a significant other or are single, they have your standard prophylactics for your protection against pregnancy and prostitutes in the form of rubber Trojans....if you're keeping it pure, then they have pretty cool keychains, many different sodas, foods and some un-sinful stuff before making your way to the city of sin. Within literally walking distance, there's the Tanger Outlets filled with stores consisting of Coach, Reebok, Guess, etc., which is also another plus if you're looking for below-normal prices for materialistic stuffs. read more

I have credit card to all the major gas stations but tend to go to Arco due to their prices. Most of the other places are $0.40 higher. Arco only accepts cash or debit which is how they keep prices down, I guess. So I can purchase the higher octane gas for the same price as others have for the lower one. read more

We stop here almost every two-three weeks going back to CA from NV. It's clean, the staff is friendly and the bathrooms are good. HERE IS THE PROBLEM, the last time we stopped a week ago I must have dropped my ATM card. Within an hour my card was used at that location three times, my bank notified me and restricted it. So.... here's the issue, it has my picture on it so if the person used it as credit they did not look at it OR it was an employee who did it! Either way it's sad and will make us rethink our stops. CAUTION AND WARNING!!!!!!!! Shady area. USE THE AM/PM AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!! We had a very dangerous encounter there recently. We were driving to Vegas in 2/21 and I went into the AM/PM to buy something and use the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom stall I heard some screaming, yelling, and loud protesting from the store area...it sounded like a fist fight between women and was on the level of a Jerry Springer episode. It lasted the entire time I was in the restroom. When I came out it was completely quiet and normal. I thought that was very odd but I went about my business. On the return end of my trip from Vegas we stopped at the same station. This time I stayed in the car while my 16 year old daughter and her bf went to buy some candy and use the bathroom at the AM/PM. Apparently the bathroom was closed for cleaning but my daughter was desperate and used it anyway to avoid an accident on the floor. When my daughter came out of the bathroom a lady began cursing at her, kicked her and her bf out of the store, then followed them out into the parking lot, threatened to stab them with a knife, and then came up and punched my daughter in the face. The kids told me about it when they got back to my car. I contacted the police and to their credit they came within 10 minutes, investigated right away and found the perp. However, they did not arrest her and said they did not believe the DA would take action since they were currently not prosecuting people that were picked up for shooting others!! read more

Just went by with my 6 year old needing to use the bathroom. The women was cleaning the bathroom. She said we needed to wait ok understandable. She was done and went outside, we stayed waiting. She comes back in and after 5-10 minutes I ask her if my daughter can use the bathroom. She starts to yell about liability etc. Then I ask how much longer? She yells I never have to work this shift so I don't know! Oh and it will be closed for the rest of the night!! I tell her she doesn't need to be so mean to a 6 year old needing to use the restroom. She yells go to the truck shop because I don't care! We start leaving and my poor 6 year old is crying by this point. But she decides to follow us outside to keep screaming at us. We drive off and go pump gas elsewhere and my daughter used the restroom. So sad how unhappy people can be, it made me so sad for this worker as well that things are so bad you take it out on a child. I will never stop here again. read more

Ok, people from CALIFORNIA. If you decide to go to Vegas, you better stop at Barstow. I already wrote a review a couple months ago, but this is getting ridiculous. Does anybody not read my reviews? I guess not. When I exited from the I-15, I saw a a lot of people waiting at Chevron and waiting to pay $3.109 for gas. What?! I drove to Arco and their price is $3.059 and NO ONE is there. I was in and out of that station before the person who waited at Chevron started to get out of their car. This location is just a block away and spending a few seconds to drive will save you 5 to 7 cents. Oh well, my gain is still my gain because no one goes here...lol. Their gas is cheap, and if that's all you're here for then ok. But their bathroom....is disgusting. I know that gas stations are not known for their amazing bathrooms but....do they even try to keep this one clean? There was graffiti all over, wet stuff (?) all over the ground, and it smelled like it had never been cleaned, ever. I recommend going anywhere else if you need to use the restroom. The gas pumps aren't much better (a couple didn't even work and their screens were so light you couldn't tell if it had accepted your card or not) but at least the gas is kind cheap. read more

Just tried to get gas here and the credit card reader wouldn't work. When I went inside to pay and told the attendant, she told me that she was getting ready to do paperwork and I'd have to wait for 10 minutes until she was done before I could get gas. It was late and cold and she was very abrupt. Not a fan of the customer service here. read more

We stop by this ARCO gas station which is right next to Barstow outlet. Their gas price is cheapest, service is very friendly, parking lot is huge and this place is very clean. I choose to always stop by this AM/PM when we pass by Barstow next time for gas, snack, and for the food mart. read more

Large station, never have had to wait at this station. Lots of parking. Huge food mart with lots of options for anything. Friendly gas attendants. They even have a car wash on site. Perfect stop for something quick and to fill up. read more

This location is perfect for fueling up during Vegas trips. It's a clean store, friendly staff, and excellent gas prices. For $1.50 each, we also picked up a couple of hot breakfast croissant sandwiches, which were very good. On another trip we picked up a hot chicken sandwich and a hot dog for $1.50 each. The gas may be cheaper, but don't make the mistake I did by asking for cash back on my debit card after filling my tank. After swiping my card, the clerk told me it was too late for a cashback debit transaction, but must have pocketed the cash because when I returned home, the debit transaction had been processed and the funds were taken from my account. read more
