I love this place on a normal day it's always fast and my drinks are always good, but this morning January 3rd at 6:08am... I happened to get Leila as a cashier in the drive thru, when I see her I KNOW she's going to have a nasty attitude, but this morning it was worse than normal. Shania is the most disrespectful cashier I have ever met. If you are having a bad day that is not a reason to treat a customer like shit. Absolutely NO MANNERS or etiquette. I asked for 3 blonde shots over ice and she said "THATS IT?!?" with a very passive-aggressive tone. I had 4 more drinks to order and once I gave her the rest of my order she did not say one word. I asked her what the total was and all she did was point at the screen and give me a dirty look. I waited for my drinks for 10 minutes and only 3 of the 5 came out. I woke up this morning after a long night of traveling and sleeping in the car and was absolutely ecstatic to get my SALTED CARMEL COLDBREW. I got the drink and start to enjoy the delicious beverage when to my dismay I spilled it all over. Distraught and saddened I drove back to Starbucks to repurchase my drink when I arrived at the window Alyssa was very saddened at my situation and gave me the drink for free. Visited 4/17 I never really rate restaurants, but boy was this experience awful. Did a mobile order and we were missing a plain bagel. My sister goes to the desk to ask where it is and she was ignored by every single person giving orders. I then go up and try to get attention and there was a worker named Krystal that gave major attitude and mumbled the words: "No plain bagel here. Sorry." Okay? Going to do something about it or you just expect me to pay for something I never received? So, I go wait in line for the register which took forever (around 15 minutes for 3 people in front of us). Go to the register and that girl was on it. She knew how to figure it out, unlike Krystal and got it fixed despite being obviously overworked. I agree with some of the previous poster's comments. The parking is awful! The downward blow of air when you walk in surprises for a second and I find myself ducking. That being said, the staff has always been pleasant and efficient and I find this a great stop on the Las Vegas Los Angeles drive. In my last review I said the restrooms were clean. Well............. they weren't clean this time. The men's room was dirty and the toilet seat looked like....... how do I say this.........looked like there was mud on it. I guess it's a "crap shoot" wether or not the restroom will be clean or dirty upon your arrival. I will say that when we went it was around noon and the place was much more busy then when we went in the morning. I guess it's to be expected that the restrooms would be dirtier. Came to this Starbucks for several reasons. 1) I want to grab a drink 2) instead of using the bathroom in the gas station we rather come here, since they are connected 3) just need to get out of the car So came here and have to say the bathroom was ok. Not too bad. You might have a few people waiting in line. But not like too crazy. It is one of those busy Starbucks because most people who come here are actually on a road trip to somewhere else. For the amount of traffic flow in Barstow between LA and Las Vegas, this Starbucks location is completely understaffed. My family and I have stopped at this location a handful of times before, but drive thru only. About two weeks ago, my mom and I decided to get down and go inside because she had to use the bathroom as well. Not the best idea we've had! First of all, we waited a ridiculous amount of time to place our order. The cashier looked a little overwhelmed as she was not only taking orders, but making drinks as well. Once again, very understaffed. Second of all, the barista who was calling the orders out was a bit rude. She would literally call the name of the customer and slide the drink across the counter and turn her back without making sure it got to the right person. Yes, I understand you are busy, but your customer service skills are lacking, sis! Third of all, this location is straight up dirty! There was trash everywhere. The floors, the tables, you name it. This place was a hot mess. Definitely because of memorial weekend but seriously trash was everywhere. The drinks were subpar and overloaded with ice. It was an off day for sure and wish they could dedicate one team member to making the place clean and comfortable. Trash cans were topping over and the one who started cleaning was just overwhelmed and ended just stopping for some reason. I haven't even mentioned the bathrooms. I was on a quick family run to Vegas around 5pm on a Saturday with that stores usual tourist sit down and drive thru rush. With 4 vehicles in front of us, the wait was only 8 mins which I beleive was acceptable as too their rush was greeted by the barista Carissa. Visited again this morning around 9am. Amazingly, I was the 1st in line, another 2 came in behind me, the drive-thru had it's usual back up of 1/2-dozen cars & the place was as noisy as a playground at recess from the 15 patrons carrying on inside. I don't know how the staff can take the noise level day by day. Although it was much faster, it's disappointing that the inside always looks dirty & disheveled. 4 staff were working the drive-thru this morning & the inside store had its standard 1 barista & 1 at the register. I'm here overnight again, so since tomorrow is Sat & hotel guests might want a place to hang out... they open at 4am 7-days/wk, so I'll hit them a bit earlier... maybe 7am. I was so stunned today that I didn't need to wait in line, I forgot to get ground beans... maybe I'll be lucky in the morning. 3* out of 3... like yesterday, -1 for the cleanliness level & -1 for the insane NOISE level. Due to the location right off the freeway exit/ entrance, the line is always long in the drive through. However going inside it's empty. I just wanted to leave a review because those baristas are extremely nice and helpful. They're drowning in orders but still take the time to calmly take your order, engage in pleasantries, and help you with the menu. Decided to give this place its best review. I live in town and since DD left I'm happy we at least have Starbucks to depend on for our morning needs. Despite the negative reviews, this place is awesome. As stated, since this is the only place in town to get coffee besides the small mom and pops and gas station coffee it gets pretty busy. However.. in the midst of its business, they never forget customer service. That's why I have to shout out Kimbery! Every time we come through the drive through she is nothing but sweet and she is the only one who delivers our goods in a bag which I deem to be the smallest yet sweetest gesture regardless the amount of baked goods we have. Update from my past review: worst Starbucks ever!! I'll make this short. They put so much cream in my bf's hot coffee that it made the coffee less than lukewarm. Their peach green tea tasted like I was drinking potpourri. And they had the driest croissant I've ever had at a Starbucks.
