CUTE CAT THEMED COFFEE SHOP!…read more There are 2 Battle Cat Coffee shops in AVL, however they are not exactly the same! I used to frequent this location a lot, and just recently re-visited after a long break. They have a great selection of pastries daily, and a yummy specialty drink menu that changes with the season. I quite like the coffee here, and it is definitely in my top 5 of AVL! There is a decent amount of seating, including bar type seating right by the baristas. Great place to study or get some work done. Baristas are always friendly to me! There is a small parking lot attached to the business, but I've never been unable to snag a spot. The only negative is that the bagels are DIY at a toaster... I don't come to a coffee shop to make my own bagel!!! After being handed a untoasted bagel with a container of butter and a plastic knife, I had to babysit my bagel at the toaster because I wasn't sure how long and at what setting to toast it at, since it isn't my toaster that I am used to. I'll stick to ordering pastries instead of bagels.

The BEST bakery I have been to in a very long time. We started out sharing a ham and cheese croissant. The ham and cheese was baked into the croissant. Light, flaky, and very delicious. I am surprised my husband let me have more than one bite. We ordered the quiche of the day and the one available every day. The ham and cheese was the quiche of the day. It was light, creamy, and very rich. The other quiche had spinach, feta, and tomatoes. It was equally delicious. Go and check them out. You will not be sorry. Go now.

When we first came in it was very peaceful and laid back, I am unfamiliar with coffee so I wasn't sure what to order and the person taking our order was very nice and helpful. They told me what was the most popular and I could see why! The coffee is amazing!!! I had my family with me, husband and 2 children, my younger son always wants coffee so I asked them to make something for him and he loved it! He was ready to go and wanted to carry his own coffee but on the way out he dropped it and lost his marbles over it. I told him we would get another one and then a very polite man came and asked what he had and would get it for us, my husband refused his offer but he insisted, come to find out it was the owner! He has his coffee remade and it just left me completely in awe, simple small gestures like this are so wholesome to me. We couldn't be more thankful to you sir! Our ride back is so much more peaceful because of you and the kindness you showed when a couple parents were losing it was so very appreciated, thank you again!
