I've been there twice. The first time was a great experience. The guy did my toenails and he did an amazing job and charged me $80 which I was fine with because of how good he did I came back again because I was so happy with the first time I didn't get the same person and it was a total shit show Adriana was very rude. She told me I couldn't do acrylics on my toes and then I asked her to again she gave me attitude and did it anyway and did a horrible job not all of the nails are the same shape or length they're not even like I asked her for the acrylic made me bleed while I was trying to talk to her. She extremely rude and said "I'm just trying to focus OK" let alone the acrylic is so thick applied on my toe. My pinky one already came off three days later and charged me $80 plus a tip. horrible experience if I go there again I'm requesting the guy if not refuse to go there. read more

Regardless of the quality of service this business took $100 cash for a gift certificate and then proceded to put and 8 week experation on it. The friend I gave it to used the certificate at the 4 week mark and was unable to do so for another 6 weeks. The balance was sixty dollars unused. The owner refused to honor any remaining balance and made no effort for a compromise. So in my view took money and did not deliver the service. She kept $60 for doing nothing......just shameful. Since the service was $40 dollars my friend and I advised her that she just lost $80 for the next visit and hundreds if not thousands for future services we would have had done. read more

I could just walk in and that was good. My mail girls did a nice job, problem they polish was so old and they keep diluting it with acetone, it took hrs to dry. Ridiculous. My adult daughter and I went in to Star Nails for pedicures. My daughter had a man do her pedicure, he was polite, kind and very good. he gave her a very nice long massage and the pedicure was excellent. The woman named Adrianna that did my pedicure was one of the most rude, abrasive, and unkind people I've come a crossed for any kind of service work. I went in with a gift certificate. The owners would not honor it as it was expired. Date it was wrote was 10/04/2023. Date of expiration was Dec 2023. Now according to NRS 598.0925 consumers are protected from this very practice. "Companies are prohibited from imposing an expiration date or a service fee on a gift card for the first 18 months". Yet when i tried to explain that they became rude, talked over me and wouldn't listen to what i was trying to explain about the law. I left the business and told them i was going to report them. The owner Sandy wouldn't even take the time to come out of the back room but made her employee handle it. After I left the girl walked out of the business and wrote my license plate down. I made no threats but only claimed I was going to report them. When i got home i called and tried to talk to Sandy but the same girl just hung up on me. It really has nothing to do with the certificate at this point but how rude I was treated. Sandy, you just lost me and my wife's business as well as all the others I am going to talk to about your bad practices. Currently, there are 3 more of your good customers who will no longer return. I'm just going to keep going. Maybe someday you will care about how you treat people. read more

My sister and I happened across Star Nails on a recent visit and happy we did. We were both laughing and enjoying our conversation with our nail techs for the nearly two hours we were there. I don't know if I've ever had such an amazing hand and foot massage (and I've had a lot). Their massage chairs all look new and the place is sparkly clean. Give them a try if you haven't. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It was the worst experience that I have ever had getting a pedicure. The pedicure was so basic for a price tag of $40! No massage, no scrub, no mask but the worst part was Adrienne who did the pedicure. She acts like she is mad at the world. She has no business working in customer service. If you look at other reviews, others have commented about her behavior. I have never seen a stranger be so mean and hostile. Very unfriendly and downright rude treatment. Not only her responses verbally but also her harsh and rough movements of my feet and legs like she hated her job and hated people. She never looked at me or spoke to me and I tried to make friendly conversation and every response was downright rude. I could not wait for it to be over and to get out of there - never to return again. I don't believe that they sterilize the equipment as the emery board was white with skin. She tried to say it was cotton - obviously she thinks that I am stupid. When I said I don't want to get fungus, she stated that you only get fungus if something is wrong in your body which is not true at all. The place was dirty and customer service was horrible. If I get fungus from this place, I am going to call the health department which I should do anyway. read more

Sandy does a fantastic job on my nails. I have had my nails done since I was 16, and I have always been a loyal customer. I just recently moved to Mesquite from CA, and had to say goodbye to all my nail, foot, hair, eyebrow, massage, and Botox people who had all become my friends over the years. Yes, I am high maintenance but that is what retirement is all about. So I was really picky in finding someone who knew what I wanted and was able to "gel" with. Excuse my pun. Sandy is great. She saw that my nails were thin, so instead of just giving me a gel set, she added some acrylic to my nails to make them stronger and last longer. I come every three weeks, and I still have polish on and my nails intact. My nails got so long because they never broke. I have to have her file them down now when I come in. I was in this small town called Mesquite over weekend for business; and coming from major Metropolitan cities such as Vegas, LA, and the Bay Area - I had no idea what to expect. I found this place last minute as I was passing through Mesquite Blvd. Found their number on Yelp to schedule an appointment and Kenny said they could take me right away, which was perfect! Because where I'm from, scoring a walk-in last minute is unheard of!! And I badly needed to do something about my neglected hands and toes. As soon as I stepped in I was greeted by Kenny and was informed to choose color, despite all their Pedicure Massage Chairs being taken except for the last one at the end. They were happy to accept me as I urgently requested a Gel Mani/ Pedi combo pronto! Kenny got my spa pedicure water ready for me at a moments notice. Sandy was the tech that did my pedicure & manicure. I'm extremely particular about how I like my nails shaped and sculpted (baby almonds) but surprisingly, Sandy pulled it off like a champ! I opted for a french ombré gel full set mani , and I could not have been happier with Sandy's work! She is so meticulous, clean, thorough, and a very good listener who takes great pride in her work.
