I am already in love with The View Salon. As a recent transplant to the area, I was concerned about going to a new stylist. Not only was Jessica competent and fun, the salon offer all sorts of services (for women and men) such as nails, etc., etc. They also have a great assortment of hair products for sale. I've been wanting to grow my hair longer and she talked me into it and said "Hey, it's almost Winter, if we decide we don't like it, we'll chop it off for the Spring!", lol, which was just such a great way to help me get where I really wanted to be. The ladies were very nice and sweet but the nail job was not good. I had to pay $85 for my gel nails that are already chipping and they missed parts of my nail. I've only had them for 4 days. Then having to pay $3 for using debit card, that $85 was not worth it at all read more

Don't bother coming here for eyelash extensions, unless if you want your eyes glue shut together and plugged eyelashes. The worst experience in my life! Also it's pretty pricey for just a classic set. I paid $90 for a poor job and ruined eyelashes. read more

1st off, very clean building, neat cleaned up staff, prices are not bad. BUT 1st - came in for a haircut, older lady helped me and she was rude! made me wait for an extra 15 minutes - after my appointment time- as she rummaged around and offered to go get everyone lunch ( WHILE I THE CUSTOMER WAS SITTING IN FRONT OF HER WAITING) finally another girl said to her, you better get to your customer first. then she came over to me and rudely spat out, "Im ready" like she had been waiting on me! - haircut was professional and done well, customer service just awful. 2nd chance - Came here a second time for a Pedicure and left feeling unsatisfied with the whole pedicure. and lone behold i picked up some type of foot bacteria!!! it took me 3 MONTHS to rid this fungus/bacteria! my feet REEKED. and i have NEVER had stinky feet in my life. i threw away my shoes after trying to bleach them. alcohol ect. Do NOT get a pedicure here!! obviously it was not sanitary!!! i am NOT coming back. read more

Chelsey Tichenor cut and colored my hair here once when I needed it done last minute. She listens to what you want to do with your cut and color, and does it. Can you ask for anything better in a hairdresser? This girl is a rockstar, and she is great at coloring blondes! I got so many compliments on how great it looked right after I left the salon to go out. read more

Not a bad place to get your hair cut at all. When I cant get a hold of my stylist, I make a trip down to The View for a cut and conditioner treatment. Prices are affordable, staff is nice and I haven't had a bad cut yet! :) Cross your fingers haha. Keep it up ladies! read more

Went to get my hair cut, I asked for no more than 3 inches cut off and she took 8! My hair was down to my butt! It looks so ridiculous. It's extremely uneven. My bangs, aren't even on the sides. It honestly looks like a toddler cut my hair and this lady has been doing this for 25 years. She was extremely rude. She looks at my hair and said 'wow your hair is long, do you want me to wash it' um well yeah! Kinda what I'm paying for. She didn't wash the back of my scalp she kept banging my head on the sink. Was ruff brushing out my hair. Didn't even get close to the haircut I wanted. Her name is Diane and would NOT recommend her to cut anyone's hair. I went back a second time to have Cheryl redo it. It's still a little even, but not her fault she had to work with extremely choppy hair and extremely uneven. I plan on going back in a few month when it grows back to have Cheryl do a bit of touch ups so it's not too short. When I called to make the second appointment the lady was also rude and did a laugh when I told her I was very unhappy. Diane, you ruined my hair that I have been growing for 5 years, thank you. If you don't know how to cut hair and have a poor piss attitude then maybe find another job!!! read more

The staff was super nice! They did a great job. I got a pedicure and my toes looked fabulous.

Made appointments for me (pedi) and husband (3 acrylics -guitar player). Don't remember technicians name (male, young, black hair). He was 20 minutes late, no acknowledgement or apology. Worst pedi in my long life-cracked and chipped within 24 hours (we had left town), acrylics were awful, came off in two days. Wrote email on their website and left two phone messages for a manager with no reply or response. Would only give poor review cuz no communication with the shop! Frustrating! Not cheap, either. read more

I went to this salon and thought that it seemed very classy and upscale. I asked to have my hair colored with highlights. It looked GREAT from the front, but the next time I went to get my hair colored at a different place, they asked me WHY I had the front with highlights and the back of my head just one solid color!!! What the heck? I had NO IDEA that I got a 1/2 head of highlights and the back was just solid color. I think I got ripped off!! BEWARE!! I never went back and won't go back!!! read more

This is the second time visiting this salon while on vacation in Mesquite. Last time wasn't such a good experience but thought I'd give it another try. Called a week ahead to book a mani/pedi and got right in. When I arrived, I was greeted and Ginger and Heidie who were so awesome and friendly and I thought oh good, it's going to be a great 2 hours. After receiving a beverage, I was taken back and seated in one of the many pedicure bath chairs right up against the wall. Because it was the day after Christmas, not many customers were in the salon so the place was pretty empty. By the end of my appointment everyone had cleared out except 2 people. The manicurist, (I will call her the lady from here out because she never introduced herself and wasn't very friendly) let me soak in cool water for about 20 minutes without checking on me. Needless to say I was a bit cold the whole time. When the lady returned, she acted like she didn't want to be there. She grabbed my foot and started doing the routine. When she finished a few seconds of filing the dead skin on my heal, she looked up at me and went "whew that was a workout" and turned on the fan next to her making it more cold than before. It wasn't even that bad since I'd been wearing shoes for the past 3 months but she made me feel like I was intruding on her life or something. The fan blowing at full speed made the room even colder for me but I didn't dare mention anything else - I still had a manicure on the menu. We chatted and I heard all about how she had worked the past 6 days and didn't feel like she even got time off. The lady did a nice job with the painting of my toes and my manicure but the massage part - the part you pay a lot extra for pampering was horrible and rushed. When it came time to pay I was informed that there is a surcharge to use a credit card and could be up to 6% of the purchase. That would have been nice to know previously but it just cut into the tip for the lady. I should have not left any tip since the experience was not up to what it should have been but she did paint my nails. Will not be visiting this salon again since 2 times to give it shot was enough! PS - the lady's name was Diane (found after reading the other YELP reviews) Yes she needs to retire and not work at this salon - people - she's getting you bad reviews!! read more
