I got a French pedicure and the lady didn't even put a second coat on. Also, they are supposed to give you a choice for the color. She just painted on the clear color, no clear coat or final coat. She was pretty rude the entire time and they didn't even offer the drying table. The white part of the nail didn't even cover the top part of my nails and looks awful. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The price was ridiculous too. Horrible experience and would never return. The only reason these people stay in business is bc it's the only nail salon in Eagle. Next time it will definitely be worth making a drive to Edward's, cos they'll definitely never be seeing my money again. Hands down the worst salon I've ever visited. read more

I wish there was a zero star. A few years ago, I tried to get in for a pedi, only to be turned away by the rude guy . . . decided I would never go back. Today, I felt like giving them another chance (thinking last time he was just having a bad day). I walked in, was asked what I wanted, asked for a pedicure, and was told in the same not so nice voice "don't have time." I walked out, and thought to myself that no one deserves to be spoken to like that . . . walked back in and said (to the rude guy) "why does your sign say walk-ins welcome, when you're always so rude to them?" Needless to say, I'll never return. There are two places in Edwards, Natural Nails and Chippen Nails, that are so nice and welcoming, and if they don't have time, they'll offer to schedule an appointment. I've been going to Star Nails for five years. Jack is the best and always kind and has great attention to detail. I will not be going there anymore. The last THREE appointments I have made have not been honored. Today I show up at ten for my appointment and was told, yet again, by Brian the owner that it would be at least an hour. "Sorry." I have been coming to this place for 18 yrs. I am so upset now, I will never return. For the last few yrs it seemed like the couple running it are done with the business. They apparently just don't care about the quality of the work. If u need to go in, ask for the son, he is great! But if u r like me, the husband starts and then his wife finishes the job. I cannot believe that the reviews I am reading are about the same Star Nails that I was a customer of for 25+ years. I started using Brian when his sister opened the Lovely Nails in Edwards. Then, Brian opened Star Nails in Eagle. I was always most pleased with both Julie and Brian and appointments were always honored. Is everyone certain that this place was not sold to someone else? I moved from Eagle in September 2021 and let me tell you, if you want to have problems getting a decent manicure and pedicure even for $100, just move to Miami where they don't understand a word you are saying nor you understand them. Not only was he rude but he told me I never booked it as he looked at a notebook pad not a calendar or planner of any sorts. I had called two weeks earlier to book. So me and my friend went to get our nails done before vacation. We scheduled two weeks in advance only for them to totally disregard our appointment after waiting there for almost an hour. I stopped in to get a pedicure and was sadly disappointed. Only 2 minutes into the pedicure I knew this was going to be a waste of time and money. To start the water as cold. Then, they skipped filing my nails. The massage was so light that it wasn't a massage. When I left you couldn't tell that I'd just received a pedicure. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because the polish job came out nice. I should have just asked for a polish change. read more

My wife goes to Star Nails atleast once a month. I wasn't sure why, so one day I decided to join her for a pedicure. Man, am I glad I did. I know it's not the manliest thing to do, but it was cool to hang out with my girl doing something she does on a regular basis. The pedicure felt amazing and after a long week of work on my feet it's just what I needed. After, I got a tutorial on just how they do nails and the staff is top-notch and experts in their field. They have cool tools and make the process seem effortless. Highly recommend for an afternoon date with your lady. read more

Terrible on the phone when calling to make an appointment; even worse when I walk in. Although sign in window says "walk ins welcome", not true! There can be one person in a chair & two employees sitting around & nobody attempts to accomodate me in any way. Wish there was an alternative close by. Been going to Bryan and Julie for 14 yrs!!!!! Always great! Bryan is the best in the valley for gel nails. I never go anyplace else.
