Westfield shopping center with all its shops and restaurants is a short walk away. You get what you pay for. This place holds no luxury, but it serves as a place to rest your head. You won't walk away feeling spoiled, but it works for one or two nights. It could be cleaner and it has no lift. Breakfast is simple and of the cereal, Tea and toast variety. The breakfast host did offer warm croissants, though!

I've stayed in this hotel a few years back and was really happy with it, so when I was planning a…read moretrip to London with my friends this year, where we'd stay was a no brainer :) Rooms (we had room for 3 people) might be small for some, but I didn't think something bigger was needed, since we were there to explore the London, not the hotel room. Our room was cleaned everyday, we had a mini fridge, kettle with tea, coffee, sugar and cream, TV and a fan in the room as well. Bathroom a bit smaller, but nothing you can't handle. We were offered room no. 3 and 16. In 3 we spent the first night and the rest of our stay we were in room 16, since we chose to agree to switch the rooms. The staff kindly moved our luggage, so we didn't have to worry about it. In room no. 3 we had wifi connection, but in room no. 16 we didn't. The problem was solved immediately when we asked the staff about it and were given passwords to a different wifi :) The staff is very friendly and always helpful. As for us, we enjoyed our breakfasts - cereals, toasts, croissant, boiled egg, butter, cheeses, marmalades, nutella, tea, coffee, orange juice or just water. Hotel is just across the street from O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. There is also a lovely park, Westfield shopping centre and the Shepherd's Bush underground station are just 5 min walk from the hotel. Also I'd recommend the Italian place right next to the hotel :) Next time, I go to London, I'll definitely choose Grantly Hotel again.

With mixed feelings, this hotel wasn't the worst I had stayed at but here are notes from a 2 night…read morestay: The Pros ~ Location: Safe, convenient and very walkable to a ton of restaurants and convenience/grocery stories. ~ Public Transport: With a bit of walking, there are nearby train stops and plenty of buses ~ Bed bugs: Didn't see any while here, so that's a plus plus ~ Bed: Quite comfy The Cons ~ Hotel: found it to be a bit odd but didn't stay at the actual hotel 65 but at one of the buildings across from the check in/lobby. Overall, building was old with a slight musty smell. ~ Walls and doors: paper thin. Can practically hear our noisy neighbors yell at one another on a Friday night. Also, my room faced the street, so heard the constant sirens all night. ~ Room size: Reallllllllly small. Please note if you end up staying at the new century inn building like I did, the stairs are extremely narrow and there is no lift for those who have big/heavy luggage. For the room, it's quite cramped with no a/c. ~ Bathroom: also pretty small. For visualization, you can sit on the toilet, wash your hands at the tiny sink, and if your legs are long enough, touch the shower floor. ~ Bed pillows: very flat and no fluff Would I stay here again? If strapped for budget or limited on lodging choices - yes. If not; definitely would opt for some place a bit nicer but still in this neighborhood.

The staff did not bother fix it. The room was ok, it had tea and coffee facilities and a hair dryer, TV and was a decent size with a wardrobe to hang clothes. The toiletries were really poor quality and in tiny sachets so O would recommend bringing your own soap. The breakfast was not good. Just white toast, jam and butter, fruit yogurt, a bunch of sugary cereals (no healthy options like wheetabix or anything) and juice. No fruits, brown bread, eggs or deli meat either, so not much to be expected. It's also only from 7-9am. There is no elevator, just narrow stairs. I had to lug my heavy suitcase up 4 flights. Overall, super basic, poor breakfast, horrible broken shower but convenient for the Olympia. The nearest station os Shepards Bush, but Hammersmith is also not too far.

But the place is 2 & maybe 3 star at best. My single is about 10x12'. No desk to work on, shower has only hot water & my room faces the noisy road with a window that does not close all the way. The wifi pretty much does not work. Except for sleeping, I don't think I will be in the room very much. Update after 7 days - location is great - short walk fro Holland Park & a little longer walk to Kensington Palace. I've gotten use to all the problems except for the wifi. It does not work.

The bathrooms were communal for the floor, but they were clean and I only had to wait to use the restroom once, at which I used the restroom off of the lobby. The hotel manager was very kind and took time to talk to us and get to know our story. He was very kind to tourists. While I wasn't a huge fan of the communal bathroom situation, I would definitely visit again.
