Platinum Elite Marriott member, paid for extra night before main booking as coming in from a US red-eye flight at 8 in the morning. Called hotel the night before as we boarded plane, we won't be checking in tonight but hold as we'll be there tomorrow morning. Yes sir. We see that. No problem. Fly through the night, arrive, and its "your room is not ready, check in is at 3pm" What? I've paid for extra night, last night, confirmed two weeks ago and last night. It took 10 minutes for them to figure it out. Again, I'm a Platinum Elite loyal traveller, but no upgrade, no welcome, and no room I'd paid for without a fight! Horrible start.
Served its purpose for a couple of days in London, but won't be back. Will spend more little more to get much nicer cleaner room closer to an Underground station. Lots of other Marriott hotels in central London to choose from!
