It's fine. On a block crowded with other hotels, it's probably not your best option, but it's fine.
My son and I stayed here for three nights on a recent trip to England. We booked a double room but they put us in the four person family room with a double bed and bunk beds. I paid £366 ($492) for the three nights.
Pros:
It's very clean (though my son said I should mention there was a cigarette burn hole in his bedspread).
Friendly front desk worker.
Excellent location. Beautiful, quiet yet lively neighborhood. Two blocks from Paddington station and two blocks from Hyde Park, and a block from the excellent Victoria Pub.
We arrived in the morning and were able to leave our bags with the front desk worker. Check in was any time after 2pm.
Cons:
No view from the window in our room, just a claustrophobic bunch of roof tiles and other apartment windows.
No elevator. We were on the second floor so not a big deal, but I feel bad for the other guests on higher floors.
They advertise themselves as a bed and breakfast but no breakfast is served.
They advertise toiletries are provided, but this amounted to hand soap by the bathroom sink and an unlabeled bottle of liquid soap in the shower.
No hotel lobby or any place to hang out other than your room. read more
