I had a rough travel night with endless flight delays, and right after I booked this hotel, I got notice my flight was pushed back an entire extra day. I called the hotel immediately -- literally minutes after booking -- to explain the situation and cancel. They still refused to refund me. I travel through London often and was hoping to find a new go-to spot, but this experience made that an easy no. Things happen when you travel -- what matters is how a hotel handles it. Sadly, their customer service was cold and completely unhelpful. Won't be back and definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff, and check-in was a breeze. Room was spotlessly clean, but about the size of a train compartment. The bathroom is almost too small to navigate. One small, flat pillow is really not enough for an adult. The nice big windows that allowed in light and fresh air made really helped the situation from becoming claustrophobic. Location is fantastic but the tiny room is going to drive you insane should you stay for longer than one night. read more

Okay, let's be honest, this is not a five star hotel, but this place exceeded my expectations and I would happily stay here again - so a 5 full stars.. My mom and I were coming in for a night from Paris via the Eurostar and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a place, since we were already paying for a night in our Paris apartment. I paid 99 pounds for a two single bed room with private bathroom. The first great thing about this hotel is it's location. It's right across the street from St. Pancras and King's Cross stations. It was great that we didn't have to waste time getting from the train to the hotel and vice versa on the way back. It's also great because Kings Cross has a tube station making it super convenient to get around. Check in was easy, and the lady at reception was very lovely. To our surprise our room was ready so we could go in, drop our bags and freshen up before hitting the town. The room was tiny, but clean and had a nice flat screen TV, a closet and a kettle for making tea (and instant coffee). Breakfast is included so in the morning they will serve you up a full English breakfast or a continental breakfast depending on what you chose, along with all the toast you could want. They stored out bags for us for the day after checking out and were nice enough to let us add things to it after I did a bit too much shopping to handle carrying around. Oh, I forgot to mention, but wifi is included in the room rate, which is awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting an inexpensive spot in London, and it really is convenient if your are coming in via Paris. read more

Chose his solely for the proximity to St Pancras station and it didn't disappoint. The price and convenience suited the otherwise lackluster decor and amenities but it was clean and the staff was helpful. The room is small but that was a non issue for us. read more

My husband and I landed very early so we dropped off out luggage and wandered around town untill 1PM, the time we were told to return to check in. We arrived at 1 and were given our key and walked up the endless stairs to the top floor, looking forward to a long overdue nap, only to find the room still a mess from the previous guests. Dirty towels and dishes, used bedding, etc. We went back downstairs and were told to just drop off our stuff and it would be about an hour. So I am now slouched against the wall in the hallway waiting because I am too exhausted to do much else but sitting on some stranger's recently used bedding is not appealing. Edited: An hour and a half later I am still waiting for them to start cleaning the room. read more

Clean. That's about all I can say. The stairs are narrow and hard to navigate with luggage. The rooms are tiny, I'm talking 9m2 or less. No toilet, no shower in room. Shower and toilet are down the hall and communal. Heater didn't work in our room. All things told I'm pretty disappointed. I would consider this more of a hostel if not for the price. read more

B&B in King's Cross/Bloomsbury on a quiet side street across from St Pancras where you can hop on the Eurostar to Paris. It is also close to the Piccadilly Line which takes you to Heathrow and to many London sites. Our room was comfortable and sparkling clean and the English breakfast was generous and made to order. If you don't want to trek outside in the morning for breakfast I suggest you ask for a room in the main building since there are also rooms available in a building across the street. Also there are no elevators and the stairs are pretty narrow but you can request a room on the main or on the first floor (which would be the second floor in the US.) Our ensuite room was down a few steps from the ground floor and faced a quiet courtyard. This is a family owned hotel and the staff is friendly and helpful. We were so surprised when they opened the kitchen and made breakfast for us even though we were leaving at the crack of dawn! read more

This is a great place to stay as it is so close to Kings Cross Station and central London and it's good value for a city hotel (we paid £65 for both of us, including breakfast). The rooms are small but pleasantly furnished and with a tiny en-suite as well. Many of the rooms are actually across the road in a different building from the Reception desk. If you have a bedroom on that side you need to go over the road in the morning for breakfast. There is a small dining room near the Reception and quite a hearty breakfast on offer with several choices, some vegetarian ones as well. Nice friendly staff too. read more

Stayed here one night due to its being thisclose to st. Pancras to catch a 7 am Eurostar train to Paris. Nice enough area there are a couple of pubs, a Chinese restaurant , grocery and a real good fish and chips shop North Sea nearby. Room itself is just OK. Small, very spartan, and clean. This little hotel is an excellent find steps away from King's Cross-St. Pancras. I booked online knowing that I would be arriving late and needed something close to the station. It shares a little side street with some places that look and smell like you'd want to turn back, but don't; this is a sweet little oasis. The tiny hallways lead to tiny rooms, no lift, plenty of street noise. But it's all clean and well maintained, and the staff go out of their way to make everyone happy. Breakfast is a bustling scene with super generous offerings. No frills, lots of character, good lighting, decent WiFi, private. read more

We stayed in the summer, on the hottest day of the year. Londoners loved it, but we were expecting something cooler. Thankfully they gave us a fan, which droned out the sound of the kids in the school yard behind the room. We stayed in the rooms across the street. Small but OK room. This is nicely located near Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, we walked to the British Museum. Food nearby, nice pubs away from the main drag. Breakfast was big, overflowing plates. read more

This is a great B&B just steps from Kings Cross/St. Pancras Underground and train stations. There is nowhere in London you can't get to easily from here. The British Library is right across Euston Road and Regents Park is a reasonable walk further up the road. The British Museum is also in comfortable walking distance. The staff are attentive and quick to take care of your needs and the room prices are good. Breakfast is standard English or a good continental selection. I almost hate to let the world know about the Alhambra, as I would want to have room availability on a return trip, but they deserve the good review more. There is also a great selection of restaurants in the area, including a family pub next door to a launderette in case you need to catch up on wash. Definitely would come back again. read more

To make it short - great place to stay. Rooms are small, but that is nothing exeptional in London. They are being cleaned every day and apart from getting a bit too hot in the summer, there is nothing to complain about. Comfy bed, small but ok bathroom, mirror and mini-table, TV, free wifi, electric water boiler, tea, instant coffee and milk, mugs and glasses - all there. Breakfast is just GREAT. You have a choice - either continental breakfast (croissant, toast, natural yoghurt, milk, all sorts of cereal, cheese, jam, butter, ...) or a traditional english one - freshly cooked in an open kitchen. Served with tea, coffee or even hot chocolate. They even bring you everything you need right to your table, you just sit down and have a pleasant start of your day. Reception is open 24/7 and all of the staff is friendly and ready to help. Only thing I could complain about is the wifi - it was down half of the time. But if you're not travelling on bussines needing to do some work(in that case it could be rather annoying), it is no big deal, your facebook will be there even of you do not check it every five minutes :D read more

Excellent value for money! I have spent two nights at this hotel and it's location is perfect, only 3 minutes from Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations. It's a very friendly and welcoming police, clean, tidy well maintained. It's certainly not the top hotel in London, but value for money it is far better than most I have used, and the family-run atmosphere really makes it a homely place. The room I had was more than adequate and the en-suite was very clean with good towels, soap and shower gel provided (not always the case in less expensive hotels I have noticed recently). Tea & coffee and the private safe in the room is a nice extra to have. Breakfast was a tad chaotic as it was very very busy, but the service was friendly and quite efficient. The staff really seem to like working here, and even remembered my order on the 2nd morning i went down for breakfast. I will be staying here again. Only downside is the 3% charge for using credit card or foreign bank debit cards, I'd give 5 stars but for this. read more

We only spent one night here, which would be the max I would recommend for anyone. We were leaving on the Eurostar in the morning and got in from Leicester where we had a party to attend in the late afternoon. So that was all we needed was a bed for the night. At first glance it was pretty horrifying, a big open window right on the street, I didn't expect my Ipad to make it through the night, so I tried to hide stuff while we walked to the British Museum. Nothing was lost and the bed was comfortable, we awakened early and went to the train station. On the Eurostar we got stuck at a tabel with four people, one of them a large Australian (and his wife) with gigantic legs. Wasn't the most comfortable 48 hours of my life, between the alhambra and the eurostar. Then on the way back it happened again, although with normal sized people. In retrospect my wife and I should have sat across from each other instead of next to each other, so we could have mingled feet with a legal spouse instead of an Australian stranger of dubious repute. read more

I stayed here recently and it was something out of this world to be honest, it was by far one of the best hotels i've stayed in with great service and lovely rooms. WORTH IT! read more
