I'd been meaning to try this place after hearing about the legendary chicken burgers.
I was buying for my housemates so we stocked up on several serves of chips, grilled flake, and two serves of salt and pepper squid. The bill came to just over $40, and we got our pick of a litre of soft drink for spending so much.
The grilled flake was soft and delicious; it comes with lemon and tartar sauce and is perfect with some salad for lunch. I also recommend the squid: even though its deep-fried it doesn't taste rubbery at all, and the spicy batter is very tasty.
The venue is nice and big with long wooden benches and seats, theres a limited soft drink selection in the fridges, and surprisingly a large collection of Serendipity ice cream.
Order ahead or be prepared to wait because the grill gets packed on weeknights and the service is a little overcome. read more
