This movie theater is located on the first floor (L1) of the Pacific Place plaza shopping mall…read more Pacific Place is one of the high end malls in Hong Kong comparable to IFC and ICC. The move price tickets are commensurate with the atmosphere. Tickets for 2D movie run 130 hkd and if you buy online there is a 10 hkd service fee. Definitely not cheap. I usually buy my tickets online because I like to know where I'm sitting. The process for printing your tickets is quick and efficient (just a swipe of the credit card used). The movie theater itself is nice. There is pretty good food options a full stocked bar. Each screening room is fairly compact so as long as you aren't sitting too far in the front you will have a good seat. The seats are wide and comfortable. The screen is big and makes for a pleasurable viewing experience. I have seen a number of movies here and prefer it over the movie theater at Times Square or IFC.

And the next thing you know, we are buying tickets to see Ralph Breaks the Internet (WTF?) lol. IFC is a high-end shopping mall in Central, Hong Kong, so this cinema would not be anything less impressive. The tickets were $120 each, it is more expensive than other cinemas in Hong Kong. There is a full wine bar inside the lounging area. The washroom is nice and clean. There is a concession stand selling popular Asian snacks (squid balls, boneless wings, etc.) The best was the sweet caramel popcorn, I can easily eat a large lol. The only con at Palace was the size of the 'big screen', it is quite small. Nonetheless, the leather reclining seats were very comfortable. We picked seats for the very back row in House 1, and there was plenty leg room. It was like sitting on the back row but with the leg room of front row seats ;) Travel notes: You can easily get to IFC Mall via MTR Hong Kong Station

This is really a 3.5 but there aren't a lot of choices for theaters in the Central area…read more What I like: -Central location in IFC mall -Nice bathrooms -Seats are leather What I don't like: -Expensive AF. Not sure if it's Hollywood + being in the center of HK, but $300HK for 2 people to see The Justice League? Ouch, my wallet -Theater is small so if there's a popular release, it'll be hard to get tickets -Sometimes I feel they only show action films in 3D, making it more expensive. As they also charge for 3D glasses, it's best to bring your own (or keep the ones you bought from them for next time.) Other notes: -If you want a unique, non-western movie snack, they offer cuttlefish balls. -There's also a small bar here, but not sure if you can bring your drink into the theater.

What a clean movie theater, and a great way to end our Spring break! End Game!!! at 8:30am. With multiple screens, you can catch all the first run movies. And the matter of fact, I was here twice in a week! The theatre is a little older but well maintained and quite spacious. After midnight, there are still handful of restaurants opens for a quick snack within walking distance.

Especially when regular tickets (excluding first showing) cost at least twice as much. Perhaps my review is a little biased, considering I recently watched a movie at an AMC theatre in San Diego, USA which had much wider armchairs that reclined, with leg rests that lifted up with the press of a button. The first class of movie seats! Too bad that don't have that here in HK. This morning, I found the seats surprisingly small. Narrow and a little hard. Not very comfortable. I also noticed that the large movie screen was slightly curved at the left and right edges.

Not cheap.. even In Hong Kong dollars. Compared to movie theatres at home the seating seems a little old. And the IMAX theatre screen was the same as our normal screens. So I was a little letdown with the experience. A fun night though at the movies. Especially being able to go late at night. Adds to a fun vacation.

This cinema is located inside the Moko mall…read more The place looked new but I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have stadium style seating like in the States. However, I did like the snacks that they served at the concession stand. They had chocolate flavored and sour cream flavored popcorn. You can get half and half in the box. I also got curry fish balls. Quality of the food was pretty good.

I remember when I was young (wayyyy too young), this cinema opened and offered membership to all movie lovers, for a very small annual fee. I got the membership thanks to my dad, and naturally this was the place I went to, when I ever asked a girl out for a movie first time in my life (it was Miyazaki's Whisper of the Heart, or 耳をすませば / 夢幻街少女, in 1995). But it's more than just memory. The cinema is conveniently located in Yau Ma Tai, but also quite interestingly hidden inside an estate, like it is never intended for general public. It has since become my go-to place for non-mainstream movies, whether it is local or foreign. I still remember a lot of movies I watched here quite specifically. Breathless is one of them, Paris, je t'aime was another one. I must admit that, to many of your eyes, they are still pretty mainstream. And for the other half of you, you may on the other hand think I'm pretty pretentious or being pseudo-intellectual. Don't get my wrong, I like Hollywood movies as much as the guy next to me, but once a while you want to see some movies that "break the formula", and in Cinematheque Broadway you can find them available, all year round.

My only complaint about this theater is how the theaters are separated. They're split between the 6th, 8th and 10th floors of The One. I wish they were just all on one floor. Besides that, I would definitely recommend catching a flick here.

Although they are located in different floors, the theaters are all conveniently located next to the escalators. And for popular movies like Jurassic World, they have multiple theaters showing it, so I have options to watch it at 8:00pm, 8:30pm, 9:00pm, 9:40pm... so flexible that it sounds like you can just walk in and there will be seats available. For smaller theaters, there are a few more perks too. Even row E (fifth row) is never too close to the screen. Actually I'd even say row E was perfect. Less people getting in the theater late, too. The sound system was great. 3D effect was okay, as I was never a big fan of it anyway. But most surprisingly, the vibration effect on the seats (which only available every alternate row) was great. You can definitely feel the immersion when the dinosaurs making big steps on the ground (and it does simulate real-life experience too, right? when you have heavy vehicles passing by, you feel the vibration on the ground). Anyway, I'd definitely prefer to watch movies in smaller theaters now. IMAX is great, but doesn't worth the money nor the time fighting for the perfect timeslot and perfect seats.

This is a Broadway Cinema that's situated in the Tsuen Wan Plaza, its a small location with around 4 houses and the waiting area will tell you that this is a neighborhood do; not the local imax. The cinema has been renovated as of recent and the general feel is quite up to date. The reason why I keep coming here? Free parking is available with cinema tickets- and if you watch anything that starts after 10:30 you are almost guaranteed a seat. this is a major bonus especially if that particular film is a sell out at other locations and you are having trouble securing good seats. The further advantage of this location lies in the fact that it is filled with different restaurants and I always make it a habit of eating there before I go to the cinema. This combined convenience makes it difficult for me to choose anywhere else to go and watch a film.
