Budtenders are friendly and easygoing. There to help out but happy to leave me alone while I browse. I don't love when budtenders at other dispensaries hover and check in too often it stresses me out because there's usually so much to look at and different shops have vastly different inventories. Wouldn't shop here if this was the last store left in town They don't honor their Veterans or the discounts that they should be receiving. Three times my husband was denied his Veterans discount with valid ID online & at pickup. Go down the road to the other shops on the same street & receive quality service from shops who choose to honor their Veterans who have served & live in their community. As someone who just moved from a medicinal state, this dispensary provided not only a wonderful selection but a memorable customer experience. I wish I could remember the name of the person that helped me, but they were so knowledgeable and fun. All of my questions were answered and I felt very comfortable with the budtender! Been a customer for a while and won't be back. Last trip in, bought two cartridges of the same brand. They said, "Keep your receipt in case there's an issue with one of them." Turns out one works, one doesn't. Brought the dud back within two days to return and they refused to refund or exchange because they said it's an issue with my battery, not the cart. Obviously not the case: my battery works fine with the other cart - the same exact brand and type, but a different strain. I brought my battery with me to demonstrate as such, and they still insisted it is not their problem. Fuck this place. read more

This is my favorite dispensary in Bellingham! There's always tons of choices in all kinds of price ranges and the cases placed throughout the store are fun to look through too. I am very disappointed. I have had a HORRIBLE day. Literally one thing after another today. I get home and my pool is closed due to the pump being out, was denied a house that our family had applied for, me trying to find a new home is affecting my work life, and then I get to Star Buds where I stood in line for well over 10 mins (and it's not cool in this building. you guys need a/c.) there were two people working with two customers with one other person ahead of me waiting as well. The two budtenders tonight, instead of realizing the long line they have forming, continued to chit chat about things that weren't even weed related. I work customer service so I get it. Even was management in customer service. But when I have a line building up I respectfully inform the customer that I am working with that I have a line building up and lets get them checked out. NOT sit at the register socializing when you have people waiting in line for well over 10mins. Horrible customer service. And this was on 8/1/22 at around 7pm or so. So I went elsewhere. Heck they could have even asked people if they knew what they were looking for and I would have respond yes and it was a smokey point joint. I knew the name of it and everything and they could have gotten that sale out the door while the other customers take their time. Not everyone has time to stand there and socialize. ESPECIALLY when the customer is already having a horrid day. And see? no one would know that cause they didn't even take any of that into consideration. The flow needs to be consistent. I was not impressed tonight. The two working need to be spoken to about performance and getting people what they need in a timely manner. I walked right out.
