Even though he was juggling a full schedule, after talking to my wife and understanding our sense of urgency, he stated he would make time for us and came out a few days later to get the job done. Joey examined the damage and penned an objective, unbiased, scientifically based professional report supported by the physical evidence observed. The conclusions reached in his report are such that our claim will stand up to the scrutiny of other engineers, insurance adjustors, and potentially in a court of law. If you're in a situation where you have to get your old-funky carpets tested for asbestos, before the old carpet can be ripped out, and the new carpet installed, then I recommend Atlas. $35 for same day testing. Or $20 if you want to wait 3 days for results. They even had a night drop box at their front door, to drop off samples. :) I'm happy.

Curtis gave me several ideas in which I could do, gave me an estimate and told me when he could start work. After I figured out which way I wanted to go picked out all my tile and new bathroom cabinets,fixtures, toilet etc, I called Curtis back and he started work. While in the process of getting all my stuff together if I had any questions I called Curtis and he was always there to help. He pretty much gutted my whole bathroom, he made a larger cutout for my wall medicine cabinet, put in a pocket door, added a whole new tile shower, glass doors, and tile flooring. I love my bathroom it turned out perfect I could not of asked for a better job. I would totally recommend Curtis to anyone who is looking for home improvements. In fact I did recommend Curtis to a friend, he did their bathroom also and they love it. Without Curtis I would of never been able to re-do my bathroom, he is reasonable, friendly and a pleasure to do business with. I will call him back for my next project. A very satisfied customer!!! BEWARE! I started working with Tamarack over a couple years ago now I still don't have a permit. I…read morewas told it would take 3-4 months. I hired them to do the architectural work and engineering. They failed in both areas. I got passed form one AI to another...and yet a 3rd before I was given "completed" plans...which I later came to find out were not complete. I moved on and hired another AI to revise and finish the plans. We then found out during the year I was waiting for Tamarack to do their job the local building code change and what I was given from Tamarack was based off old code. I was never told about the changes in code, nor did they adjust the plans for this. So, I had to hire a new engineer to redo the plans as well and now have to spend thousands more to fix the mistakes done baby Tamarack. I requested a refund for the amount I paid and was rejected reimbursement.

They had a preliminary drawings to us in a week and we loved them. We said lets absolutely go with those, please do the engineering. ...And thats where the train came off the rails. Apparently they got very busy which is a good problem to have as a small business. Unfortunately as the end user who may not be the biggest client in terms of cash flow, we were clearly put to the bottom of the pile. This was mid july when we started the process, our goal was to start construction by mid august. That date came and went, as did many others. By the time engineering was done, and we had chased them around trying to get answers and threatening legal action to break our contract we were miraculously given plans. Plans we took to the city who promptly told us we couldnt use them because of basic fire codes, and soil issues that (one would think an engineering company would know about, which is why we hired them in the first place). All in all incredibly frustrating. I will absolutely never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.
