This is a very busy store. Huge props and shoutouts to the awesome Store Manager Gus and the Print Dept Supervisor Freddie for being very professional, sharp, very courteous and proactive in not only greeting me right away and letting me know that it would be a couple of minutes; then ensuring all 6 of us waiting in line for different services were communicated with and taken care of pronto. My color prjnt job cost me $0.49 which I thought was an excellent price for the team doing all the work, checking the e mail, centering the photo and cutting the paper. Outstanding! Big also as a small job like mine( lady before me had a 430 page print and 2 sets of copies) got just as much attention, care and prompt service as hers did. While I was waiting, I walked around and checked out the sales they had on various items - Bounty paper towels, Bic pens, copy paper, computers. The store has a nice and easy non cluttered layout. The cashier wished me a good evening as I exited via the doors on that side of the store. They close early don't let you know. There's no staff around. Apparently the Amazon is down whenever they feel convenient to have it down. I showed up with a couple packages and they literally locked the door in my face when all an Amazon delivery is scanning a package which does not even 30 seconds. Staple in Westbury, I stopped in to return an unopened box of a chair I'd bought and found to big for the space. Jeff helped me and I found him to be a helpful sweet young man. I'd used 2 coupons rewards to pay for part of it and the rest in cash when I'd purchased it in the Plainview store. ( 14 day return policy with receipt) Bottom line I did get all back. But it's a courtesy as Now, going forward, if you use your rewards to pay and, need to return, you loose the money from them. Rewards easy, I don't find that. read more

I feel Like a new associate be trained each time I have to figure out how to use these copy machines. Went in for planner inserts fairly empty at the moment around 4:30/5pm around 5:30 I made my way to the printer station to find out about heavy card stocks for my planner; which had two females helping the current customers (3) in a timely fashion, after assisting those customers one lady had stepped away to assist a cashier with something I'm assuming that was the manager. The young lady that was there then assisted me and another other gentlemen was amazing! multitasking at its finest. Measuring out everything for me along with still being able to meet the printing needs for someone else . We came here and needed to have labels made for return addresses... The guy kn the print shop was really helpful! Since our labels were on just regular word bc i never figured it out otherwise he literally walked with us through the store to find the labels that we would need and for the amount we needed was about 16 he was able to find us the best one! He was like for what your using lets get you the easiest one cheapest etc! So we ended up getting a whole 8 1/2 by 11 ahesive which meant we would have to print them out. No big deal there! As far as office supplies go, I have been a Staples fan for many years now. They always have the oddball (as well as regular) items i'm looking for. The team members are always courteous and more than willing to walk with you and help find an item. I think their tech department is good for assistance but I always get the feeling that they are trying to sell me something. (Usually, ant-virus software.) Their rewards club is the best around and the "100% rewards back" is a great deal. I strongly recommend that you take advantage of their dollar deals but as I always say, check the prices out thoroughly... just because it's piled high and surrounded with bright colors doesn't aways mean that it's a good deal. read more

The custom printing dept helped us to print a funeral booklet for a service. The person behind the desk (possibly Evan? -- fan of Hayao Miyazaki) was super knowledgeable and created an instant proof. Not only did the proof look great, but the order was turned around by 2 pm that day. Wonderful customer service and very fast. Highly recommend this location. read more

I just really hate to be condescending but if there was another Staples close to this area I would be at that one in a heartbeat. This store just is the pits man. It really is! I just have to write about this. Recently placed an online order for just one thing. It wasn't even complicated but I thought it was much easier to order online and not deal with any of the employees and the hokey pokey slow check out. Surprise surprise. I am failed yet again. I go to store pick up and I'm waiting there for at least 3 minutes before anyone notices me. Then an employee sees me and she uses her microphone to get someone. Another minute or two passes and here comes online pick up employee. The employee that helped me mysteriously couldn't find my item in their back room. He then goes and finds a manager. Manager comes and starts looking on computer asking me how long ago I placed my order. I had placed it first thing in the morning and not 10 minutes later it was picked. I had things to take care of in work and I figured I'd run out in the afternoon after lunch so we can also have our coffee time. I tell him if it's a problem I can just get another one and have them return the one I ordered online. No no they're gonna look he tells me. So off they go.. the two of them are looking for it in their back room. A few minutes later they find my item. Now what should've been maybe a 5 minute all together process was more like a 15-20 minute process. I'm sorry but c'mon! Are you ready for what the item was? I'm afraid to tell you cause you're gonna laugh. Ok ok I'll tell you. It's a large 4" binder that holds over 700 pages. They couldn't find a binder right away? Are you kidding me? You're joking right? Nope... Not joking. Not kidding one bit. Talk about super uber frustrating! Have been to this Staples several times since I work close by. It's great in a pinch to get something. Everyone is very helpful and they always have the sale items in stock which is why I'm giving them 5 stars. I had to buy a set of pens for my daughter for a school project and of course they were the wrong ones so next day I had to return them, had my receipt and no questions asked. The sales person was efficient and polite. In the past I have bought all my printers and ink from Staples. They have good sale prices on their printers, some good coupons for the ink and they recycle your old ink cartridges. Usually they will give you $2.00 per cartridge up to 10/month and sometimes more if they are running a special. It's great to just give Staples the ink, help the environment and receive some reward. I have also ordered several items on line usually with free shipping and quick delivery. There was only once I had a slight issue and I was compensated and it was resolved to my satisfaction. This location is extremely convient as it is right on Old Country Road. I have been to this location several times and all of the employees are helpful. Recently I used the fax machine in the Print and Mail center for the first time and Mike J is EXTREMELY helpful. He asked what we needed done(printing from a usb drive and then to fax it). He explained the steps and said that if we needed his help to just call for him(we did 2-3 times). He helped us out with payment and making sure the fax went through. I can't stand how much they charge to use their computers. I know .30 doesn't seem like much, but still. And seriously it shouldn't be 18 for an hour. If you're already charging then an hour should be like 15. Give a Little discount. Especially since there's tax! We weren't welcomed when we came in and no one asked us if we needed help. I'm a fan of Staples - they have office supplies, I can ship UPS packages there, I can even get copies done there. This Staples was so woefully understaffed I felt like I aged 15 years while waiting on the super long line for the lone checkout staffer. There were 6 other people in line with me. The person at the check out was doing a return which was taking FOREVER. The manager was there. But he was just standing around talking to another staffer, they looked like they were joking and talking about their weekends. The print/UPS line after the checkout was also ridiculously long. The staffer who helped me at the UPS line was actually SUPER nice and found a coupon to use for me and thanked me for my patience - she was awesome, but she definitely should've had more support. This store never picks up their phone. I tried all the extensions, it just keeps on ringing.

I used their service to fix my cracked iPhone SE and they fixed it, since then the screen was often non-responsive, my wife's iPhone 6s was also fixed there and screen doesn't respond most of the times. My phone fell down once after I fixed it and had a small crack at the corner and because of it they denied the warranty. They offered to fix the screen again if I pay the full price. We used their service just because of the long wait at the Apple store and Staples charges little less money than Apple store, but we paid the price of it, now we are living with two very less responsive iPhones and are waiting for an opportunity to change both the screens at an Apple store, I strongly recommend anybody to not use Staples to fix cracked screen, instead fix it at an Apple store. read more

Print/copy shop did a fax for me. Very speedy, very polite. Cannot speak to the quality of their stock or other services.

NEVER GET YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE!! Does not deserve one star. We spend $130 to have our screen fixed here. The person who fixed it told me that they had the best repairs for the lowest price around. Well pay more because they must use horrible replacement screens. I dropped the phone that night on my indoor/outdoor carpet (which I have dropped it on numerous times in the last 2 1/2 years. My daughter constantly drops hers on that floor and the kitchen floor with no problem.) and it cracked to 4 places. they must use thin cheap grade materials. Go somewhere, anywhere else. Place is horrible! No one on the floor to help you. I feel bad for the one person they have on the floor to help! The poor guy was everywhere trying his best! I had customers yelling at me thinking I was cutting the line when all I wanted was to ask the cashiers where I can get some help to find something. This store is a rip-off. The prices in the store on computers are hundreds of dollars more than online. You must always look online before going into the store. This even extends to warranties. I saw a computer online for 279 and the warranty was 66. In the store the advertised price was 399 on sale and the warranty was 199. When I pointed this out the manager override credit for the difference I received a credit and a nonsense response that store prices always differ from online prices that's how they make money. That's ridiculous and no other national chain store does that. I however checked my credit card recently and saw that they charged me 50 after I left the store for something I did not purchase. I'm writing their corporate headquarters because I don't accept thievery. read more
