I'm writing this review to warn others about a serious issue at this Staples location on Festival Way in Waldorf, MD. On Saturday, I shipped a UPS Express envelope containing a car key. The staff saw the contents, watched me seal the envelope, and processed the shipment. I paid roughly $80 for express service with a guaranteed Tuesday delivery. Days later, the tracking still shows "Label Created." UPS confirmed repeatedly that they never received the package from Staples. That means it was never scanned, never transferred, and never entered the UPS system. When I called the store, the manager was extremely rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to look into the issue, she told me to call UPS--despite the fact that Staples was the last place the package was seen. This is a serious failure in both customer service and package handling. I expected Staples to take accountability for a package they accepted and charged me to ship. Instead, I was met with hostility and zero support. I will not trust this location with any future shipments. In the meantime, I had to launch investigations on both ends which is still in progress, but I'm all in for the fight for justice. They should be mindful that most of the world is dealing with something. A little grace and compassion for others in all we do can go a long way. read more

Came in looking for an item for work. I knew exactly what I was coming in for, I just didn't know where to look for it. On that note, why is it that all Staples have the musty smell? I came in and wandered around for a few minutes. Went up and down a few aisles before I, by myself, spotted the area I needed to be. No store employee asked if I needed any help finding anything. Granted, this isn't a big box store that sales everything, so the staffing numbers aren't as high as those places. However, it would have been nice to be pointed in the right direction without having to waste so much time. I did look over what they had on hand. Unfortunately, what I needed they did not have. I know I could go online to order, but I kind of needed it right then and there. But it is always and hit or miss type of store to visit. read more

Ugh... I was honestly trying to give them a break because I like the manager that took my order originally back in late January. Her name was Jayla. Didn't want to write this review, but enough is enough. It's been a series of misadventures trying to get a simple business card order completed. It started out as a simple 250 card order, but at this point it's a 1,000+ cards that are free. Even that's not worth it considering the continual careless errors and the amount of time I've wasted driving back and forth to this location. Won't bore you all with all the gory details, but suffice it to say here's a summary of the last 5 months with them. All totalled, I've been here about 9 or 10 times since this odyssey began. Each of the below errors has resulted in an additional visit. * Misspelled my name - twice * Email address wrong - twice * Title wrong - twice * Picture missing completely on back * Picture inserted but top of head cut off * Left border completely cut off Since January, I've spoken with countless people, many of whom are no longer there including the store manager who has been replaced and Jayla is no longer here either I don't think. Talk about turnover. I've heard every excuse under the sun from the design formatter being sick/doesn't work on weekends, to the cutting machine not working to every *Covid* excuse imaginable. Today I brought the cards back to Tyrone who's supposed to correct them- again. He was the one that gave me the last order that he supposedly checked first. Current store manager, "Khadijah" also told me the order was fine. True 1/3rd of the way up the box, but the last 2/3 were missing left borders - which I didn't notice until last Thursday having picked them up a month ago. I have to treat this location like I do drive-thru fast food orders. Be sure to check every item in the bag before you pull off! The good news is every (other) time they screw up I get additional free cards, but even "free 99" is not worth the added headache and hassle of incompetence. I've had a previous decent experience with business cards at another Staples location, and was therefore very surprised and disappointed at the lack of professionalism at this location. One word... lady. One question, which one of us is employed by Staples? Here's what happened.. I took an Amazon package there for returning. I had the product in the original packaging and shipping box. Thought I was being helpful. The representative said, you can take it out the box. I said, excuse me. She repeated herself. So I took the product out the shipping box. She then said, after finishing the return, you can breakdown your box and put it in the recycling cart at the end of the aisle. I said, excuse me? She repeated herself. I replied, nah.. that's sounds like your job. Hearing no response, I walked off. Really annoyed with people. If I could give zero stars I would. Im in and out of this location often. I honestly hate that it's the only one closest to me. The inventory is always lacking. Things are never in stock. On this particular visit I needed cardstock paper. I can't remember the count but one was $21 another was $8....in every color available they only had the higher count on the shelf. I honestly only needed a few sheets but I was going to purchase the whole pack. I went to the print shop to ask if they could just sell loose cardstock. The lady behind the counter never answered the question she just said is there not any on the shelf. I explained to her only the $20 pack. She told me to go to customer service because the smaller pack should be on the floor. Went to customer service explained the situation and that I had been directed to her by the print shop...and she looked at me like I had 3 heads. She said look on the shelf gave me the aisle number. I explained I'd already been to the aisle and there was non on the shelf. In fact it said out of stock but the print shop said otherwise. Again a crazy look and she says well I can't leave the register. Why these business hire employees who don't know how to offer solutions to customers is beyond me. She could have called the print shop she could have called for assistance. Instead she looked at me like I was the crazy person. I told her you know what never-mind. And left the store sat in my car and ordered a pack of $4 cardstock paper from Walmart for pick up. read more

Was given an office chair for Christmas and returned it with no problem. However when I tried to get a new one I waited for about 15 minutes and got no help, even after asking the manager for assistance. read more

I placed a print order over a month ago for a funeral program. The store called within minutes of placing my order to tell me that they can't do it, but also can't refund me. I would need to call the 1-800 number. I've called three times and spoken with three different people. Still no refund. The customer support keep calling the store to refund me, and this store isn't doing it. Don't use this store. read more

Standing in staples trying not to scream out in my frustration! I entrusted my mother's funeral program printing to them and they are not done! I came in to pick them up at the appointed time and they were not ready and they acted like they haven't even thought of printing them on an alternate machine since their main machine was broken! They asked me to come back two hours to pick up....AND THEY ARE NOT FREAKING READY!!! I paid an OBSCENE amount of money for 150 color printed, folded and stapled programs and I am getting some hastily slapped together programs with uneven folding and this assistant "fake" manager has no clue how to resolve this issue and instead tries to act like I never requested stapling! I am so done right now for entrusting them with something so important to me and my family! No apology, no discount, no remorse shown for a crappy job....nothing! NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

WARNING: Do not take your iPhone here for service. Ever! You'll be sorry if you do. Our saga, which isn't over yet, started 5/24/20217 when we foolishly took an iPhone 5S for a battery replacement to the tech department (Easytech---HaHa). After Rose replaces the battery, the home button went haywire. Sterling asked me if anything else had been going on lately with the device b/c they couldn't get the home button to work. It's been getting hot the last 2 days, I respond. Sterling shows me the broken home button inner workings then tells me the device has to be sent off site for this repair. I have no choice but to agree since the device is unusable. After many followup calls from me, I pick up the phone on 19 June (5 days short of a MONTH!). Sterling claims he had called me a few days earlier but could get me or leave a msg. Hmmmm. So let's give him the benefit of the doubt and shave a few days off, that still means it took at least 3 weeks for them to return this phone. 1st, they were waiting for a part. Second, they were sending it back - be here Mon. Third, they were testing it to make sure it worked properly (wasn't enroute). Fifth, we are checking where it is. Finally (14 June), it's in the store. You can pick it up. Here's the huge (Yugeeeee) kicker, adding insult to injury. The battery is discharging faster now than when I took it to Staples. The device will not hold a full charge overnight even though it's not actively in use. On the 2nd day after we picked up the repaired phone, Apple does an online analysis and says the battery is bad. That's the one Staples installed. So, we've been w/o the phone for 3 weeks+ and the thing still isn't fixed! Things get worse. Apple may not fix it b/c a 3rd Party was involved. But why would we want to take it back to Staples. It's not like Staples repair skills would improve drastically. So please take your broken devices elsewhere if "time is of the essence" or you really want it repaired. Duh! If it's an iPhone, take it to them for sure, reliable repair service. No more 3rd Party repairs for us. The one positive, (I try for a least 1 in every review) is that Sterling, Rose and Kevin were always professional and courteous when I spoke to them in followup conversations. The process is broken, for sure. P.S. We had to replace the battery Staples put in, not working. Since Staples replaced the home button which controls the fingerprint ID mechanism, no more Touch ID. EVER! Staples also replaced the phone screen for some unknown reason. read more

Very dissapointed with this location. I had a flier I needed copies of. They asked me if I needed it that night and I explained to them yes. I sent the document to the copy center email. The young lady insisted she would help me and that it would be done that night. HAHAHA! That was a lie. She did not complete what I wanted. I called later on because I never heard anything else, the "manager" answered the phone. I thought he would be very accommodating and professional. HAHAHAHA! Nope he continued to cut me off and NOT let me explain the situation. Long story short! They finished it the next day. The manager didn't know what he was doing, and I had to come behind the counter and work on the computer. If you. If you are going to have people working in a copy center and or computer aide department; I believe these individuals should be computer savy. He told my mother she couldn't do something on a document that she was paying for, ONLY because he was not computer literate. They left a really bad taste in my mouth. **thumbs down** read more

DO NOT COME TO THE STAPLES IN WALDORF, MD FOR YOUR PRINTING! I went to Staples to have programs printed for my father's funeral. When I picked up the programs the next day, I looked a the first 10-15 programs and they all had smudges or spots on them. As I began discussing and showing Kadisha who is the District Manager, my concerns, she immediately interrupted me and said there was nothing they could do about that. Due to the large number of copies and ink that is being used, the ink began to run and the glossy paper is what causes the smudges and spots. She mentioned to a staff member that I am complaining about these little small things on the programs. She turned to me and said we do not see things like this when we print jobs. I told her I would be embarrassed to give someone a program that looked like this. As I was telling her that I came to a professional printing company because I expected excellence, she started raising her voice and talking over me again, telling me that they do these types of programs all the time. No one else has ever complained and that I was being particular. I asked her to stop talking over me and let me finish talking, but she continued talking. She said the only thing she can do is to reprint the programs on regular paper or give me a refund. I asked her to print one program using the regular paper so I could see how it looked and there were smudges on one page from the ink. She ran another copy and it looked fine. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated by Kadisha. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She consistently raised her voice at me and interrupted me when I tried to speak. She made me feel as if my concerns were not warranted, and I was just being picky. As a result of (1) not receiving a quality product in a timely manner; (2) Kadisha consistently arguing with me, giving me excuses for why the programs printed the way they did; and (3) Kadisha going back and forth with me, pointing out things I saw on the program she said they do not look at, I was late in leaving for my father's funeral. Since Kadisha is the District Manager, and she thinks it's okay to treat customers like this, I have decided not to support Staples again! read more

Not very happy with my trip. They let me stand there for 5 mins without saying anything. When he finally came over, he let me there was a problem with my order and they had to redo it. It would not be ready until 8pm, later than expected. I wish I would've received a courtesy phone call, so I didn't make the trip until later. Disappointed with the service. I hope my print job is correct and ready. On the way out the door the customer service lady was very nice and concerned about my needs. All was not bad! read more

I am a small business owner and have all of my copying and printing done at Staples in Waldorf. They typically do a good job on my printing orders. My issue with this Staples is that the Copy and Print lines are TOO LONG at all times of the day! There is only person working the copy and print desk but typically 5 people in line for a 10-15 minute wait each time. Not acceptable at all! read more

This is the second time I have tried to patronize this business and both times I have been lied to, order not done and then just brushed off like I did something wrong. This is the worse Staples in the entire DMV. I will never do business here again and will do everything in my power to make sure my clients and any person I come in contact with does not either. The employees at this store take customers for a joke and a game, An employee Mari takesk it upon herself to hang up on you and then telling you your order will be ready after closing. the manager Frank is no help at all. Saying there was no proof I paid for the business cards. How is it that the store employees don't know the policies. Customer service at this location has definitely gone to the dogs!! Purchased some ink for my printer and the price that rang up was different from the price listed. Questioned the cashier about it and asked her if she could have someone check. Although I only heard one side of the conversation, apparently everyone was too busy to assist a customer...WHAT??? It gets better...the manager's comment, "It's only a dollar difference." Hey Mr. Manager, it may only be a dollar difference, but guess what - it's MY dollar!! I was okay until he made that comment...the nerve. After the fact, the manager offered to adjust the price AND mentioned that the cashier had the ability to do that as well!!
