I went to Staples in Largo, MD to pick up an order and asked an employee if he could make a copy of a flyer for me on cardstock. He directed me to the self-service copier, so I explained that I needed cardstock paper. He then told me he could not assist because he had 40 projects to complete and several coworkers had called out. I understand that staffing shortages happen, but customers should still be able to receive basic assistance. I left disappointed that I was unable to get help with a simple copy request. Staples needs to do a better job of ensuring adequate staffing and customer service, especially during busy times. read more

NEVER seen a store as poorly run as this ever . There 3 employees. Mess everywhere. Piles of junk . Waited 40 min to pick up a 35 cent prepaid copy and I'm still waiting. Another employee said the entire print dept quit las week and one guy had to help tech and print . Currently spending over 30 min helping a senior look at computers. It needs to be shut down. Went to go print out some papers wasn't too busy, lady upfront didn't feel like helping out and just made any excuse and walk away I even overheard a couple talking about how bad her service is as well; she had short nappy hair I'm not that good with computers so I went and spent $10 for no reason bc she didn't wanna help.... read more

It took over 20 minutes to find my package, after going back and forth around the store they finally found my package. This store is all over the place. They have THE WORST customer service. I ordered a printing job that was supposed to be completed same day. The next morning my order STILL wasn't printed. Some to the Store Manager who was useless. Nothing was provided to compensate for my item not being ready as promised, just a shoulder shrug and I can ask my staff why it wasn't completed. I should have went to FedEx, their higher prices would have been better to contend with as they ALWAYS have superior customer service. read more

Went to this location after checking both the Staples site AND Google to see what time the store closed. Both said the store closed on Sundays at 7 pm. I got there at 6:40 to simply print off two small documents only to find a print-out of hours on the door that said the store closed at 6 pm. I then let the other people who were getting out of their cars know that the store was closed. Call before you go. read more

I ordered a pick-up banner through their website. It says "4" hours until you can pick it up. I had called to also double check that my banner would be ready for next morning pick-up. It was not. I will not go through staples again for any printing needs. read more

The Kettering MD location is my Staples of choice following the closure of Hampton Mall location several years ago. The Print Department, in my experience continues to exhibit professionalism coupled with compassion as it pertains to the emotions surrounding jobs like obituaries. On August 3, 2022 at 7pm, a widowed senior family friend called me with complaints that she went to the Staples in Rivertown MD for assistance with printing her husband of over 30 years obituary. Without full explanation, a representative told her to format the document and sent her away. Distraught, I told her to send me the file for review and that I knew the Largo Staples would be able to assist. I jumped in the car and drove off to Staples. This is where Terrance Banks-McCreary jumped in to save the day. I explained that I wanted to purchased a 11×17 mock up with an 8 1/2 × 11 2 way insert. He knew exactly what to do. Mr. Banks-McCreary assisted about 6 customers at once while assisting his co-worker (I didn't get her name but she was helpful to this process by sanitizing surfaces). A few lines needed to be moved and fonts modified prior to saving into Adobe format. The booklet mock up was printed and purchased transaction completed with no issue. Mr. Banks-McCreary's customer service was refreshing and sensitivity to the matter was greatly appreciated by myself and the family. The widow was pleased with the final copy sample and a last minute crisis was resolved because of Mr. Banks-McCreary's customer service customer and ultimately tasking. The only reason why I didn't give Staples 5 stars is because of the consistent lack of staff evaled to the Print Section. This is a heavy foot trafficked location where there is always a staffing shortage. Staples, help your staff by providing the support needed. Thank you again Mr. Banks-McCreary! read more

My star for this Staples is location it's near my home. Customer service "Horrible", Did anyone ask if you needed help NO. Prices are too high for school supplies. They advertise cheap prices but when you get inside it's a gimmick. They make you buy 30 of whatever to get like a 99 cents deal on their products. Would I return probably not. I went right next door to Target and purchase all my kids school supplies for cheap. Go Target!!!!! Also, one more thing a manager snatched a binder out my hand as I was placing it down and said you can just give it to me in a rude voice. I'm giving 2 stars because the staff was helpful in the DIY print center. However, I think it is absolutely ridiculous that I pay $1/scanned page. I was rushing to scan documents by a particular deadline and figured it would be faster for me to do it at Staples than at home. Nonetheless, I only had to scan 11 pages and that cost me $12. I think this is absolutely ridiculous! There is no reason scanning should cost so much. I was not using any of their supplies- ink/paper yet and still... $12. When I went in last week, the print and copy area was filthy and only two computers were available for about 7 or 8 customers waiting; the others were broken. The staff ALWAYS has awful attitudes and were rude to me when I asked what the wait would be. I'm so sick of such disgusting customer service being the norm for this area. Quite a large and fairly brand new Staples. They have everything one would expect from any Staples and plenty of staff very eagerly ready to help you in finding what you need. Then again it looked like one of the top Staples managers were there so everybody was on their toes. None the less I found it very good in having what I was looking for and their staff was very useful and cool. read more

DO NOT BUY A COMPUTER FROM STAPLES. Bought a Acer computer on sale for $400 from Largo Maryland store. After 30 days started having problems with it, basically a lemon. I get this happens, my issue was their attitude. No skills, no knowledge not friendly and not professional. Two different employees at two different times, one was a manager. Would have got better customer service from the dollar store. Strongly recommend stick with Best Buy. Staples should stick to selling supplies. read more

Although I've had print job errors and poor customer service experiences at the Upper Marlboro, MD Staples before, my most recent experience has been enough for me to give up the convenience of going to the closest location and venture to a different location in the hopes of it leading to a better experience. I left 3 documents for them to make 30 copies of. When I picked up the order and got home, only 1 document was copied and no originals were returned. They did rectify the situation free of any extra charge, but of course it took dealing with poor customer service, and unnecessary time and effort on my part to get what should have been properly done in the first place. And my original documents were never found to be returned to me, thus lost the money spent on the originals. Overall, there is much room for improvement at that location. read more
