The regular UPS store was closed, so I decided to use the affiliate UPS location inside of staples. At first, I was in shock how the young man decided to sound and look disgusted about having to walk over to help me. I told him what I needed, showed him the QR code and he tells me he cannot help me because he's never scanned a QR code for a label and tried to walk away, but I stopped him. I told him I could also bring up a bar code, but he stares at me like I'm an idiot. Luckily, this other gentleman, Michael was working and overheard me explaining. He immediately come over with a smile and was able to help me. He walked me though each step so that I knew how to do it if I were to need to do this again. He was friendly, respectful, caring and kind. I wish more people in the workforce were like Michael!! It's unfortunate that it now rare to come across workers who work hard, know their role, are there to help others and enjoy helping people. If more people were like Michael was with me today, society would be so much better. Thank you Michael, for all of your help, patience and kindness! It did not go unnoticed! I had a fairly urgent issue with a printer ink purchase from this location. The manager (Mario) listened to my concern and found a way to help me even though the HP customer service was not able to. I was a retail manager for many years and understand what exceptional service looks like. Mario, as well as another manager (Jordan) have earned my future office supply needs in a most extraordinary way. I highly recommend this location as a great place to place your trust. read more

Don't come here for copies. Very poor service. Only one self serve and church lady won't let you run a copy while she sorts her pile and not using the machine. Likewise the big machines are not running but two employees are aimlessly walking around telling me it's a 24 hour turn around for them to run copies on the big machines. Waste of time stopping here. read more

Not sure why there's so many negative reviews with returns. It was very quick and easy and the workers were very pleasant!

In this post-covid world, customer service is depleted... Staples on Beechmont Ave has possibly the lowest level of customer service I've seen in retail. The manager should be aware and corrective action taken. I've had to shop here on a couple of occasions pre-holiday and post... same bad service. Excuse was always, we are understaffed. No apologies or engagement until you have to find somebody to ask. read more

In the past some workers here were very nice. Today, I was treated very rudely while returning Amazon items. I get it, this is extra "work", but the cashier in the print area refused to help me, waited on the "customer" (I believe I also a customer) behind me in line first. I asked her if there was a limit on returns to which she answered "no". While processing my returns, the female employee acted truly put-upon, and another (male) worker told her in front of me "this is one of those instances we need to have a limit on Amazon returns." Instead of helping people in line behind me, he continued making jokes saying they needed a "comedy routine" for the people in line, I'm paraphrasing: this is what happens when corporate America starts receiving Amazon returns but won't hire additional people. I apologized multiple times to the cashier (she wouldn't respond except to say "I know what I'll be doing tonight now".) When I told him I'd go to UPS next time, he responded, "YES! PLEASE!!! DO THAT!" I'd simply approached the print counter with three workers and tried to return things. I don't understand how workers could talk to anyone, customer or not, like I was spoken to today. It is unfortunate the employee culture here is unhappy and unprofessional. I felt very unwelcome. read more

Seems to be a trending pattern here, except corporate America doesn't care, and they only want your money. Amazon is much cheaper and most of the time they get it right. Don't waste your time with this store and these two particular employees: Jordan in printing and Mark, the store manager. (See Photos) On November 27, 2023 At 9:00 A.M. I called the Staples store at 8666 Beechmont Ave. Jordan in printing, answered the phone. He had a very boring monotone disposition, and it was clear he did not want to help. I asked what times does Amazon deliver packages. He stated I don't know I'm all the way across the store. I've been in the store many times and it would've taken him maybe 12 steps to find out, instead of placing me on hold for 27 minutes. I asked for the manager and I heard him tell Mark the Manager, he had a call on hold. I was on hold for 27 minutes and I started whistling loudly, and he (Jordan) finally heard it and picked up the phone and started laughing. I complained at about how long I was on hold and asked for the manager again. He put me on hold again for another two or three minutes. During this time, I took screenshots of my phone, so the world could see how long I was on hold. This guy literally hung up on me again. I called back and he immediately stated "I would've called you back, but I didn't have your number." He didn't even ask my name or find out who he was even talking to. So unprofessional. He stated Mark the manager was in a meeting and on the phone. Keep in mind readers, I heard him (Jordan) give Mark the message, and Mark acknowledged when I called the first time before being placed on hold for 27 minutes. The manager obviously is not responsible to take his calls. I was in the store last week, and the manager has a very dry disposition about himself. It's much cheaper to order on Amazon, sometimes even 1/3 of the price less. I told him (Jordan) I was going to put it on social media of what actually took place. Jordan stated " go ahead and put it on social media, I don't care." He then hung up on me after telling me to have a nice day. Not anytime did he apologize for the long hold time or nothing. Please note, most businesses are not extremely busy at this hour in the morning, anyhow. This is just blatant poor Customer Service. Look at the pictures and you can see the parking lot empty other than employees vehicles. It wouldn't surprise me if this place closes the doors in the very near future with this type of service. I would simply use a FedEx, Kinko's or some other office store other than Staples on Beechmont Avenue. I would not recommend this store or have any dealings with these individuals. I was in the store a week ago and they don't have hardly anything in stock, everything has to be ordered. One item was $50 higher than what I can get it on Amazon for and have it delivered at my front door. I would avoid these pathetic individuals and their customer service. Corporate needs to monitor the calls, but I happen to take photos so that the world can see how long I was on hold to speak with the manager. The manager never did come to the phone, nor did the employee, Jordan, ask for my telephone number so that he could call me. He simply told me to have a nice day and hung up on me. Update: attached are the employees photos. I went in the store to take photos for the public, and Jordan confronted me with the same attitude and disposition. He started talking on his earpiece radio to the manager as if they were in the Secret Service or something. Manager came outside and stood on the front door parking lot as if he was going to report me for complaining about customer service. Manager looked right at me and did not offer to help me. Didn't have any conversation with Manager. I will not go back, and I will get my packages and do my shopping elsewhere. read more

I normally don't like to leave bad reviews but i wanted to leave a review a few months ago. I came in the store to pick up a Amazon order. I never picked up my Amazon packages from here before, and there were no visible signs that told you were to pick up the orders. So after walking around for a bit, i walked up to a lady (had glasses, heavier set, shoulder length dark brown hair) and i asked her where would i go to pick up my order. She rudely tells me "aisle 16". So even though i could have cussed her out for being rude, i instead said thanks and walked to the aisle. then saw another very nice employee who showed me exactly where it was. She definitely deserves a raise, because she was very sweet and even though she was doing something already, she stopped to help me! Now that was the only good part, but because of the the rudeness of that one employee, i won't be back. If you hate your job, go get another one and stop being in customer service read more

I dont often go to a Staples for anything, but I needed an office chair mat to protect my carpet. I usually buy them at Costco, but thanks to the pandemic everybody and their mother needs at home office supplies. I went onto the Staples website and saw that this location had one for pickup. I ordered it and was notified it was ready for pickup within the promised time frame. When I arrived at the store I didnt see any directions for curbside, nor was any directions in the pickup email. I decided since it didnt seem too busy to just run inside. The email stated there would be a marked online order pickup spot, which there was not. I proceeded to the regular register, where it took a bit for the person standing there to actually wait on me. When he did, he acted confused about finding the order pickup. After a small wait he finally came back with the item, but asked is this actually the correct order? Luckily it was but there seems to be a huge disconnect between the online system and this particular store. read more

I went to staples today to return three Amazon packages. When I walked in, there was a woman standing at the Amazon area waiting to return items but no employee helping her. I joined her in line. Next to us, there was a worker who was doing copying and scanning and things like that in that area and wouldn't even look at us. She could have easily stopped and helped us; it would've taken minutes but she just kept on and didn't give us any affection. So we waited, and waited, and waited and then another woman joined the line. After a few minutes of continuing to be ignored, she asked the employee if there was someone handling the Amazon returns. Without even looking at us, the employee rudely responded "he's up front" and kept looking at her screen. So then we direct our attention up front and the manager is literally ignoring us, doing everything he can to not help us. I finally left. Absolutely terrible. read more

Good deals occasionally but you have to stay clear of the many overpriced items. Their clearance pricing is a joke! Staples Reward deals are the best. They are now giving away 2 packs of batteries each week free in rewards. I wish that other items would automatically hit my rewards account instead of making me logon their site and submit the request. Most of the employees are clueless about what they sell or what's in their ads or how their crazy promotions work. For example they will send you a $10 giftcard if you buy $49 of HP ink (limit 2). In reality you can't spend $98 at once, you need 2 separate orders of at least $49. I have had good and bad experiences with the management team. Some times they will substitute an item when they are out of stock; other times they tell you "tough luck". Sometimes they will override coupons which should work but won't and other times they tell you to call Corporate. Price matching is sometimes a challenge there too. Don't waste your time on Black Friday. They will have limited stock and people will line up out the door to save $100 on a computer that they will sell 2 months later for the same price. Target is next door which is an alternative. Office Depot at Eastgate closed so you have to go to Milford for the next closest one or to Office Max at Eastgate. Their customer service are even worse! read more

However: I am usually reluctant to visit this site because floor staff (in general) are non helpful/caring. Print center: only 1 person working the desk!! They need 2 people here!! Customers are always waiting for service. Also, there is only 1 copier for self-service vs. the 4 they had. This is a HUGE mistake!! read more

I have been shipping with staples for years and have spent thousands for just shipping. I visited the Beechmont location and well they dropped the ball. I had someone at the desk for shipping and they acted like it was their very first day. The package was important for a client to receive. I did not trust the person so I told them I would go up the street and use UPS. They could care less. I purchased 5 folders and spent 10 minutes in line when two employees were standing around. Listen Staples you have some big organizations that are kicking you around. Amazon is the company that is going to pass you by. read more

I used the email order service twice this week. They made mistakes on both orders. I ordered a poster with clear instructions about the size and colors. They printed the wrong size and had to reprint it. I also ordered a large number of carbon copy documents and put a clear delivery date on my order. When I hadn't heard anything by mid-afternoon on that delivery day, I called. They said they would not have my order back that day and couldn't tell me when they would arrive. I won't be doing any print work at this Staples again. read more

I went in to have some table tents printed out. The first time I went in they said I could only order table tents in quantities of 20. This was great, I had a large order so 20 was perfect. When I went in with my template to actually place the order, I was told they were only printed in quantities of 14 and that I had to order a minimum of 4 units. Although odd, I was fine with this because I would still use that many table tents since I was ordering for multiple locations. It took 7 business days to complete the order. When I went to pick up my order, I was only given 20 table tents, 10 for each location, and was told that they messed up my order and that they now only print in quantities of 10. They said they would complete the rest of my order for free and would let me know when to pick them up. A week later I received an email saying that they had just started production. It is so late in my league registration now that I wouldn't even be able to use them. The employees were friendly, but at no point in time was this process organized or cohesive.
