First before coming in, I ask do they do same day service I was told yes once I picked out glasses that I wanted I was told that it would take 7 to 14 days order date 1/29/2026 delivery date was by 2/12/2026 check website no updates so I called and spoke with someone who stated that they can't located eye glasses and to give them by the 2/19/26 for the glasses to come in call back after the 19th was told that glasses were in Dallas getting lenses done. Called back spoke with manager she was nice gave me a free pair of glasses until my other glasses come in. Spoke with someone two days ago who stated that the glasses were in transit ask for tracking number no tracking number available I was told that they would put a ticket in. Every time I called it something different, I would never recommend any one to Stanton Optical. read more

This place is scammy. You must purchase glasses or contacts before you leave or they will make you pay full price for your appointment, without your insurance. They also have virtual appointments. The optometrists on the screen had extremely thick, hard to understand accents that made it even more difficult. The screen that we were reading from was crooked so Im not confident that our prescriptions are that accurate. My son "had" to get glasses. One lens was 0.0 and the other was -.25. I didn't get to see his prescription until after I paid the $118. That's after my insurance. I have a $200 frame allowance so that was for the almost "clear" lenses and my $10 copay only. Please go to a legit place that has an actual optometrist. Don't make the mistake of being scammed here. read more

They were so helpful. Visiting for 2 weeks and needed a new nose pad for my glasses. Two other optical places told me I'd have to call Ray Ban and they couldn't help me. Stanton Optical fixed it immediately at no charge and then when I bought glass cleaner and cloth they told me it was free refills for life (it only cost $7). Customer service at its best! read more

It seems as if because of that I have been having problems with the contacts they kept giving me, just shooting in the dark to see which ones fit. Absolute worst experience I ever had in the 20 years of eye exams. Unable to speak to an actual live person, call the toll free number and they just repeat what is on the website that I read and called and told them I read but needed additional information. No "in house" person to do actual eye exam it is done using remote access and you have to purchase contacts when checking out because they are so good they fit you perfectly the first time around. So now I am stuck with contacts that do not allow me to see and I am unable to speak directly to a real live person that is not reading a script. One year ago my husband and I both used this company, on Youree Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana for our new eye glasses and exams. The employees were kind and friendly, eager to help. What my review focuses on is the quality of the glasses themselves and the lack thereof for the glasses/frames and add-ons purchased. We each got two pair, one pair were sunglasses. All of them we added extra scratch protection, UV filtering and other filters that added up to a very big total. All totaled we spent almost $1,000 that day! Within the first 60 days, my husbands sunglasses had small scratches on one lense. We went in and were told that for $50.00 and a week, they would "fix" them, if it needed replaced it would be higher! Their 30 day guarantee was a shock and I should have done better homework on that end. They lured us in with great specials and honestly we have spent similar money at Vision 4 Less and we both still have all of those glasses, all still scratch free. Just needed updated lenses. We will be heading out for Vision 4 Less on Airline Drive in Bossier City this weekend!!! read more

I had no trouble making an appointment although it was clear it was not local and was through a call center. I was however, expecting an in person exam since I was not told any different. What I encountered though was a video chat with the optometrist who controlled the screens used for the exam remotely. Certainly not what I'd call an eye exam but I suppose did accomplish the purpose of prescribing the needed glasses. I would not return. Would certainly want an in person experience. read more

You don't see an actual doctor. It's a doctor on a screen. My RX was completely wrong. After getting my glasses I'm having to go to another Dr. in order to get a correct RX. Do not go here! The optometrist was on a tv screen, and I was unable to communicate with them. The examination glitched to where my prescription ultimately resulted in me seeing in quintuple. The optometrist then said the examination was over and abruptly ended the video call. I also had a severe headache the rest of the day due to this visual experience. It was a complete waste of time. In general, the environment was hostile (the staff were passive aggressive to each other in front of patients, the patients were yelling harshly at the staff, and an employee started crying in the front of the store) and very chaotic (a loud children's movie was playing in the waiting room, the staff were running around frantically, and an employee lost copies of my ID and insurance seconds after making the copies). Do not waste your time. The place was unprofessional and poorly run. I was there almost 2 hours, and the experience was a disaster from start to finish. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had an appointment at 9:30 AM and due to technically issues, I wasn't seen until 10:10 AM. I'm very understanding to these issues and know it was out of the employees' hands. I then had to wait another 25 minutes to be seen by the doctor via zoom. As I was about to walk out due to me having class at 11 AM, the worker claimed that the room was ready for me and to come in. She said it wouldn't take long. I go into the room and was asked to state my name. The doctor asked the worker to check the chat via zoom and she did. She then processed to tell me this room was for someone else and that she couldn't change it and I'll have to come back. I think it's safe to assume that I won't be back after wasting 2 hours of my time and with no results... not even an apology. This is not the first time I've heard about this place lacking in different aspects. There was another woman who also left while I was there. She stated she had an appointment on Saturday and was told to come back today due to the same issues. She wasn't seen either after waiting for almost an hour. read more

The staff is great IN THE STORE. They were helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The website and all other automated options leave a lot to be desired. I checked my order on line for weeks only to find it was "under review". All attempts to reach Customer Service were futile (disconnected, on hold for over 30 minutes, no way to reach a real person on the web site). Called the store and found out my order was there. Made appointment and arrived 10 minutes early. Was, for the most part, ignored. Watched as one employee argued with another on a couple of occasions. Waited for my 4:00 appointment as others were taken in before me. Finally left at 4:30 as the manager (?) said that the person with the doctor was their 3:30 appointment. This place was awesome! They're very friendly and very quick with their work. They know how to getcha in and out with what ya need. I loved how I was able to set an appointment online and once I got there they were ready for me! I'll soon find out if their testing is accurate once I get my glasses back, but I have no doubts that it'll be anything short of amazing! They also have TONS of options to choose from for frames and have multiple programs to get you hooked up with what you need! I did the frame club which allowed me to get a pair of prescription glasses and sunglasses for myself and get my wife a pair of glasses with the lenses included for a very reasonable price! Zero stars if I had that option. You do not see a real doctor. I called customer service the next day after my appointment to make a change and customer service said they were closed. They would send a message to return my call. Well about 3 days went by and no call back. I called back they said they would resubmit a call back request, again few days go by and no call back. I called CS again, he assured me he would have the manager call me and still no one has called me back. They will not give a direct number. Finally I get a message my glasses are in. Well damn, guess I'm just gonna bow down and go get the glasses with out the change I wanted to make. I call my district manager to come all the way from Texas to Louisiana to cover my office so I could go get them. I get there today and only one pair are in. Really! I get to work and I can't even see out of them. They are worse and more blurry than the ones I'm trying to replace. I do not, would not, will not recommend this place to anyone. Don't do it.... Made an appointment online which was cool- When I got to my appointment, I was surprised when told it would take 10 -14 business days to get my glasses. The gentleman explained that they were a new store that didn't have a lab and recommended other locations that could do it same day. With only 2 people in the office, they were quite efficient as walk-ins and appointments were steadily arriving. Once Amber took care of my order, she spent at least 10 minutes looking for a replacement frame for my broken ones so i could use them until my new glasses arrived. I was going to give 4 stars but one of the managers is rude as hell. Yes I had issues with my prescription which was not their fault at all (I've had lasik so one of my eyes fluctuates a lot) but this particular lady has been rude since the first time I went there. I went up to her for help choosing frame #2 and said "I'm looking for similar ones to these", she looked at me and said "well I'm sure there are plenty" and gestured to the wall. Not helpful but okay..? Another manager that was there (blonde hair didn't get her name) helped me choose a pair I loved. She made me feel good about them and made other recommendations. So The second time I had my glasses made I was told to come back if they work out so I can have the second pair remade too. A week later I went in saying they were making me nauseous, dizzy, gave me headaches and eye pain and that First manager had hella attitude with me and just said to give it another two weeks. Ok fine. 2 more weeks go by and I'm still feeling sick so I called the store and she was giving me attitude AGAIN and suggested I get them rechecked. Ok that's fine, not her fault but no excuse to be rude. After waiting for referrals, seeing my dr and a neuro ophthalmologist I got a lower prescription. I took it in to get my glasses redone and she was being rude to me again and said they're losing money helping me. She was explaining the new prescription to me and comparing it to my other two and was being RUDE at the same time. Before I left I asked to see my second pair again and she said they had put them back on the shelf so I asked if I can find them or choose another pair and she said no because it had been over 30 days and I can't exchange the one I initially had. Wth? The 30 days was NOT my fault. She had me waiting 3 weeks to get used to my other pair before they remade the 2nd pair we had agreed to exchange. I shouldn't have even come here to begin with because they don't even have an optometrist present. The prescription issue isn't their fault, it's all the unnecessary attitude from that manager that is the issue. I was going to let it go because I figured she was having a bad day but no that's just her persona. Don't work in customer service if you can't deal with customers. read more
