I really debated on writing a review but my experience was so negative that I just had to say something. The price of an exam and contacts here is more than other places. And what they fail to tell you is that your doctors sees you through telehealth. They call it a "high tech" experience but it's literally just a super glitchy video call in the exam room with the doctor. The audio and video kept cutting out and it was very uncomfortable. The machine for the doctor to figure out my prescription had smudges on the glass and it made my exam really difficult. Even after having it cleaned it was still smudged as if someone's fingers had touched it. This caused my prescription to be very wrong. When I tried on my new contact lenses I could not even read text that was 10 feet away from me. I'll have to go and spend money again somewhere else. I will say that the staff that is actually in the store are very nice and accommodating. The young lady who helped me was very kind and patient with me through my frustration. She was very professional and did what she could to rectify the situation for me, although not much could have been done. I did feel very deceived because I would not have paid for a telehealth eye exam at all, but I didn't even know until after my eye pressure was taken and would have had to pay anyways so I felt tricked. I was frustrated to tears. I have been a contact lenses wearer for over 2 decades and I have never had an appointment that had so many complications or take as long as this one did read more

My eyeglass frame snapped and I needed an urgent replacement. Found Stanton. Easy to get appointment online. Arrived and was greeted warmly. Exam was virtual, but thorough and unrushed. I initially expected it would probably take 1-3 days to get my new glasses due to significant differences in each lens - but to hear that they would be ready in about 30 minutes was amazing! Time for new eyeglasses after two years. I arrived at the Kendall location and for a moment I thought I was in Sedano's Supermarket; the salsa music was really loud and I understand we are a "tropical city" but not appropriate for this type of business (later on the change the music to something more appropriate). I was received by young lady at the front desk and quickly taken to the back after I completed a short document. Both the front desk person and the other young lady who started my exam lacked a welcoming smile and a warm greeting; as if they did not want to be there and at no time was I greeted by my first or last name, very dry customer service. The exam was quick, the store is spacious and clean and the bathroom was well maintained. I looked forward to picking up my new eyeglasses and hopefully management will read this honest review and better train the staff In friendly customer service. As it is, they did not make me feel as a valued customer and will probably will not return if they do not improve their customer service. On a side note, my other optometrist office has been remodeling and I did not want to wait another month as I needed my new eyewear soon. I visited asking if one lens in my current glasses could be changed to reflect my new prescription. They say that cant be done My left and right eye are vastly different prescriptions, it is not as if they would come as a pair. The replace them both he said would be $190. Ouch. They have an ad/promotion for two pair of progressive for $135. The small print says standard lenses. Well, mine are progressive, they have no special additions.. he did say mine were anti glare. But said my prescription was ineligible because one lens is higher. Their promotion does not say that, but told me mine was not standard. With no perimeters as to what 'standard' was, i had no reason to think me ineligible. Sounds kind if like a racket to me. They were pleasant and polite but makes no sense that an optical place cant make one lens. The one i needed was the lesser of the two prescription numbers and they seem to be able to have wide latitude on what is 'standard' or not with no set description if that in their promotional material Id not recommend them read more

El 27 de marzo de 2025 recogí mis espejuelos y no sé si la peor decepción es que no me sirvan o que no le den la más mínima importancia al reclamo. lo primero que no me agradó es que en ningún lado advierte que el examen de la vista sea on-line. El médico que hace el examen no fue grosero, pero antes de terminar le pregunte si es normal que en ninguna de las graduaciones que me probó yo viera bien y me dijo que si, y colgó. teniendo en cuenta que uso espejuelos hace 26 años y que eso nunca me había pasado me resultó extraño, pero le explique a los técnicos y trataron de ayudar. Como no sabían mucho que hacer más que probarme diferentes medidas les dije que tengo los ejes movidos y ahí fue que probaron otra opción. En este proceso se presentó un muchacho que a estas alturas no me extrañaría que fuera el manager de la tienda y no me dijo ni buenos días. Después de tanto finalmente me probaron una medida, de pie, contra la luz de la ventana y solo me pidieron que mirara de lejos, y vi bien. El problema es que no puedo leer, usar la computadora ni el celular porque no veo claro nada a menos de 40 cm. Y aquí empieza realmente el problema. Estuve una semana probando a ver si era un problema de adaptación y como resultado tengo dolor casi constante en los ojos y en la cabeza. Así que decidí llamar a la clínica, donde la persona que me atendió me dijo que el problema es que tengo muy buena visión de cerca y debo quitarme los espejuelos para estas actividades. Estás fueron sus palabras exactas. No supe si reírme o molestarme, pero más adelante me dijo que fuera así que dije estaré allí en 45 min. más tarde me llamó para pedirme que fuera a las 2:00 pm pero yo no podía y su respuesta que tenía 12-15 citas y no me podían atender. Ahí fue cuando le pregunté que iban a hacer y cuando me dijo que repetir el examen on-line le dije que no. la respuesta después de un intento de negociación fue que solo tenían un médico que hace examen en vivo en otra clínica y solo los jueves antes de las 4:30pm. Cuando le expliqué que yo trabajo en esos horarios y que una de las razones por las que los escogí a ellos es porque trabajaban los sábados me respondió: puedo darle una cita en dos semanas y ese tiempo es más que suficiente para avisar en su trabajo y que pueda ir. No podia creer esta respuesta. Sin contar que le dije que si me daba una cita en dos semana estaría a 3 días de terminar la garantía y la muchacha me respondió: si va a esa cita no hay problema pero si falta ya eso es su decisión. Para no extenderme en detalles solo me dieron dos opciones: o repetir el mismo examen inservible o faltar a mi trabajo bajo sus condiciones. Cuando llame un rato más tarde hablé con Customer Service de la compañía, con una persona que tuvo que escuchar toda esta historia y un poco más y trató por todos los medios de ayudarme, lo cual agradezco. en esta ocasión ofrecí hacerme el examen en otro lado, cubriendo el costo yo, y que me rectifiquen los espejuelos, a lo que me respondió q acababa de hablar con el manager de la tienda y él iba llegando, así que me llamaría en unos minutos. I'd never go here again. It's a complete bait and switch. Everyone was nice and polite when I walked in. I asked both techs working to make sure I was there for the $90 contact lens exam. They assured me that was it. After I got my prescription and wanted to pay and leave the tech who worked with me of course tried to sell me contacts, I let her know I would just need my prescription and that was it, I would be on my way. She then decided to let me know that the price had changed and it was actually $99. Now, I couldn't care less about the $9, what bothers me is that they changed the price of the promotion after I wouldn't agree to spend more money with them, I think that's wrong. Unethical. I agreed to pay the new price and asked the tech to charge my card. She then proceeded to tell me that the system was down and she would have to manually write down my card number and hold on to it until the system was back up so that she could charge it later. I told her I was uncomfortable with that and was there anything else I could do? Nope. No other option and I would not be allowed to leave without payment. Like... I wasn't trying to run out of the store or anything... I just don't feel comfortable with my information sitting out for anyone to see that way. I let her know I was not happy with my appointment and how my check out was handled and I left. I get home and look at my prescription and I noticed it has changed SIGNIFICANTLY from my last prescription. And apparently I have also developed astigmatism in one of my eyes. At no point in time did anyone go over the new prescription with me or explain anything from the pictures taken of my eyes, or any of the other tests which were done. I wasn't going to leave a yell review once I saw that I got a feedback email from the company. I figured they would probably have a better chance of seeing my review there than in Yelp, but once I finished my "one star" review, the page does not let me submit the form and move on with the process. The entire place was a joke. There was a man next to me who had been waiting on new frames for MONTHS with no notice from the company or the store and both techs kept telling him "I really don't know what the problem is sir." Well... figure it out and fix it for him... that's your job! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who actually wants a thorough exam, or anyone else at all. read more

I didn't look at the glass frames they had because I didn't need any, but it looked like they had a good variety, just like Vision Works. Ok I bought a groupon for my daughter, (which I've done for myself in another optometrist) and when I go buy the glasses the salesman is curt and zero customer oriented. He insists on giving me $150 toward the glasses instead of the Groupon $200 toward glasses and blatantly lies about how that's not the deal when I can see the deal clearly stating $200 toward a pair of glasses + eye exam (which is not a full eye exam really). So I speak to manager who repeats the same song though much friendlier and finally ceding me the original deal I had purchased. I end up paying $150.00 for a pair of non designer frames with "special high index lenses". Was it a good deal? Not really and I will not return here again, only to pick up my glasses in TWO weeks. Orange Park location nice people however, they tack on any charge they can. I went in for an eye exam for contacts girl told me $89 flat. I agreed and booked an appointment for that day. All I wanted was an updated prescription to buy contacts elsewhere. My appointment was at 11:05 am and they kept telling me that their systems were down. I was being as patient as I possibly could be didn't get back into the eye exam room until around 1:45 pm. Did the fitting for contacts and then the sales manager told me originally at check out $259.60. I explained to her that the young lady told me $89 flat. So she "discounted" some things and then told me my total was now $185.88. What they don't tell you is that the $89 is for the eye exam, cheap glasses which I didn't need, and one trial pair of contacts. Not to mention you also have to wait 30 days for a refund. read more

Much like another costumer's experience they refused to refund us after we were unsatisfied by their customer service. My husband ordered glasses which he was never notified when they arrived. Even though the brochure claims that they will refund with if you aren't satisfied with the service the assistant manager and manager both refused to give us a refund. First: Even though I called the local store's phone number, it was answered by a central remote number but they did not tell me that. answering number. Made an appointment with My Eyelab for eye exam and glasses. The lady started doing the exam. She did not tell me that she is only an assistant. I figured that she is not optometrist and I asked her. Then she told me "It is a remote exam". I said "I don't want that. I want a doctor to do it". Then she said "doctor is in this office only one day a week on X day". I was given an appointment for that day. I picked out the frames and ordered the two pairs of glasses. Two weeks later they called me said, "one of the frames you picked is no longer available. Pick another one". Few weeks later, one pair was ready but not made right. This was sent to be remade. Second one was not ready. Since then I have called them several times and now 3 months later it is still not ready. Even in Covid times, 3 months is just too long. Only plus for them is the price. but don't be fooled. I will start by saying the techs at this location where outstanding and very attentive. Asides from this, I would never return to this location. My daughter had a recent eye exam. After the exam was complete a recommendation to see an ophthalmologist was made because the optometrist there apparently could not get my daughters vision to better that 20/60 on one eye. After our recent appointment with an actual MD in ophthalmology he stated that the prescriptions from my eye lab were completely wrong. I feel cheated that not only did this optometrist at this location do the visit virtual via zoom but my daughter's eyes were not even dilated (a standard of practice ) during the exam. I work hard for my money and this place is a ripoff, and the "doctor" (Jason Mann, O.D.) at this location is a joke. Who does vision exams via zoom. Please note if they don't dilate your pupils during an exam they are wasting your time and money. They don't even care that the prescription was totally wrong. I wish I could say better things about this store. First off, my appointment was for 11am . After I signed in at 10:50 am , I wasn't called in for my exam till almost 12:45pm . It doesn't matter if you have an appointment here . They go by the sign in sheet. So , more than not, the store is always busy with people so there will be a very long wait. There is only one girl working the store along with the medical technician who is performing the exams. The girl who attends the store (although I know she means well and is apologetic) is running around like a mad woman helping one customer at a time. So even if you just need to pick up your order, you still have to sign in & wait till it is your turn. My whole appointment was 3.5 hours!!! This is a little much. I ended up leaving with an even bigger headache than when I first arrived. My suggestion to management is to hire more staff, at least one other person to attend to the customers. Not everyone goes in for the same reasons so your wait should be according to what your purpose is. read more

I actually really like this place. Everyone was so nice and the manager is the absolute sweetest. They have quite a large selection of frames to choose from and great discounts. My boyfriend got his glasses there and a couple months later, I realized I need glasses for the first time in my life and so I made an appointment online and got my eyes tested and got buy one get one free glasses. For not having vision insurance, the total price was not bad AT ALL. I recommend this place to others for sure but Kendall is a busy place so especially if it's the weekend, don't be in a rush to get in and out, you just have to have a little patience. read more

I came here because my dog chewed up my glasses and I seriously can't drive without any (shh don't tell). For $60, I think I don't even remember, I got my eyes checked and two pairs of glasses. The glasses aren't cute but I figured I would just get two cheap glasses I can keep in my house and one in my car while my nice ones can be in my purse - or lost which is more often. I went to the League City, Texas, store a month ago and received the 2 for $99 deal. I received one pair of glasses just fine; however, the 2nd pair have yet to be received by me with the correct prescription. They have been sent to the store TWICE with the wrong prescription. After being promised by the store to get the issue corrected and have the glasses mailed directly to me, I find that they are again at the store waiting on my to pay for shipping to my house! After SIX calls to customer service in Mexico, and a very unpleasant discussion with the store manager, they have done me the great favor of waiving the shipping fee and mailing my glasses to the house. There is no optometrist working with you at my eyelab even remotely. The person who checks your eye using " telemed" is a refractionist and not an optometrist. When I asked to see a doctor I was denied even via phone. I did not receive the correct prescription. And the customer service was not good at all. I would not use them again! Customer service was good when I bought my glasses so I gave them a two, but that was a different store.. My sunglasses broke before my year was up but I didn't get in since it was Xmas time. The Lewisville Mgr said since they didn't make the same ones she couldn't replace them. That was my only option since I was 3 days passed my warranty. Not my pick up date, my purchase date! It finally got so ridiculous I gave up! My glasses are now 15 months old and I stopped by the new Lewisville shop today. The nose pieces were hard and brown so I asked them to be replaced. The young man took them and returned a few minutes later. He had put much bigger ones on them and asked if they were OK, since that was all they had. Sure, they didn't show and you had one on already. Oh and sorry I forgot to tell you it will be $3.00. I've been wearing glasses 30 years and have never been charged for new nose pieces. Paid in full for 2 pairs(one and 1 free)3 weeks later I called and they couldn't find my order(apparently none was placed). I called once again today 01/09 after they have told me over a week ago 2-4 business days to get a second pair ready and they again advised 2-4 business days. Never been so disappointed. Do not go here. As soon as I did my exam, they put the wrong temp glasses in my face and I explained that I couldn't see from one eye. The tech said "don't worry in a week or so it'll get better. " I explained it was blurry and I cannot see and to please check the lens. He then checked it and it was wrong. Afterwards, when I went to get my trial contact lens, they gave me a different prescription because they didn't have the ones I needed... first they gave me something higher and then they gave me something lower until they decided to give me a different brand on one eye. This was ridiculous. My prescription was incorrect on paper and I explained I wanted it changed. They also told me I would get my lens a few days after and I didn't get them until a month after. My paper prescription wasn't changed until a month after as well. The sales rep and team is very nice but they do not do their job correctly. If it weren't for customer service line helping me I would've never gotten this resolved. You should definitely avoid this place. They also told me I would get a refund for my inconvenience and I still haven't heard back. Horrible service from the store. read more

It's not bad. Getting a nice doctor is a hit or miss. One time the Doc was rushing me through the exam and I had to tell him to relax. It's my vision test for crying out loud! I wanna get it right. Nevertheless the Doc was cool, he spoke to me about my eye health and recommended some drops. Showed he gave a f**k. (Can I curse here? Not sure.) The customer service is good but if you go on a bad day you could be waiting for at least an hour. You should call ahead of time and ask how long the wait is, sometimes there's no wait time at all and you're in and out in 30 minutes. Frames/Contacts: The generic ones are not that affordable and look and feel cheap. They don't have a lot of designer eyewear variety so I purchase elsewhere and get them fitted there. They price match contacts and offer discounts on framing so that works for me! read more
