Stanton Optical - Optometrists Near Me - Holland, Ohio

Now I understand why Stanton Optical has a very bad rating. I purchased frames and lenses from Stanton Optical on Airport Highway in Holland Ohio 2.5 years ago. I purchased additional warranty for any scratched, etc that occurred to these lenses. I want into Stanton Optical on June 6, 2025 to show them that my reflective coating was blistering/ pulling away from my lenses. They told me that the coating was coming off the lenses and was not sure why. I requested them to resolve the issue with my lenses. The stated that my prescription was over two years old so they would not fix my lenses. I explaining that I purchased warranty for any defects for the lenses. They stated that the warranty was only good for two years. I asked them why the don't tell the customers that the warranty is only good for two years when purchasing my glasses. This is the worst customer service I have experienced in over 30 years. DO NOT USE STANTON OPTICAL FOR PURCHASING ANY TYPE OF GLASSES OR LENSES. This company is a joke. read more

I ordered contacts from them (the airport hwy location Toledo) in October , did not get any notification that they were available for pick up , forgot about them and now it's December . When you call the office number it sends you to a call center , you cannot reach the local store . The Stanton optical store employee said ups sends notifications when they are ready, which I didn't receive the text, which I told them (for feedback) and the person was very rude , talked over me when I was explaining that I wanted to let them know maybe that system wasn't working. Will go to LensCrafters, took my son there around the same time and had no issues. read more

I just had eye surgery (6th)in st. George Utah and we had to relocated to,Toledo, Ohio a place I've never ever been, I'm coming from a small town and a dr.s office (Dr. REYES)Where everyone is super friendly and felt like family ... So, of course I'm nervous but wasn't too concerned on finding an office to do an exam- WELL, I was soooo wrong!!! It's like pulling teeth in (Perrysburg)town, I called every Walmart near us even an hour away, I called 3 eyes doctors and they had the worst customer service I've ever had I couldn't believe how cold they were.. I thought "GREAT, now WHAT???" Stanton optical was my last hope after all this bs of dealing with crummy ignorant people. I was kinda huffy (I can admit ) I was scared because my vision is everything and I am losing partial vision (I'm 49 years old and I have severe glaucoma). I was really needing to be seen! I call Uber to take me - they said there were near me then get an alert saying they won't be there till after I had made an appt. I was a hairdresser, I know how appts work I couldn't cancel after this compAny got me in! I was stressed to no end, so I had to call my husband panicked- he had to leave work, and I was still late the machine were shut off and everything. But this lady her last name was PERRY - my last name is PERRY, she must have felt me stressed to no end!! she smiled and was so kind, I just wanted to make a review on her personally because I thought she was super professional and helped me relax and calmed me- this is the company I want to do more business with. Avoid avoid avoid!!!! See a real doctor that knows what they are talking about. You can't ask a question here because no one is trained properly. And don't get me started on the whole video diagnostics with someone in dayton I believe. She was one of the most rude people I have come across in any drs office. So unprofessional! First off they told us they would take my husbands insurance with Anthem, then when I got there they bragged about how their husband worked on the railroad and wouldn't except our insurance, like our insurance wasn't good enough. I love Stanton! They have a very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Dexter knew a lot abut frames for the shape of my face and I got a lot of help choosing from Brittany and Samantha, Miakayla explained what was happening and helped look up my insurance, as I didn't know what my vision insurance was and they gave me a great deal with 60% off my back up pair. Just picked them up and Mary Lou did an amazing job at adjusting them to fit properly and explained why the fit different than the first time. read more

Stanton is a Good place to get your eye exam, glasses and/or contacts. Very friendly people. Prices are pretty good. Mostly I liked the nice people and the convenience. UPDATE- went back over a year later. Having some blurring in left eye, when I got there they only had me down for a contact exam. Had to fill out new forms- AFTER they had updated them in the computer. Had to wait 15 minutes- finally they took a measurement and then had to wait again. Worst part NO DOCTOR! Had to have the exam via a Skype call. NOT what I needed. Then had to wait over 30 minutes to get my prescription, because "their server is down". They promised I could cone back, but the blurriness is drying me crazy- and now it's too late to go see another doctor. Not going back. read more

The worst place on earth to get your eye exams and glasses. They "virtual" eye exams! The Drs. are not even in the building they are on a tv screen going thru a script with you for your exam. They never go through your results of the tests with you at all, and they do not give thorough exams at all. No dialation of the eyes are done, no feild tests ect.. Very poor exams, this place is a rip off would never recommend it at all. Prices are high too. And the staff clearly go by a set rourine and are not knowlegable at all. read more
