For the last several years, I have bought my prescription eyeglasses online. Much cheaper than buying in stores. But in recent years as I've had trouble adjusting to some of my new prescriptions, I decided to go back to buying in store, as they are able to provide more fitting service and check the exact location of your eyes relative to the glasses frames. This was my first time buying glasses from Eyeglasses World. The time before that it was from the office of my old eye doctor, and before that I bought glasses online. I didn't like buying glasses from the eye doctor's office, it felt like a conflict of interest. The way my old eye doctor was pushing the glasses sales was enought that I wanted to find a new eye doctor, one who didn't sell glasses on site. I hadn't gotten new glasses in over 2 years. I had been putting it off partly because the last few times I got new glasses it was hard for me to adjust. But I was having headaches that I think were partly due to vision issues but mostly due to long covid (which I've now recovered from, Phew). After I realized that the headaches might be due to vision issues and not just long covid, I waited a few weeks for an appointment with a new eye doctor (one who doesn't sell glasses!). By the time I got my prescription, I wanted new glasses fast. I was really happy to learn that Eyeglasses World could take my order in the evening and have my glasses ready the next business day. I shopped around at a few glasses places in town, including Lenscrafters, Target Optical, and Stanton Optical. Only Eyeglass World and Lenscrafters were able to fill my prescription same or next day. Lenscrafters was waaaaay more expensive and didn't have any styles that I liked anyway. Eyeglass World was maybe half the price of Lenscrafters. Still about double what I was used to paying online, but worth the price for the quality of service and the ability to try on the glasses in person. This is taking into account that Eyeglass World had a buy one get one free deal. But I wanted two pairs anyway so as to have a backup pair. The service at Eyeglass World was just right. They made it clear that they were available to help me but were not pushy and let me take my time trying on many different glasses. I left, shopped the other places, and came back to Eyeglass World a couple days later. Shopped their selection more, and finally picked out a few favorites. The salesperson who helped me turned out to be the manager of the whole store and also a licensed optician. She helped to advise me which of the frames I picked out would fit best. She noted that due to my prescription, some frames that felt a bit tight would stretch out with the lenses, and she was right. She did an expert job of fitting me. I got the new glasses a couple days later. And best of all -- I adjusted to my new prescription in just a couple days, and my headaches diminished. I love the fit, fashion, and vision quality of my new glasses and would plan to return to Glasses World the next time I get a new glasses prescription. read more

I got an eye exam I ordered contacts they were in within three days. Everything was good. I go there. I bring my receipt and everything from last time just to confirm purchase I go in she asked for my last name I've been in this situation before, so I pulled out my ID right away because she has not asked for anything. She says you're fine I said I would just like you to confirm my identity on my purchase for things, because that is policy law I said I have enemies just joking around. She said they don't have the same eyes of you. I tried to give her another chance by saying that, and she just joked with me back. I said that is not the point and I just walked out. I've had people give my product away. My sister and I arrived a few minutes before her 5:45 appointment and after filling out the proper paperwork we were seen right away. Chelsea was super helpful and so sweet. Afterwards we were ushered into the doctors examination room. Dr. Meens was so friendly with such a big personality and just genuinely nice. He has one of those voiced that invites you in as he's going through the exam, he's very thorough and knowledgable. Once my prescription expires I will definitely come here for an eye exam read more

If you have kids who are going to lose or break your glasses, this place is great. Two for 78 is a good deal. Service is ok, but they have a revolving door of doctors and employees, so it depends on who you get. Kind of like fast food places. Our big problem was their insurance issues. We have been going there for years and they ALWAYS have problems looking up our insurance, finding it, billing, etc. Its a long and horrid story. After the last fiasco with an employee I dont want to name (maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe this company makes all of their employees have a bad day as corporations often do), we decided to leave. We started to shop around. Come to find out from EVERYONE we called, they can look it up in two seconds, if they accept your insurance. Which they have for years. NOBODY HAD ANY PROBLEMS FINDING OUR INSURANCE (which we have had for years) except eyeglass world. Then, even with insurance we (in the past, we have a family of 5 so we were there a lot) we would get bills from out of state billing places, parent companies, etc. Its a big corporate mess. Go to a local place, one who has vested interest in the area, their customers, and their business. This is just another chain that has gotten to big, and doesnt know what is going on anymore. And the employees are just a number, so they dont care. And they never have a doctor that lasts long. Good luck my friends. read more

Linda was very friendly, helpful, and patient with me while we waited for my vision prescription to be faxed over since I forgot to bring in. In the meantime, I tried on some glasses and she helped me choose some frames and figure out my insurance coverage. Even tho I have to wait 2 weeks to get them in, Linda was hopeful that they would come in before my special event the following week. We will see. read more

What a fantastic experience from start to finish. My 14 year old daughter badly scratched her glasses and we were in search of a optical store that did same day lenses as we are leaving for vacation on Thursday. The place we currently use for our glasses uses an outside lab and it usually takes about a week for our glasses to come in. I called Eyeglass World this morning and spoke to Josh, who was very friendly and advised me that I could bring in an outside prescription and on most prescriptions they would be able to provide same day service. I was very happy to hear this, however I was nervous and wondered all day if there would be an additional charge for the same day service. After working all day and picking up my daughters prescription from our previous optometrist, I drove to Eyeglass World which I had never been to before. Upon arrival I was greeted by Allison, who not only was very friendly but also very helpful in explaining that it may be less expensive to utilize the promotions in-store as opposed to filing insurance. After my daughter looked around for a bit she found two frames that she really liked. After being fitted for the frames and being told that the prescription we brought in would be available for pickup tomorrow, Allison then informed me that there is no additional cost for the same day service they offer. I was very happy to hear that as this was an unexpected expense to begin with. The prices, the service and selection were second to none and the next time I need an exam, I will be taking my business here!! Josh had a very wonderful and helpful personality on the phone and Allison was fantastic to work with in person this evening! I will highly recommend this location to others!! I bought 2 pair of glasses with insurance and a buy one pair get the second pair free. I still ended up paying over $600. Not one year later they both have multiple scratches, therefore I don't believe they applied a protective coating like I paid for. Big waste of money read more

The wait here is ridiculous. I appreciate that they have a lab onsite and can turn prescriptions around pretty fast, but their customer service model needs an overhaul. You can't make an appointment for routine things (I.e. I lost my glasses and need a replacement). It's first come, first serve...and the wait is a deterrent to return business. You enter and are barely greeted because they stay pretty busy. Then you're told to wait for a representative at one of the stations... And you wait... And wait... And wait. Next time I'll go somewhere else and gladly pay more for better service. Who has time to sit in the eyeglass place for an hour before they're seen?! I went for an eye exam, just popped in on the off chance and I was seen within 10 minutes or so. The Optometrist was really pleasant and professional.
