Inept. The doctor I…read moredealt with there was ok, but the entire staff beyond him was worthless. From scheduling appointments and billing me, to performing tests, and fitting glasses, the women were terrible at their jobs and for the most not pleasant to deal with. A woman gave me a test, during which I questioned her doing something a certain way. She told me she was doing it right and continued. When the doctor later commented on the odd results he was seeing, I mentioned my concern and guess what, never having even know of this type of test or the apparatus involved, I knew more about how to do it than the technician assigned to operate it did. The doctor did reprimand her about it, but still. I came in to them explaining how the prior place had messed up the focal points of my lens for my last pair of glasses, and sure enough, they did the same thing. They had taken "pictures" in doing a certain test. On getting my eyes examined the next time (somewhere else), I called to get these "pictures" for the doctor to compare. They not only didn't give me the pictures, but told me I had never had any sort of such a test done, so the pictures didn't exist. A flat out blatant lie. I just don't know if it was ineptitude or to cover up their having lost them. If it weren't for this being something a bit serious, it would be laughable how terrible a place this is.

First, there is an online intake form, no problem! Except I tried to do it from my laptop (as instructed, they say it will not work on your phone), took the 15 minutes to input everything and then the Submit button did not work. Tried again (another 15 minutes) and same thing! I gave up after that. Bad technology! Arrived 5 minutes early to my 8:30 am apt. There was 3 girls working the front office. I checked in, explained how the form online didn't work to press submit, so filled out the rest of the forms there. 8:45 passes. 9 am passes. 9:15 passes. I was told to "spend some time picking out my frames" to pass the time - which I would have gladly done except for the 90 pairs they have showcased were not attractive or the style I was looking for. Plus, these are part-time glasses - I don't need to spend $500 on a pair of frames just for when I get online to type Yelp reviews! FINALLY at 9:30 I was greeted by the OD. By the way, I witnessed only a small child who was having her glasses fitted and one man who finally exited the exam room. Having to wait an additional 20 minutes for the old school glaucoma eye dilation screening...I was fuming. The exam was fine by Perrysburg standards, and she charged my insurance $200 for mediocre technology, 1.5 hours of my day, awful selection of frames. Having moved back from Chicago - where my exam was $125, and new technology for glaucoma screening is completed in 30 seconds with an eye MRI (I'm not the sales rep, I have no idea what the technology is called...) machine that depicted to the doctor and myself the exact anatomy at that moment of time of my eye. Would not return, nor recommend.

Extremely Disappointed -I had a truly frustrating and costly experience with Franklin Park Vision…read morethat I feel obligated to share. In December 2024, I ordered two pairs of glasses from them--one regular and one prescription sunglasses. From day one, the regular glasses gave me blurry vision in my right eye. Strangely, the sunglasses--using the same prescription--were crystal clear. When I brought this up, I was told "it's because they're sunglasses," which made absolutely no sense. Franklin Park insisted I get a second eye exam before they'd redo the lenses. I returned to my original optometrist at Costco, and the prescription was "virtually" unchanged. Franklin Park remade the lenses. Unfortunately, the second pair still didn't work. I couldn't see properly out of the right lens and wearing them made me dizzy. I gave up and went back to my old glasses just to function. Eventually, I returned to Costco and explained everything. They tested the Franklin Park lenses and confirmed that the right lens was defective. Rather than spend another $439 at Franklin Park to try a third time, I had Costco replace the lenses in the same frames for just $187.99. In two weeks, I had glasses that worked perfectly. I returned the defective lenses to Franklin Park on March 26, 2025, and requested a refund. What followed was months of delay and avoidance. They sent the lenses back to Shamir--the very manufacturer that made them--for "analysis." Not surprisingly, Shamir said their own lenses were fine. Franklin Park then denied my refund based on that non-independent review and even suggested I ask Costco for compensation--despite the fact that Costco fixed the problem Franklin Park couldn't. Adding insult to injury, Franklin Park dragged this process out beyond 120 days, conveniently past the window in which I could dispute the charge with my American Express card. It felt like a stall tactic to avoid accountability. I spent over $700 trying to get a working pair of glasses, and Franklin Park Vision failed me--twice. The service was dismissive, the follow-through poor, and the outcome unacceptable. I would never recommend this office to anyone, and I'm disappointed that a business would treat a patient this way.

He is warm, patient, and kind. Jess did a great job with my deep cleaning. I can't remember the name of the hygienist that works with Dr Smith (Marlene maybe???) I might not remember her name but I certainly remember her great attitude and calming nature. They are two of the most understandings and caring health care professionals I've encountered. Both of them are super supportive of the recovery community. No one likes going to the dentist, but everyone from front the office staff to the billing in the back are awesome at their jobs and take great pride in their work. I'm so thankful for all ofthese guys for getting my dental health back on track. Another 5 star review for Dr Smith and MaryAnn! The entire office is actually excellent. I was recently laid off and will be transitioning into new insurance. I wanted to have everything taken care of while my deductible was met. The staff got me scheduled for ALL my dental work in one day! There is no way I could have had 4 filings replaced and a tooth extraction AND a root tip removal in one day anywhere else. My 10AM appointment to have two fillings replaced went exactly as scheduled- while checking out the office staff informed me of a 3pm last minute cancellation. They had me come back that afternoon for two more filling replacements. I jokingly told Dr Smith why not just pull the tooth and root tip too? And he did! I wanted to get it all out of the way as soon as possible. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time. His hygienists in the afternoon switched around my bite block and modified some things to maximize my comfort. No one loves seeing the dentist, but it's about as painless as possible with the great the great team at Frankel Dentistry! I had a consult between appointments regarding dental implants and both of the ladies who helped me were great. They gave me so much information and even got me a referral for Invisalign. I might have a little pain today, but I've definitely got a lot to smile about.

Absolutely do not recommend Dr. Jalilian or the Frankel Dentistry group…read more Dr. Jalilian is rude, curt, and apathetic. I had never seen her before my last appointment. When she came to do my exam, she acted like she could not be bothered to explain my care plan or my needs to me. And she got frustrated when I was confused and asked questions. When I got frustrated in response to her, her tone and approach got increasingly ruder. As a dental provider, I would expect her to display at least SOME level of kind bedside manner. This was just the opposite. She didn't want to have to explain anything or answer questions, and she acted like me asking questions was bothering her. Also, the day prior to my appointment, I received a phone call saying that I "had to call back to confirm my appointment" same day or it would be cancelled. I received texts notifying me of my appointment but NONE of those texts said to affirmatively "Confirm" my appointment or respond in anyway. They were just informational messages. I never received a text or any message saying that I needed to affirmatively confirm. So when I got the phone call and called them back, the receptionist explained that they had a "new policy" where you "must" confirm your appointment by the day prior or it will be cancelled. I received no notification of this policy. I explained that the text messages I received never sought or asked for affirmative confirmation either. I was again met with frustration and apathy. There were also comments made about how they would not recommend replacing a crown if it was done within 2 years because then "insurance wouldn't pay for it." But if it was more than 2 years ago, they would recommend getting a new crown. Whether I actually needed a new one didn't matter. That tells me their care decisions are driven by money. Frankly, the entire business model feels like a money grab and like they do not care about CARING for their patients.
