Making the appointment was very easy since the office personnel are so helpful in assisting. We went over some of the Covid related questions and I was instructed what to do when I arrived for my appointment . Inside the lobby there were hand sanitizers even before I walked in the office and my temperature was taken upon entering. The chairs in the waiting room were sparse and spread out far enough. No one was actually waiting inside except for the patients that I could tell. That was appreciated. I see Dr. Lauf and before that I saw Mandy and she was very professional, and I felt safe. The room appeared very sanitized. Dr. Lauf is always a listener and I trust his advice and directions explicitly. I will go back for a follow up and I thank these Physicians, Technicians and Office Personnel for their dedication all the time but especially in these unknown times. I feel very confident in this office setting.

While seated in the waiting room, I could clearly hear a discussion taking place from an office with the door left wide open. The conversation involved a prospective employee and included comments such as, "she's been sober for four months," "maybe this is her opportunity for a second chance," and speculation about what a pending background check might reveal. Regardless of the individual's circumstances, discussing sensitive personal and employment-related information in a manner that is audible to patients and visitors demonstrates a serious lapse in professional judgment. As someone who has held leadership responsibilities, I would expect management to understand that conversations involving candidate evaluations, personal history, or background screening information should be conducted privately and with discretion. If I were the candidate being discussed, I would be deeply concerned to learn that such personal matters were being openly shared within earshot of strangers. Respect, dignity, and confidentiality should be afforded to every individual, regardless of their background or current circumstances. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly diminished my confidence in the practice's professionalism, and I will be seeking care elsewhere. I would, however, like to note that the front desk staff were courteous, welcoming, and professional throughout my visit. The receptionist is super friendly and was great in explaining the cost of contacts and eye exam after insurance (which was dirt cheap especially with the rebate) and scheduling an appointment within a week. I was seen promptly by the doctor, and he was also patient and kind. I was relieved that they don't use the puff machine to test eye pressure because that's honestly the part I hate the most about eye appointments lol. They are to be commended for providing an incomparable service to the community in a time when lack luster corporate services are not only dominate; but what most insurance companies would prefer in order to cut cost and meet quotas. The quality of examination along with the selection of frames is unique as well. In fact, the quality of the frames is so good I have only had to purchase three frames since the time I've been a patient. Don't think very many corporate based made in China frames can compare in quality and durability.

Jenna introduced herself and took me back for the beginning of my eye exam. Jenna was very informative, professional and understanding with questions I asked. Then on to another exam room where she completed more tests in preparation. Dr Schwallie was very personable, professional,thorough and knowledgeable.
