I first went to America's "Best" when I got a prescription from my eye doctor because it is so close to my house. Big mistake, I should have researched first. Stanton was go much better in every way; they were friendly, helpful, had a great selection of 2 for $79 glasses, and, I had glasses in half an hour! Love them!! They also came with anti-glare coating which America's Best tried to add to my glasses for over $200.00. I highly recommend Stanton and would go back without hesitation. read more

I started my experience 3 years ago and made an appointment with the dr in office in boca. I made the appointment at 3 for a Friday. He decided to leave early and nobody contacted me. So they said we will do it remotely. That dr prescribed the wrong prescription and I could hardly see out of one lens. Had to go back again and see the real dr there. Not too happy Now one of my lenses cracked 6 months after getting new prescription and I have to pay 190 to replace. They also want me to pay another 79 dollars for a new eye test. Sorry they are not reliable or honest read more

The worst possible experience in over 5 decades!! After paying close to $500 (not the advertised $79 for two pair) for my husband's glasses with extra charges for protective coating and warranty, there was bubbling in the coating. We were told that the glasses should be replaced and charged an additional cost (not covered under warranty). The newer frame started to fall apart after a month. Awful experience in every aspect read more

My experience was very disappointing. I saw the advertisement offering two pairs of glasses for $79 and scheduled an eye exam believing I would qualify for that promotion. I paid for the eye exam, and only afterward was I told that my prescription (-2.25) did not qualify for the lenses included in the offer. I was informed that the promotional lenses were only available for lower prescriptions and that my total would be around $300 instead. In my opinion, this promotion is misleading because these important limitations are not clearly disclosed before customers pay for the eye exam. If I had known this in advance, I would not have wasted my time or spent money on the exam. I recommend that anyone considering this promotion ask for all restrictions and exclusions in writing before scheduling an appointment to avoid the same disappointing experience. read more

Broke my everyday glasses so I went to my usual optical store where they want $230. So I checked on the internet and saw Stanton Optical offers 2 pair for $ 135. Booked an appointment. The young lady did a a very job job examine my eyes for the right prescription. An amazing selection of frames. Steve showed me the different styles and finished the process. Wow what a surprise! I was very skeptical of the "price come on" advertisement but I have to say I was very surprised and satisfied! What impressed me even more than the very helpful staff was the amount of highly technical machines they used to examine me. Up north, I was always used to having special drops put in my eyes to dilate my pupils so a Doctor could properly examine my retina and optic nerve With a bright light. This meant that someone had to accompany me to the Doctor's office because the effect took hours to wear off. Well that was not what I encountered at Stanton! There must be over $100,000 worth of machines in a special room that measured all different aspects of my eyes starting with the dryness to the clarity of my eye's lens. The machines confirmed my suspicion and a different Doctor's opinion that my right eye developed a cataract which is a clouding of the lens. They do not handle that procedure but I was happy to hear and see the results of that test. They made two pairs of glasses for me. One lightweight clear and one lightweight gray polarized sunlgasses. Thanks to the Doctor, Steve and Ed for taking such good care of me. read more

Today (Saturday) was my second attempt to get an exam and glasses at this location. The previous attempt (Thursday) was a walk-in. They said it would be about five minutes. After ten minutes, they told me an additional 30 minutes. Told me to make an appointment. Today I called, and they said they needed a specialist because I was over 80 (85). Available on Monday. After reading reviews, I think I made the correct decision not to try again. read more

False advertising! Out of hundreds of glasses they have, only a handful are part of the 79 dollar deal and of course the ugliest ones. They also advertise same day delivery and they told my mom it would take 2weeks to get the glasses. The person who attended my mom told her she didn't need an exam, even though she didn't have a prescription. We just walked out! read more

This company propaganda, it's just propaganda.. when you get there, everything is charged in away you can't have the second pair, and the prices there is way more expensive than Costco and LensCrafters!!! Also, the eye exam is not right.. read more

Their advertised pricing doesn't tie to what's available in this store. When asked why the answers seem more like bait and switch than complaint. Don't need the hassle have been wearing glasses for over 55 years. read more

Eddie and Steven are great to work with. They try to get your frames finished as soon as possible and they are so helpful. I like the way the eye exams are thorough even without a live person in the room... (remote Opticians) They also bring in Live Opticians as well, if you prefer. Just ask a lot of questions and read the fine print when comparing the promotions.... I got a brand new frames and lenses at a reasonable price. (Plus they have the satisfaction guarantee as long as you were your frames for a little bit of time) read more

I'm a contacts user for the past 10 year and I have been with them for almost 5 now. They might be a bit pricey but I have never had any issues with my contacts ever! I did have something wrong with my eye(couple of months ago) for weeks and they prescribed me eye drops who fixed the issue with in 2days! Never have had an issue that they weren't able to resolve so quickly! Definitely recommend them for anyone! read more

The staff is so friendly! I don't know why this location has low stars as they helped me out; took some time due to their system being slow but they can't control that. Robert and Stanton were great. Polite, informative, patient and very very helpful. We love Stanton Optical on Glades and can't wait to see my new frames in a week or so. Great selection btw and staff was very helpful as well. read more

I visited on November 9, Monday. The Assistant Optomologist was named Doug. He made me feel comfortable, and was very kind. The primary Optomologist who serviced me was virtual due to COVID-19. This was a little awkward at first, but it turned out fine. She was to the point, but still considered my needs. The store manage was named Luis. He helped me get two pairs of glasses, at an economical price. Be sure to point out the deal if that is what you want, so they are aware to prove you with said package. The only slight issue is that it takes 2 weeks for the glasses to come back to Stanton Optical, but the slower process is likely due to the pandemic. My overall experience was good. I do not understand why the reviews are poor for this establishment. Though I seldom have to get an examination, I would revisit in the future. read more

Made an appointment with another Stanton Optical and when I arrived was advised the appointment would be virtual??? I wasn't advised of this when making the appointment or I wouldn't have bothered. I made an appointment with Glades Rd. Stanton Optical and confirmed there would be a Doctor on site. I arrived on time and was advised that the Doctor had called out sick. My appointment was at 4:30 in the afternoon, yet no call to let me know the doctor would not be there. Never again for this company. read more

Buyer beware this company has the worst customer service you can't call the store you only get a call center that gives you no information. I ordered my glasses January 25 they were due February 10 here we are March 8 and I still don't have it and they won't tell me why and they just keep telling me in a few days a few days go by and they say a few days again, there's nobody to help you if this happens to you if I was you, I would not purchase glasses from Stanton optical read more

Like all of these optical places the price is not always what's advertised with upgrades. However, after two weeks of brand new glasses, I misplaced them or left them somewhere. The manager literally gave me a new $400 pair of glasses and was very pleasant about it. This is not some thing that happens often and I was absolutely shocked I would recommend, if you expect to pay just a little more than the advertisement it's worth the servers that's given read more

This was literally the worst business experience I've probably ever had. The staff are nice but pretty clueless. That's what I get for going to a cheap retail chain for glasses? They use foreign optometrists via video conference, which I guess I was fine with, but they seemed unable and/or unwilling to answer and questions. Most the frames are cheap looking and unstylish, so I have them my own frames to update the lens. It's supposed to take 1-2 weeks to get your glasses back. In fact, this business prides itself on and advertises their speediness. It has been SIX WEEKS SINCE THEY SENT MY FRAMES OUT TO BE FILLED!!!! SIX WEEKS!!!! My eyes are sore, I've called a couple if times and they blame weather conditions for the delayed shipping!!!! Where are my glasses coming from??? Australia?????? I'm so disgusted and appalled. Not to mention the fact that it wasn't even CHEAP!! Lesson learned, don't ever go to a cheap chain again. read more

I cannot stress enough how helpful the manager, Rob, was in my journey (I say this because I'm incredibly indecisive and picky)! He was so helpful and patient. It's rare that I come across this type of incredible customer service these days. My husband made an appointment to purchase glasses without a bright light full exam. He was told to come in on a day and then they wanted to do a remote exam. This was not acceptable so he rescheduled and waited over an hour while other customers were taken before him. Finally he decided to leave because they were not interested in only selling glasses. Very poor communication . I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This business uses a "call center" to schedule appointments...they lied about what insurances they accept! After I paid, out of pocket, they weren't interested in addressing this deception!! Despite requesting my mother's glasses be shipped, it took from October 9th to Nov 24 to finally receive them!! (she's 90 and wasn't going out in the middle of a raging pandemic!) I registered a complaint with BBB, which they responded to, by providing a telephone number for their "corporate" service center!! Ya need an extension number to speak to anyone and they DIDN'T provide one!! They are awful!!! DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! read more

Wow. I have never felt so disrespected at a doctors office before. I called yesterday and made an appointment over the phone. I gave the person my name information and asked them to verify that they take my insurance. He said no problem we take your insurance I even gave them the insurance ID number. He said that somebody tomorrow make a copy of your cards just come on in we have you all set for your appointment. I come in this morning 30 minutes early. The guy ignores me is talking on the phone instead of putting the person on hold on the phone and then saying hello to me. I give them my insurance information he tells me that I do not have any eyeglass coverage. That my insurance does not cover glasses. He then informed me that it's going to be $50 for my eye exam plus the purchase of glasses. Not only did they waste my time. But when I told him that he must've made a mistake because I verified yesterday and I had the same vision insurance for the past three years and nothing has changed. He simply decide to ignore me and make another phone call. Long story short, stay away from this place. Not only are they rude but they don't know how to pull insurance properly. They simply want to bill you and Bill your insurance too. I quickly left. And called my old eye doctor. And I do have vision coverage and I did call my insurance company to verify that this company takes it as well. Take my advice. And stay far far far away no pun intended. read more

Went in to try and make an appointment because I'm on my last pair of contacts. After some help checking on my insurance, they told me it probably won't kick in until next year because of how the plan works. Thankfully, they gave me a trial pair close to my prescription to get me through the next week. I'll definitely be back after the 1st! Thank you!!! read more

So I posted almost 2 years ago about how inept the workers were at this place and the bait and switch and lies to get a person to put their hand in their pocket. Well I did that almost 2 years ago and shame on me I'm a big boy. So a follow-up which is rather comical. I need new glasses go to a local brick and mortar who actually know how to treat a customer. I buy 2 pair of glasses and the tech looks at the ones I'm wearing now and says to me "you must have bought them at Stanton". I have noticed over the last few weeks that there is a film that Stanton put on which is peeling off. After my purchase, I drive over to Stanton and show a guy named Sebastian my glasses. Asks for my name, looks in the computer and says " your glasses are still under warranty" at which point I'm thinking "ok cool" I can have these as back up. Well I couldn't have been wronger. Sebastian with a bun on his head looks at me with a straight face and tells me it's will be $185 to fix the problem that was under warranty!!! So this company advertises 2 pairs of glasses for $79 and I should pay to have something fixed that's under warranty!!! I said to Mr Man Bun, "Are you F---ing kidding me"!!! I should pay you for something that's under warranty. Mr man bun then says " well we are under new management" and there is a 20% co-pay. CO-PAY!!!!! I already friggin paid you!!!! Word to the wise, you get what you pay for. Go to a store that actually cares if you buy from them and doesn't look at you as how much money can they extract from you. Want a good experience? To Boca View Optical and ask for Mondee and see the difference in service. read more

I was looking forward to my appointment at the Boca Raton FL location at Glades and Saint Andrew's but I got there 5 minutes before my appointment and there was one person checking out with the cashier which left the the office coordinator and the optometrist free to greet me, I stood there for 10 minutes looking at them looking at me before the optometrist came and asked if he could help me. The optometrist gave me a tablet to check in and I sat there an additional 25 minutes listening to the three employees trying to decide what they would have for lunch. At this point I realized taking care of customers was not a priority for these people and I walked out. I thought someone would call to ask why I left but no one bothered to check in even though the place was empty when I left. The next day I got a canned text as if I had missed my appointment. Not a good sign if you expect good customer service, this experience was a huge disappointment Staton Optical. My advise is don't waste your time at that location, and perhaps all locations, who knows. read more

We went in Good Faith to Staton Optical in Boca Raton store from a Commercial we saw on TV FOR 2 PAIRS of Glasses for $69.00 including eye exam. We even called up and asked about the special promotion early January. When we made the appointment and arrived at the store the Women receptionist whom is extremely rude told us it doesn't pertain to all eyeglasses it depends on your perception. She never made eye contact with us and was extremely rude. The whole process of picking out your frames gears towards very expensive frames. The Special promotion is only to get you in the store. once you have your eye exam you are railroaded into spending way way more than the special promotion! They are full of deceitful tactics this place and smile while doing it. This place is run like a comedy of errors! The only nice thing about this place is the Doctor who exams your eyes, she is very nice. read more

I have insurance that pays for most of the cost. After doing the exam and picking out the frames, I was quoted $140 for a pair of glasses. This was with extras I told them I didn't want. I told her again i didn't want the extras and she quoted me $80+ I told her my co - pay is only $40 and she asked if I was sure I didn't want the special lense. I told her No Extras. I paid $40. I'm in sales, this is NOT the way to upgrade a customer. I tried to pick a pair of nice sunglasses from the brands listed on their website, but was told the selection on the shelf was all corporate sends them, maybe they will get more later. I'm bringing them back today after realizing the poor quality the glasses were put together and the screws all stripped out. Making a call to my insurance company to see if we can not recommend this location. Everyone was very friendly and with the exception of the girl trying to upgrade all the options, everyone seemed professional. Just not a pleasant experience. read more
