This was really a nice place and staff was very friendly and very accommodating . I enjoyed the tour around the property but when told there was a tour I thought we were going around the inside of the house, the majority of it was outside, and I would have dressed appropriately had I known it was going to be more than an hour outside. It was very informative and enjoyable otherwise. We stayed in the Sackett suite and it was overall a nice experience, however the carpets needed shampooing and I kept smelling mold around the jacuzzi and sink. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and we loved the coffee cake. I would def. come back and stay in another room. This was our first time in a bed and breakfast.

I've stayed here a couple times now and none have been worth mentioning any kudos for. The breakfast is fine- just yoghurt, some berries and pastries. Everything is mediocre here. I don't get the high pricing. I would NEVER stay here if it's for personal stay. The staff is friendly and I liked the shuttle service for when our group needed to go to dinner nearby. The room needs a serious facelift. Who crochets friggin shower curtains? Looks haunted. We usually also have company get together here but L'Escale was closed during my last visit (past week). We had a retirement party here as well and booked the entire first floor banquet and a lot of us stayed here. I see from the other reviews that people are bothered by these parties- I feel for them, but the hotel doesn't have any obligation to let you know beforehand of such events unfortunately.

Once checked in we headed to the cafe & got some food, they were serving brunch, drinks kept it simple with Coffee & Ice tea not bad. I had the Ricotta whipped pancakes, yumm they were so good fluffy pancakes with the fruit topping was just right, no syrup needed hubby had the Eggs benedict very good as well. After our meal we headed to the pool to relax, pool area is small but decent overall great hot tub. Gym is also located in this area, not bad with available shower to use. For a quick morning bite we tried the coffee shop, Decent blueberry muffin & Egg & cheese panini. Room wise it was great, nice & spacious, comfy bed & good toiletries to use. The hotel grounds are nicely kept, Pool table located in front room, atrium when you enter is nice open space, they have a movie theater on the property. This was a nice & relaxing stay, hotel saved our weekend.

This…read moreproperty is clean, modern, and loaded with comfortable features, including super-fast Wi-Fi, a responsive TV system, and even a smart toilet. They also provide a convenient, light continental breakfast with fresh mini croissants and bagels. My only real complaint was the noise from above. Staying on the third floor, I could clearly hear footsteps upstairs, so the insulation isn't the best. The room layout was also a bit quirky (like two chairs weirdly facing a blank wall), but the overall cleanliness and high-tech amenities easily make this one of the top stays in the region.

The J House staff really know how to take care of you at their restaurant . We ordered chicken nuggets and pasta with butter for the little ones. Several of us ordered the lobster bisque when we heard it as the speciall soup of the day. Others ordered flat bread pizza as appetizers. For my entree I ordered Caesar salad with chicken. All different lunch items were ordered by my family. Before they brought the Lobster bisque they gave us hot plates and told us not to touch the plates. A server came out with a pot and poured the lobster bisque into the hot plates.. Wow. It was not only delicious but extremely hot the entire time while having the soup. My Caesar salad was topped with a biscuit rather than croutons and an abundance of chicken. I really enjoyed it as did my family enjoying their meals. The cappuccino was over the top. I used a spoon to scoop the creamy foam off the top. Wow again! This was the best cappuccino I ever had.Sal E. New Rochelle .

We stayed over as part of a group attending a nearby wedding reception - Lorbie handled many changes people made to add or subtract days to their reservations smoothly and politely. We would definitely recommend this hotel. The only draw back was no breakfast. And the lobby Starbucks closes at 10:30 AM on Sunday. If you have been up late on Saturday (as we were), that is just about the time you would really appreciate a light breakfast and a steaming cup of joe! Great place.

I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriot Rye for one night for my brother's wedding. Even though I…read morelive relatively close, there were a bunch of people staying over and I figured I would be wiped after the wedding - so I decided to stay. Location, layout, and cleanliness are the biggest positives Courtyard has IMO. It's not located in a heavy commercial area, but *is* right off a major highway which gives you access to several other areas of Westchester. The wedding was relatively far from the hotel in New Rochelle, but we were able to get there in under 20 minutes. The common areas and my room were very tidy - everything was in place and functional. The layout is kind of like a broken square that has a courtyard (name connection!) in the middle. Even though my room was at the very end of the hall (furthest from the lobby), there was an entrance to the hotel right by my room along with parking so there was no need to hike it to get in my car. I was in a king room which also had a couch that looked like it could be converted to a futon. There was a coffee machine with some samples, and a large bottle of water that cost $6. Bathroom was a simple setup - the toilet was old, I didn't have confidence flushing. The shower was the weakest part of the room - the head was old and water only came out of a few holes (it wasn't adjustable). The accommodations were fine - I imagine that many a wedding party stay here (there were three others staying here at the same time we were). The common area was spacious, they have a nice seating area with a bar, and separate rooms for more private gatherings. They also have a restaurant and a fitness center, but I didn't see/use them. There is an abundance of parking onsite, albeit they charge $10/night. Staff was pretty good - I didn't interact with many but my check in process was mostly smooth. Overall, I had a fine experience at Courtyard Rye - this is not in the most prime location, and it's not the fanciest place, but it's an ideal spot for a short stay if you're in the area for an event.
