Both of us were from Christian and Catholic backgrounds and we found the moral and spiritual guidance intertwined with their sports program complementary to our parenting style. We decided to transfer our children from public to private schools simply due to the opportunities, rigor, and environment that private schools afford. Each family views and values education differently, and in our case- my father instilled in me that "education is something that no one can take away from you." Therefore, we value a holistic and realistic education that provides many opportunities. How children perform and function in school is the sum of familial values and school environment. All Saints Catholic School complemented our familial values based on the following: 1. My kids are always excited when they come home and love being at school. For communication, I personally prefer email--it's a reliable way to avoid small mix-ups like forgetting a note. Kids will be kids, and they'll get wild without their parents around, but that's part of growing up. Sometimes, I think the low-star reviews come from people who didn't get their way, rather than reflecting the true spirit of Stonebrae. I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication. The kids do a wide variety of hands-on activities in TK, including crafts, science experiments, and even cooking. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included in the tuition, which was a huge help. My kid is a really picky eater and they encouraged him to try everything, but if he didn't like it they would give him something else to eat (cereal, fruit, etc...) If you're enrolled full day the drop-off/pick-up window is very flexible for working parents - 6:30am-6:00pm. I typically didn't pick my son up until 5:45pm because he refused to leave if I came earlier. He was always having too much fun! I want to add that I just adore the kindergarten teacher, Miss Norita, and I am sad he won't be attending kindergarten at Elmhurst. We're leaving because my son was admitted to the Mandarin DLI program in Hayward and you have to start that in kindergarten. We plan to enroll our second child here once he is old enough.

I believe Ms Harris to be bias in her reports and in her investigations. She is unwelcoming and takes a very long time to respond if at all. She is unfamiliar with student policies and divisions. She also was unable to adhere to State and Federal regulations. As well as uninformed of the Department of Education laws and procedures. She claimed, that is another departments process. I attempted to also contact Ms. Wu however is busy "acting" again as - interim superintendent meanwhile Dr. Jason Reimans investigations has ceased. We filed our complaint to the OCR's and have received a response from the attorney to process their investigation. We will contact news media and bring attention to these concerns and violations from the District in regard to my students health, education, and violations of the Federal laws. I will be pulling our student by the end of this week. We are concerned for our safety, and well being since this has been going on for the last three years. The staff have neglected their responsibilities, and violated laws of a protected student who is designated under the Disabilites Act, section 504.

I also had to make an appointment for fingerprinting, and they only offered a few time slots per day. The receptionist was nice and directed me to the correct floor. When I arrived to the HR department for fingerprinting, they took forever (~20 minutes) getting things set up (which I didn't know since they just took my information and left for a really long time, so I had no idea what was going on in the back). However, when the lady came back, everything was smooth from there. She was very polite and I was out of the building right afterwards.
