Since this company hasn't yet been reviewed, I thought I'd take this opportunity to do so to inform others considering this company. I should first state that our landlord hired this service and I am simply writing based on the interaction we had with them. Now, they do a good job mowing and maintaining the lawn so if that's all you care about, then they might very well work for you. However, if you value a company who is considerate and respectful towards you or your tenants property and privacy take a miss with Stantastic. Our first experience with them was when we first moved in. Our landlord had requested that Stan set the sprinkler system controller, which is in our garage. One day a truck pull ups and an individual simply walks into my open garage (I was in the process of moving stuff in), no knock on the door or introduction. Now, our landlord had requested this be done but Stan knew full well there were renters and out of respect should have confirmed an entry to the house, before walking in. At that point we did not know who he was until I confronted him. Poor communication on his AND our landlords part. The next issue was when we once forgot to coil up our hose and rather than them moving the hose off the lawn, it was thrown into the mulch in a manner that permanently kinked the hose. I'm definitely at fault for leaving the hose in their way, but simply taking the time to move it without damaging it would have been appreciated. Lastly, lawn services stopped for the winter as usual. When spring rolled around I was expecting a notification from either our landlord or Stan about when services would resume. Nothing. Sitting in my backyard one nice spring day and low and behold someone barges into the backyard unannounced, fortunately I wasn't wearing my birthday suit but got quite a surprise...it was Stan. Again, poor communication on the landlords part as well, but at this point Stan had my phone number and a simple heads up would have been professional. I realize they are probably busy and don't consider calling their clients before resuming services, but that case exemplifies their lack of respect for those not paying their dues. read more
