    Friendly, fast and attentive service. Much appreciated! I was able to get in and out and back on my way. A great fixture in Hoboken.

    We've shopped at Paragon for decades and always had good to great experiences there. The staff is…read morewell-informed, has integrity and the merchandise is of excellent quality. Tonight l had another great experience at Paragon thanks to the sensitivity and good nature of Mike R in the upstairs shoe and boot department. As a rule, my 88-year old husband doesn't like to buy himself new clothes. But after what feels like weeks in this polar vortex, with him stubbornly trudging and slipping through the snow in old rubber rain boots and a cane, l stopped hinting and put my foot down: we were going to buy him some warm, waterproof boots with cleats. Knowing that he might only put up with one outing, I decided to scout Paragon on my own, first. Mike R. advised me he had only one style of boot that fit what l was looking for and not many sizes left. When he came back with a size in the ballpark, l asked if he could hold it for me. Mike was blunt: he couldn't do any 24-hour holds with the stock so low, but he could hold it for two hours. I thanked him, explaining that if l bought these and presented them to my husband as a done deal he would never even try them on. But we'd be back, within the hour. When we arrived on the floor, Mike picked right up on the dynamic: this was not a customer for a hard sell. And so Mike was the soul of discretion. He kept a low profile, talking quietly and only to me and showed up just often enough to be helpful. He was patient, kind and l got the feeling he was enjoying the challenge of selling without ever even connecting with the guy trying on the boots. And Mike's strategy worked! We made the transition from my husband's original reaction to the only boots in his size ("l hate them!") to walking out with four pairs of socks and that same pair of warm, waterproof boots with cleats. I am deeply grateful to and frankly in awe of Mike R, Paragon boots department. Thank you!

    So irritated by our experience at this Dick's. First, nothing annoys me more than having to pay for…read moreparking to shop at a store. Keep in mind that the parking garage costs $5. Also, you have to basically go through the WORST part of Holland Tunnel traffic to get there. Then Google maps directed us to a terrible location in the mall for going to Dicks. Not an auspicious start. We went to this Dick's specifically because they are one of a handful that has Hittrax to try out softball bats. If I'm spending $500 on a bat, I absolutely want to see how effective it will be before purchasing. When we arrived, they had rented out the Hittrax for a BIRTHDAY PARTY. What??? It wasn't even a softball related party. It was a bunch of little kids playing kickball in a space that was designed to allow people to test pricey gear before buying. They should not be renting this space for ANYTHING. It should be available for what it is intended for. When we asked the staff to help us locate the bats we were looking for, they were too busy with their conversation to pay us any mind. They finally agreed to help but only for a minute or two. They went back to their gabbing while we tried, in vain, to pull bats from the top rung. When we finally looked through everything, the selection they had was fairly uniform with 5 or 6 bats in one length and drop and none in any other. It was annoying. We are super annoyed that this Dick's was lame. We will never return.

There's a lot of promotions for new members, so check it out! Wide selection of gear for all sports: baseball, running, rock climbing, golf, you name it. Everyone is very nice here. Will definitely check it out. They have restrooms as well and changing rooms.

    Purchased a flag from this company. When I received it, I noticed that it was one-sided and thus…read morenot suitable for flying. I contacted the customer service department notifying them of the issue. The customer service department instructed me to take a picture of the item so that they could see that it was one-sided. To do this, the package had to be opened. After sending them the pictures, they informed me that because I had opened the packaging, they would not refund the purchase. Now, I can understand if a business makes that their policy, but it's actually not their policy (as of this writing). Their site says: "100% customer satisfaction is our number one goal! We work with our customers to make sure they are satisfied with our service and their orders. If you are not satisfied with our service, please give us a call. Our customer service staff is trained to do whatever they can to meet your needs!" What I received was an email telling me that I wouldn't get my money back. Not only is that deceptive, it's just plain bad business. Thankfully, the flag was purchased through Amazon.com. I explained the situation to Amazon, showing them BigFly's satisfaction "guarantee." Amazon refunded the purchase. Can't recommend this company to anyone until or unless they completely overhaul their customer service department. They don't seem to be too concerned with the customer after they have your money.

The description stated it was for "small" dogs…read more After talking to someone at Walmart via phone, we determined the vest would indeed fit my mini poodle. It did not. It would fit a fat mouse! When I called Walmart for an exchange, I was told that Big Fly Sports was a fulfillment partner and to contact them directly, which I did. Although their communication tone was pleasant, it wasn't until a few emails later that I was told to ask for an RMA#, there is a restocking fee of 15% and the company does not do exchanges! What a gig! I called Walmart and explained the situation to them. Unfortunately, the said they could do nothing but pass the information on as a complaint. I requested that Walmart require a more detailed item description from their vendors as well as posting the vendors Return Policy online. I would not have ordered from this company if this information had been posted. The motto is: use Amazon.com and beware when ordering from "fulfillment partners". Big Fly is a Big Lie when it comes to customer satisfaction. Walmart was a disappointment too.
